Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2010;33(15):17-19
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of intratympanic dexamethasone injection for patients with sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL). Methods Forty-four SSNHL cases (44 ears) which failed to respond to regular treatments were divided into two groups. The intratympanic injection group (24 eases) were injected dexamethasone 2.5 mg to the tympanic cavity every two days,4 times in all. The control group (20 eases) were treated with B1,B12 and triphosaden. Pure tone average (PTA) was tested before and 3 days after treatment. Results The total effective rate of intratympanic injection group was higher than that of control group [37.5%(9/24) vs 10.0%(2/20)] (P < 0.05). In intratympanic injection group, PTA of post-injection was significantly lower than the pre-injection[ (52.75±20.14) dB vs (70.26±20.76) dB ] (P < 0.05). PTA of post-injection in intratympanic injection group was significantly better than that in control group[(52.75±20.14) dB vs (63.55±19.36) dB](P< 0.05). Conclusion Intratympanic dexamethasone injection can be applied to SSNHL patients who failed to respond to systemic corticosteroid treatment and it can avoid the side effects brought on by high dose systemic corticosteroid treatment.

China Pharmacist 2015;(3):462-463
Objective:To observe the effectiveness and security of piperacillin sodium/sulbactam sodium in the treatment of bacte-rial infections and perform the pharmacoeconomics evaluation. Methods: Totally 126 patients with hand trauma bacterial infections were divided into the control group and the treatment group. The control group was given piperacillin sodium/tazobactam sodium 2. 5g, ivd, bid, while the treatment group was treated with piperacillin sodium/sulbactam sodium 1. 25g, ivd, bid. After 14-day treatment, the clinical therapeutic effect and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed, and the cost-minimization analysis was carried out. Results:The effective rate of the treatment group was 93. 65%while that of the control group was 92. 06%(P>0. 05). The bac-terial clearance rate of the treatment group was 96. 83%while that of the control group was 95. 24% (P>0. 05). The incidence of ad-verse reactions of the treatment group was 4. 76% (3/63) while that of the control group was 9. 52%(P>0. 05). The cost-effective-ness of piperacillin/sulbactam was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion: The effectiveness and safety of the two groups show no obvious differences in the treatment of hand trauma bacterial infections, and both have good antibacte-rial effect with low incidence of adverse reactions. For the better economic benefits, piperacillin /sulbactam is worthy of promoted ap-plication.
4.tRNA Nuclear-cytoplasmic Dynamics and Cell Fate
Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(03):-
The robust nuclear-cytoplasmic transport is vital for eukaryotes'life cycle. Not only proteins and RNAs are transferred to their destination by this system, the important cellular activities such as mitosis are also regulated by the transport pathways via adjusting the local concentrations of some critical cargoes.tRNA is one of the most important biomacromolecules in the cell, synthesized in nucleus, and taking part in protein synthesis in cytoplasm. It is a long-held belief that tRNA functions only as a key player in protein synthesis, and tRNA nuclear-cytoplasmic transport is a unidirectional movement from nucleus to cytoplasm. However, the recent discoveries are overturning the traditional opinions.Nuclear-born tRNA can be exported out of nucleus, while cytoplasmic-residing tRNA can also be retrogradely transport into nucleus. The new concept tRNA nuclear-cytoplasmic dynamics was coined in 2008 to describe the tRNA communication between nucleus and cytoplasm, which was found able to regulate protein synthesis and cell cycle in S.cerevisiae.The latest results in this field are going to change the landscape of eukaryotic tRNA biology.
5.Nasal endoscopy in operations for vocal cord polyps under sustaining laryngoscope
Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(04):-
Objective To explore the techniques and effects of excision of vocal cord polyps under sustaining laryngoscope. Medthods Nasal endoscopy was used to obtain a better exposure during excision of vocal cord polyps under sustaining laryngoscope. Results Out of the 128 cases, 100 cases (78 1%) were cured and 28 cases (21 9%) were improved. Among 50 cases of type Ⅰ polyps, 43 (86%) were cured and 7 (14%) improved; among 40 cases of type Ⅱ polyps, 38 (95%) were cured and 2 (5%) improved; among 38 cases of type Ⅲ, 19 (50%) were cured and 19 (50%) improved. The therapeutic effects in cases of type Ⅰ and Ⅱ polyps were significantly better than those in cases of type Ⅲ polyps ( ? 2=13 442 and 20 057; P =0 000). Follow up for 5 months ~ 4 years (mean, 2 years) found no recurrence and complications. Conclusions Application of nasal endoscopy in operations for vocal cord polyps under sustaining laryngoscope may reduce the invasion during operation, shorten the operation time, and avoid or minimize the occurrence of complications.
6.Preparation and antibacterial activity of compound chitosan-compound Yizhihao-nanoparticles
Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2008;33(5):369-374
Objective To prepare chitosan (CS)-compound Yizhihao-nanoparticles (NP) and to investigate its antibacterial activity. Methods CS NPs were formed by the incorporation of CS and Na3PO4. CS-compound Yizhihao NPs were prepared by ion-cross-linking. The particle sizes and surface charges of CS NPs were determined by Malvern Zetasizer 1000-HAS and atomic force microscope (AFM), respectively. The antibacterial acitivity of CS-compound Yizhihao-NPs was studied in vitro and compared with that of compound Yizhihao powder. Results Malvern Zetasizer 1000-HAS and AFM demonstrated that the diameter of CS-compound Yizhihao NPs was (137.00±14.28)nm and CS NPs had (16.90±1.32)mV positive surface charges. The minimal inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of CS-compound Yizhihao NPs on Staphylococcus aureus,Pneumococcus,β-hemolytic streptococcus, and Escherichia coli were 1:32,1:32,1:16,and 1:2,respectively. The minimal bactericidal concentrations (MBC) of CS-compound Yizhihao-NPs on Staphylococcus aureus,Pneumococcus,β-hemolytic streptococcus, and Escherichia coli were 1:16,1:16,1:8, and 1:2,respectively. The antibacterial efficacy of CS-compound Yizhihao-NPs to Staphylococcus aureus,Pneumococcus, and β-hemolytic streptococcus had been improved significantly (P<0.05). Conclusion CS-compound Yizhihao-nanoparticles have obvious antibacterial activity to the Staphylococcus aureus,Pneumococcus, and β-hemolytic streptococcus, which lays the experimental foundation for new preparation of traditional Chinese medicine in future research.
7.Obstructive sleep apnea as an independent risk factor for stroke: possible mechanislms
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2011;19(12):911-915
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA),the most common type of sleep disordered breathing was closely associated with the occurrence of ischemic stroke. It has been demonstrated that OSA is an independent risk factor for ischemic stroke. Its pathogenic mechanism includes atherosclerosis, coagulation abnormalities and cerebral hemodynamic changes caused by long-term periodic hypoxia hypoxemia and hypercapnia. The prognosis of ischemic stroke patients with OSA is poor. Therefore,it needs to be treated early to avoid further damage to brain tissue and reduce the mortality.
10.Effects of Nitric Oxide on Growth and Metastasis of Tumor
Chinese Journal of Bases and Clinics in General Surgery 2003;0(06):-
Objective To study the effects of nitric oxide (NO) on the growth and metastasis of tumor. Methods The literatures of recent years were reviewed. Results NO had double effects on the growth and metastasis of tumor. NO promoted the growth and metastasis by regulating the expression of tumor proliferation gene and inducing tumor angiogenesis. On the other hand, NO had antitumor effects by interfering with the metabolism of tumor cells, inducing the damage of DNA, forming high toxic free radical, inducing apoptosis of tumor cells and mediating the antitumor action of endothelial cells and macrophages. Conclusion Selective blockage or induction of synthesis of NO may be a new way for tumor therapy.
