Objective To analyze, the risk factors and related psychological factors in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)and survey the curative effect. Methods All of 200 outpatients with GERD(GERD group) and 200 healthy persons (control group)from January 2006 to January 2008 were randomly selected, and the personal data were investigated. The GERD questionnaire (RDQ) and the Zung-self-rating depression scale (SDS) test were used. Results In GERD group, the proportions of high education, city living, marriage instability ,heavy working pressure, high body mass index (BMI),smoking and drinking habit, peptic disease in family, using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) were higher than those in control group (Pall < 0.01). After treatment, the patients in GERD group had lower scores in the RDQ and SDS test than those before treatment (P< 0.01). Conclusions There are many risk factors in patients with GERD, especially the psychological factors. The therapy of GERD should combine with psy-chotherapy and avoid high BMI, smoking, drinking and overusing the NSAID.

Objective To explore the imaging radiological and clinicopathological characteristics of benign fibrous histiocytoma (BFH) of bone, in order to improve the imaging diagnostic accuracy of the disease Methods Radiological and clinical data of 16 patients with BFH confirmedbypathology were retrospectively analyzed , and relevant literatures were reviewed. Results The X-ray findings of 14 BFHpatients were osteolytic lesion , expansive destruction of bone, without soft tissue involvement, 10 with residual apophysis,9 with osteosclerosis marginal; CT was performed on 2 patients. Expansive destruction of bone and soft tissue densities were seen inside the loops , 1 case remarkable enhancement of the lesion. MRI was performed on 9 patients and 5 cases showed long T1 and T2 signal intensity; 1case showed equal T1 and long T2 signal intensity in cystic part and equal T1 and T2 signal intensity in the solid part. One patient had pathological fracture, and the surrounding soft tissue invaded, showing equal T1 and long T2 signal intensity. Two lesions located at spinous process of cervical vertebra , showing long T1 short T2 and equal T1 and T2 signal intensity. Linear low signal separation shadow in T1 and T2 could be seen in 6 cases. Long T1 and short T2 sclerotic ring were seen in 4 cases. Solid part of tumor and linear separator were obviously enhanced. Conclusions The radiological findings of benign fibrous histioeytoma of bone indicate some characteristics. The combination with X-ray , CT and MRI examination is helpful to improve the diagnostic accuracy of the disease before operation.

Objective:To explore the correlation between ascending aortic elasticity and coronary blood flow reserve (CFR)in patients with hypertension. Methods:A total of 60 patients with essential hypertension were regarded as hypertension group, another 50 normotensive subjects were enrolled as normal control group during the same period. Ascending aortic dilation (D),stiffness (β)and CFR were measured and calculated by tissue Doppler ultrasound, then compared between two groups.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation amongβ,D and CFR.Results:Compared with normal control group, there were significant reductions in D [(3.59±0.30)10-6 cm2/d vs.(2.88±0.77)10-6 cm2/d]and CFR [(3.23±1.16)vs.(2.02±0.63)],and significant rise inβ[(3.54 ±1.52)vs.(5.46±1.98)]in hypertension group,P<0.05 or<0.01. Pearson correlation analysis indicated thatβwas significant inversely correlated with CFR (r=-0.413,P=0.005),while D was significant positively correla- ted with CFR (r=0.384,P=0.003 ).Conclusion:Reduced ascending aortic elasticity is significantly correlated with coronary blood flow reserve.

Objective To clarify the position, figure and connections with adjacencies in the pallial thickening(Pth),and provide essential parameters for its function study. Methods The coronal serial sections of 60?m thickness in gekko gecko brain were made by cryo-microtome,and Nissl staining was used.Pictures were taken in each coronal section containing the Pth and the size of Pth in each section was measured. One of them was chosen for the three-dimensional reconstruction.3D MAX was used as the tool software to rebuild the nucleus. Results 1.The Pth was located in the rostral part of the telencephalon, the lateral part of anterior dorsal ventricular ridge, the medial part of the lateral cortex and the ventral part of the dorsal cortex. The length of Pth from the rostral to the caudal end was(912.67?110.96)?m(n=10),the cubage of Pth was about(0.1430?0.0414)?m~3(n=10).2.The Pth could be divided into four segments, the anterior, the middle, the posterior and the terminal segments from the rostral to the caudal end.In the posterior segment, its dorsoventral axis was the longest, and could be divided into two parts: the dorsal and the ventral parts. The boundary of the two parts was clear. Conclusion The Pth is a long, narrow and flat structure;its rostrocaudal axis is longer than its dorsoventral axis, and its dorsal edge is smoother than its ventral edge.In the Pth,its caudal region is larger than its rostral region, and the posterior segment in the caudal region is divided into the dorsal and the ventral cell populations.
