Objective To investigate the significance of anticentromere antibody(ACA)in patients with primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC).Method ACA was detected using indirect immunofluorescence(IIF)in 99 patients with PBC,and the difference was compared between patients with and without ACA.Results Fifty-three patients(53.5%)had ACA in serum. The average age of onset was elder in patients with ACA than in patients without ACA[(52.6?1.5)vs(46.2?2.0),P=0.012].There was no significant difference in sex ratio between the two groups.Incidence of gastrointestinal bleeding was higher in patients with than without ACA (13.2% vs 0,P=0.014).Difference was not significant in symptoms such as fatigue, pruritus, icterus, etc. Though it didn't reach statistically significant, the incidence of esophageal varices was higher in patients with ACA than without ACA(45.8% vs 10.0% respectively,P=0.061).There was no significant difference in diam- eter of portal vein, splenomegaly, ascites.Biochemically only serum total protein reached statistical significance between the two groups[(73.3+1.1)g/L vs(78.1+l.7)g/L respectively,P=0.017].Patients with ACA had low- er serum IgG than ACA negative patients[(15.1?0.6)g/L vs(18.4?1.0)g/L respectively,P=0.006].Nuclear envelope pattern(NE),one of the patterns of ANA,was rare in ACA positive group than ACA negative group (16.7% vs 50.0% respectively,P=0.002).Conclusion The prevalence of ACA is high in patients with PBC. Patients with ACA have high risk of oesophageal varices and gastrointestinal bleeding.Nuclear envelope pat- tern of ANA is rare in patients with ACA.

At present, lung cancer has entered a new era of immunotherapy. However, a single immunotherapy is unable to satisfy the requirements of the immune microenvironment. More and more different combined immunotherapy schemes have become effective methods to overcome immune resistance. As a promising target in the novel immunotherapy, cancer-testis antigen (CTA) is a highly specific tumor antigen to produce a powerful anti-tumor immune response that is almost only expressed in malignant tumors. This article reviews the research progress of CTA's expression, function and immunotherapy application in lung cancer.

Objective To study the function of LSD1 in the development of neurons and the influence of LSD1 on mood and memory-related behavior in mice. Methods The LSD1(flox / flox) transgenic mice were crossed with Nestin?cre(Tg) transgenic mice, using Cre?LoxP recombination system, to generate LSD1 conditional knockout of neural stem cell ( LSD1?CKO) mice, LSD1(flox/ flox) Nestin?cre(Tg) mice, and LSD1(flox/ flox) mice as control. The neuron proliferation in LSD1?CKO mice was further detected by immunofluorescence staining. At the same time, the mood and memory?related behavior of LSD1?CKO mice were examined using several methods:sucrose preference test ( SPT) , forced swimming test ( FST) and novel?object recognition ( NOR) assay. Results In the LSD1 brain?specific CKO mice, the neuron proliferation rate in the hippocampus was significantly reduced ( P=0. 023 ) , the preference for sucrose was reduced ( P =0. 0075 ) , immobility duration during the forced swimming test was increased (P<0. 05), and LSD1?CKO mice also exhibits memory?decline (P=0. 0019) during the novel?object recognition test. Conclusions Depletion of LSD1 in mouse brain neural stem cells leads to significant reduction of the neuron proliferation in the hippocampus. LSD1?CKO mice show more negative emotions and memory impairment.

The main problems and solutions of mineral drugs in clinical use were studied based on the investigation on the quality of Haematitum and Fluoritum pieces in venalicium. The outward appearance and intrinsic quality of Haematitum and Fluoritum pieces in venalicium were studied by the requires which were in the first part of Chinese Pharmacopoeia published in 2010. The outward appearance and intrinsic quality of mineral drugs had large differences, the disqualification rate was 41.67% in 12 batches of Haematitum pieces and the disqualification rate was 53.85% in 13 batches of Fluoritum pieces. The crushing granularity of mineral drugs should be defined, the quality standards should be further improved. The drug adiministration ought to strengthen inspection and supervision in order to ensure the stability and reliability of the clinical efficacy.

To make a systematic analysis on literatures concerning traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) advices in Treatise on Febrile Diseases, and summarize the main connotations of traditional Chinese medicine advices, relevant TCM advices in Treatise on Febrile Diseases were collected, screened, compared, summarized and analyzed according to TCM dosage form preparation methods, TCM administration methods, medication contraindications and nursing after TCM administration. The literatures concerning medications in Treatise on Febrile Diseases were consulted, summarized and compared to standardize medicine advices and facilitate rational clinical application of TCMs. The standard medicine advices were as follows. The boiling water for TCMs shall be tap water and well water. The decoctions that have effects in promoting blood and meridians can be boiled with wine. The decoctions containing toxic components can be boiled with honey. Some TCMs shall be boiled with special methods, e. g. Herba Ephedra that could be boiled before other medicine and skimmed. Japonica rice could be added in decoctions to measure the duration of decoctions. Different dosages were required for different forms (litre, pill, medicine spoon). Administration times, temperature and frequency shall be adjusted according to target positions, functions and stage of illness. As for dietary contraindications during medication, thick porridges are recommended, where foods impacting medicine efficacy are prohibited. Regarding nursing after medication is important to recover physical functions, particularly warm porridges can go with diaphoretic recipes, while thick porridges can go with purgative recipes. And drug efficacies shall be defined by observing urine and excrements, and blood form. In conclusion, Treatise on Febrile Diseases is the first book that discusses TCM advices and records them in details. In this study, new standard medicine advices were proposed to provide important basis for improving clinical advices of TCMs and supports for developing the TCM dispensing technology.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2010;9(1):50-51
Seventy eight patients suspected of intrauterine adhesion (IUA) were scanned with two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) transvaginal uhrasonography, the results were analyzed with hysteroscopic findings as the gold standard. The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of three-dimensional transvaginal ultrasonography in diagnosis of IUA were 97% (58/60), 18/18, 97% (76/78), 100% (58/58) and 90% (18/20). Three-dimensional transvaginal ultrasonography was more accurate in diagnosis of IUA than two-dimensional ultrasonography ( P < 0. 01 ),and the IUA classification and grading with three-dimensional transvaginal ultrasonography was better correlated with hysteroscopic findings.
