1.Research progress of calcification and anti-calcification of implanted silicone rubber
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2014;37(1):57-60
Calcification of silicone rubber is a pathologic mineralization phenomenon which occurs on the surface after it is implanted in vivo, and there is no effective prevention method. The important process of calcification including these steps:phosphate ions combined with calcium ions to promote nucleating aggregation, slow increasing, fusion, and gradually form a larger accumulation of hydroxyapatite calcium. The research had been developed to the level of cells and genes, such as matrix Gla protein clusters is a calcification inhibitor of the tissues around silastic prosthesis. It is necessary to obtain a theoretical breakthrough in the aspect of organic template modulation of inorganic crystals.Silicone elastomer having its own local anti-calcification property had been paid more attention.Fully revealing the mechanism of calcification and calcification-resistant of silicone rubber will probably provide the basis for building a new anti-calcification material.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2011;34(36):23-24
Objective To investigate the reason and prevention of severe hyponatremia in hysteroscope treatment of the submucous myoma.Method Retrospective study was done on 106 cases of submucous myoma,3 cases with severe hyponatremia after hysteroscope treatment. Results The rate of hyponatremia was 2.8%(3/106),patients appeared nausea and vomiting 1 hour after hysteroscope treatment, blood sodium was lower than 110 mmol/L,volume of distention liquid was 8000-10000 ml,the volume of discharge was 6300-7500 ml.Three patients were treated immediately,1 patient was given sodium lactate Ringer injection and 0.9% sodium chloride by intravenous drip, and furosemide by discontinuous injection 15 hours later, the hyponatremia was recovery; 2 patients were given 3% sodium chloride and 15% potassium chloride by intravenous drip, and furosemide by injection,12 hours later, the hyponatremia were recovery. Conclusion The prevention of severe hyponatremia complication after hysteroscope treatment of the submucous myoma not only need operate carefully but also need take active preventive measures.
3.Assessing the trunk control of children with spastic cerebral palsy
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2013;(4):278-281
Objective To investigate the trunk stability control of spastic cerebral palsy patients, and to analyze their visual compensation and the resulting symmetrical balance of the trunk. Methods Twenty children with spastic cerebral palsy and 20 healthy children formed the experimental and control groups respectively.Their balance was tested using the PK 254P rehabilitation system.Trunk stability and symmetry parameters were measured in standardized silent sitting for 30s with the eyes open and closed. The anterior-posterior (AP) and mediolateral deviations of the center of pressure (COP),the average speed of COP excursions in each direction, the COP perimeter, and the ellipse area of the COP were quantified. Results The two groups showed statistically significant differences in the average values of all the variables measured. The differences in the trunk stability control parameters of the experimental group between the eyes-open and eyes-closed conditions were significantly greater than those of the control group. The offset of the medial-lateral COP in the spastic cerebral palsy subjects was nearly symmetrical (the average position of the COP on the X axis was close to zero),while the anterior-posterior offset tended to the anterior direction (the average position of the COP on the Y axis was significantly positive). The medial-lateral and anterior-posterior offsets of the health subjects were nearly symmetrical (both close to zero). Conclusion Children with spastic cerebral palsy have less trunk stability control than healthy children. They rely more on visual cues in compensation.Their medial-lateral COP control is nearly symmetrical, but their anteriorposterior posture tends to the anterior.
4.Effect of hypoxia-ischemia on cysteinyl aspartate-specific proteinases activity in cerebral tissue of neonatal rat
Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2001;36(2):79-81
Objective To study the effect of hypoxia-ischemia on cysteinyl aspartate-specific proteinases (caspase-3) activity in cerebral tissue of neonatal rat and probe into its significance. Methods To induce hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD), the left carotid artery of rats at day 7 was ligated and animals were exposed to 8% oxygen for 2 hours. 0.5,12,24,and 48 hours after HIBD, both ipsilateral and contralateral cerebral tissue were ditected and homogenized. caspase-3 activity was measured by cleavage of the colorimetric substrate DEVD-pNA. Results Caspase-3 activity in ipsilateral cerebral tissue increased gradually after HIBD and peaked at 24 hours, and then decreased significantly at 48 hours(P<0.001). There were no significant changes in caspase-3 activity in the contralateral tissue at all time points (P>0.05). Conclusions Significant activation of caspase-3 after cerebral hypoxia-ischemia strongly suggests that apoptosis is involved in HIBD. Application of caspase inhibitors or other anti-apoptotic agents may become a new therapeutics of HIBD.

7.Adventitia applied slow-releasing triptolide inhibits intima hyperplasia in vein graft
Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2000;0(12):-
Objective To investigate the inhibitory effect of appling slow-releasing triptolide on adventitia on the intima hyperplasia of autologous vein graft. Methods In 24 male New Zealand rabbits, external jugular vein to common carotid artery models were established, and then were divided into 3 equal groups at random: blank-control group, receiving no management on adventitia of the vein graft; F-127 control group, receiving local application of 0.5 mL of 20 % F-127 on adventitia of the vein graft; experiment group, receiving local application of 0.5 mL of 20 % F-127 containing triptolide 300?g. Vein graft specimens were harvested at 2 weeks after the operation. Histomorphologic methods were used to detect the degree of intima hyperplasia of the specimens. The expression of bcl-2 and Fas of the specimens was detected by immunohistochemistry. The apoptosis vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC) were detected by TUNEL.Results Two weeks after vein grafting, compared to blank-control group and F-127 control group, intima hyperplasia of experiment group [intima thickness (29.9?7.6)?m, I/M 0.56?0.08] was markedly inhibited (P

9.An Electron Microscopic Observation on the Weibel-Paladelike body in the Growth Hormone Cell and Follicular - stellate Cell of Rabbit
Journal of Third Military Medical University 1983;0(03):-
The Weibel-Palade-like body were found in the cytoplasm of the growth hormone and follicullar - stellate cells of rabbit adenopypophsis. The body is surrounded by a single unit membrane. In this body, there are numerous of microtubules which can be divided into two groups depending upon their diameters.Yet, it is uncertain what the virtual function is and where the bodies come from. However, according to the experimental observations, it is suggested that the body serve as a mechanical power device which has relations with the regional distribution of the organelles. The intranuclear microtubules and intranuclear tubules were also found in the growth hormone cells. The diameters of these intranuclear microtubules range from 25 - 30 nm, and the intranuclear tubule about 78 nm. The fomer seems to be connected with the heterochromatin granules, and may be. a transitional pattern from heterochromatin to euchromatin, but their importance remain to be clarified.
10.Stereology Applied to the Quantitative Study of Ultrastructures of GH Cells
Journal of Third Military Medical University 1983;0(03):-
The ultrastructural changes in growth hormone (GH) cells of rabbit adeno-hypophysis are determined quantitatively with stereological method after burn injury. Blood sugar levels are concurrently measured. The results show: the volume fraction of Golgi complex, mitochondria and rough endoplasmic reticulum shows a 2-phase curve after burn, and it may be divided into 3-periods stress, modulation and functional activation and recovery; the rate of maturation of secretory granules is increased; a close relation between the blood sugar and some activities of GH cell secretion after burn presents; the autocrine shows a negative feedback to the exocytosis in the control group, and a positive feedback in burned ones; the newly formed mitochondria may be originated from the new Golgi complex from the reutilization of plasma components.
