1.Application of Bar Code System in HIS for Outpatient Clinic

Objective To introduce bar-code system to the hospital information system in order to reduce the workload of the medical practitioners, shorten the patients" waiting time, and improve data quality and hospital general service level. Methods In the use of artificial print bareode and prefabricated bareode, the patient" ID and laboratory test barcode labels are created as the replacement of the manual data inputting and patient identification in the period of outpatient treatment. Results Bareode management system is established by working with HIS and LIS. Conclusion The bar code is used in the clinic HIS, which ean simplify job flow and improve working efficiency of registration office, and charging room, bloodletting room, laboratory department, clearing duty, and improve medical service quality.
2.Construction of Safe Data-back-up System

Objective To construct a safe data-back-up system with disaster-tolerant ability. Methods Based on the concept of data back -up, the paper puts forward several data back -up modes in common use, and carries out corresponding comparison. Results The author synthesized these back -up modes into an ideal, feasible, and highly secure system architecture with disaster-tolerant ability. Conclusion Constructing a safe data-back-up system are becoming the mostly indispensable elements for the hospital informationization. It can avoid the single fault in the hardware level, and also can repair the logical data fault in the software level.
3.Design on High-Reliability Key Hospital Database Server System of "No.1 Millitary Medical Project"

Objective To improve the reliability of the core database system by ameliorating the scheme of the server system architecture. Methods Combined with practice of the hospital informatization, the security and potential hole of the database server system were analyzed and evaluated. Results Aimed to deal with the security hidden-trouble, a mini-server was adopted instead of PC server, while SAN(Storage Area Network) was utilized instead of RAID-5, and mirror copy technique was used to implement the real-time hot copy of the data. Conclusion Consequently the reliability of the system has been greatly improved.
4.Optimization of armymen's hospitalized flow through construction of digital clinical system

Objective To explore the theory and measures of armymen's clinical flow through information technology based on an exclusive armymen clinical area.Methods On the basis of No.1 Military Medical Project,such system was developed as automatic medical service classification & guide system,clinic backstage & auto-medicine provision system and comprehensive clinical service system in order to optimize medical service for armymen.Results By integrating the armymen's clinical information system,Navy General Hospital optimized comprehensively the clinical flow of registration,waiting,diagnosis,pricing,medicine pick-up,etc.Therefore,the efficiency of medical service for the army was greatly improved.Conlusion The full application of information technology will make an improvement in clinical flow and provide better service to army patients.
5.Design and Analysis on Improving Reliability of Hospital Information System

Objective To discuss how to improve the stability,reliability and security of the core servers of hospital information system.Methods Flaws on security were analyzed objectively in hospital server system adopting 'PC server & local hardisk' scheme.New schemes were put forward including both hot standby scheme based on concentrated storage and full redundancy scheme based on'minicomputer & diskette array'.Results It is proved that the full redundancy scheme is reasonable in theory,and usable in practice.Conclusion The mode of'minicomputer & diskette array' can effectively enhance the stability,reliability and safety of core servers.
6.Analysis and Realization of Transfusion Label Based on HIS

Objective To develop a software through which transfusion labels can be created and printed automatically based on No.1 Military Medical Project,in order to resolve the problems of time-and-labor-consuming and errors due to transcription. Methods Based on No.1 Military Medical Project,the software of creating and printing transfusion labels was developed using PB computer programming language. Results The software can effectively avoid the errors due to copying transfusion labels by hand and save much time and effort. It optimizes nurses' working procedure. Conclusion The software is very practical for all the hospitals using the No.1 Military Medical Project.
7.Construction and realization of real world integrated data warehouse from HIS on re-evaluation of post-maketing traditional Chinese medicine.

OBJECTIVETo construct real world integrated data warehouse on re-evaluation of post-marketing traditional Chinese medicine for the research on key techniques of clinic re-evaluation which mainly includes indication of traditional Chinese medicine, dosage usage, course of treatment, unit medication, combined disease and adverse reaction, which provides data for reviewed research on its safety,availability and economy,and provides foundation for perspective research.
METHODThe integrated data warehouse extracts and integrate data from HIS by information collection system and data warehouse technique and forms standard structure and data. The further research is on process based on the data.
RESULTA data warehouse and several sub data warehouses were built, which focused on patients' main records, doctor orders, diseases diagnoses, laboratory results and economic indications in hospital.
CONCLUSIONThese data warehouses can provide research data for re-evaluation of post-marketing traditional Chinese medicine, and it has clinical value. Besides, it points out the direction for further research.

8.Designs and thoughts of real world integrated data warehouse from HIS on re-evaluation of post-maketing traditional Chinese medicine.

OBJECTIVETo discuss the feasibility and necessity of using HIS data integration to build large data warehouse system which is extensively used on re-evaluation of post-marketing traditional Chinese medicine, and to provide the thought and method of the overall design for it.
METHODWith domestic and overseas' analysis and comparison on clinical experiments' design based on real world using electronic information system, and with characteristics of HIS in China, a general framework was designed and discussed which refers to design thought, design characteristics, existing problems and solutions and so on.
RESULTA design scheme of HIS data warehouse on re-evaluation of post-marketing traditional Chinese medicine was presented.
CONCLUSIONThe design scheme was proved to be high coherence and low coupling, safe, Universal, efficient and easy to maintain, which can effectively solve the problems many hospitals have faced during the process of HIS data integration.
