Type 2 diabetes mellitus,a endocrine disease,threatens human health.Recent researches have indicated that the osteoprotegerin is associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus closely.The content of osteoprotegerin, existing in circulating system, pancreas, liver and fat of diabetic patients, changed significantly.The osteoprotegerin is also closely related to the vascular complication of diabetes mellitus, which has been discussed by many scholars.In this paper, the relation between osteoprotegerin and type 2 diabetes mellitus is summarized by reviewing relevant literatures, Providing new ideas concerning treatment of diabetes mellitus.

Objective:To determine the content of baicalin in Zhisou Kechuanning syrup.Methods:.HPLC was used and di erent derivatization reaction conditions were investigated with the optimal conditions found to be the following:the chromatography column was Waters symmetry C 18(5?m;4.6?150mm),the mobile phase(solvent) was a mixture of methanol-0.1% Phosphoric acid(45:55)with a ow rate of 0.8 ml/min,and the detection wavelength was 280nm.Results:The linear range of Bergenin was 0.41-8.13?g with correlation factor r=0.9997,the average recovery was 98.36% and RSD=1.08%.Conclusion:This method is simple,reproducible,and can be used for quantitative determination of baicalin in Zhisou Kechuanning Syrup.

Purpose To review English and Chinese literatures on diagnosing kidney tumor using contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS). Materials and Methods CEUS and kidney tumor were selected as the key words to search CNKI, Wanfang data, CBMDisc, VIP, Embase, the Cochrane Library and PubMed from March 2009 to March 2014. According to evidence-based medicine requirements, heterogeneity test and quality evaluation were performed to evaluate the literature that met the inclusion criteria. The pooled sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic odds ratio (DOR) of included literature were calculated to determine summery receiver operating characteristic curve (SROC), and calculated the area under the curve (AUC) as well as Q index. Results A total of 12 studies met the inclusion criteria, including 9 in Chinese and 3 in English. Heterogeneity test showed a low heterogeneity among the literature, thus fixed effect models used. The pooled sensitivity was 0.95 (95%CI 0.93-0.96), specificity was 0.79 (95%CI 0.73-0.84), DOR was 76.36 (95%CI 41.73-139.71), Q index was 0.9208, and SROC AUC was 0.9706. Conclusion CEUS has high diagnostic value and accuracy for kidney tumors, which can provide imaging information for clinical decision.

Diabetic macular edema (DME) is one of causes leading to visual acuity loss in the diabetic population.In recent years,great progress has been achieved in the treatment for DME.While laser photocoagulation and pars plana vitrectomy remain the standard of care,a new wave of methods,including intravitreal corticosteroid and anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) medications,is emerging and shows the preliminary safety and efficacy profile for DME by a number of clinical trials.This article introduce the definition,classification,pathogenesis and the different treatment methods for DME,so to aid ophthalmologists in evaluating the most appropriate and up-todate management options in managing DME.Particular attention is paid to summarize recent peer-reviewed literatures of ranibizumab (Lucentis).

Polyethylene glycol 400 is thermoresistant, stable, odorless and not irritative, and it can promote the solubility of the complex salt. Ethanol can accelerate the dissolution speed of the complex salt in polyethelene glycol and make the solution more translucent.The solution so prepared is relatively stable.

ObjectiveTo investigate the factors correlated with compliance with rehabilitation in hemiplegic patients after stroke.MethodsIndividualized rehabilitational programs had been designed for 60 post-stroke hemiplegic patients. They were investigated with the questionnaire of compliance established by our-selves. ResultsThere was significant difference between compliant and incompliant patients in education attainment, economic condition, family relations, patient-doctor relation, depression, Barthel Index, and motor function. ConclusionDeveloping an effective rehabilitational program, establishing a sound doctor-patient relationship and a stable social support, can be helpful to improve the compliance with rehabilitation in hemiplegic patients after stroke.
