To explore the demarcation between the normal variation and the developemental anomaly of the cardiac conduction system (CCS). Using the method of sampling CCS designed by this research group, CCS of 737 cases died of non cardiac causes of death and 149 cases died of sudden cardiac deaths were sampled, serial sections were made, stained with HE method or Masson trichrome method, and observed under the light microscope.Results:(1)There were morphological variations in size, position and structure of normal human CCS; (2) In 4 cases died of sudden cardiac deaths, developemental anomalies were found in both AVN and HB. The morphological variations observed in our cases include: displacement of the bifurcation of HB into the pars membrancea of the interventricular septum,of the HB toward the left or the left lower sides of the interventricular septum or of less than 1/2 AVN into the central fibrous body , as well as of ordinary cardiomyfibers into the HB or BB. The developmental anomalies observed in our cases include: preservation of fetal type AVN in adults, displacement of whole AVN into the central fibrous body, complete division of HB into more than 3 bundles, and the displacement of the bifurcating portion of HB into the root of tricupid valves.

Objective To investigate the association between polymorphisms of thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor(TSHR)gene intron 1(rs179247, rs12101261)and Graves′ disease(GD)in the China Han population from Xuzhou city, Jiangsu Province. Methods Total 1 066 GD patients and 1 107 control subjects were recruited for genotyping by Taqman probe technique on Fluidigm EP1 platform. Meanwhile, serum concentrations of thyroid hormone and TSH receptor antibodies(TRAb)were determined. Results The rs179247_A, rs12101261_T were significantly associated with GD risk(OR=1.35, 95%CI 1.19-1.54, P=5.92×10-6; OR=1.32, 95%CI 1.16-1.50, P=2.22×10-5). Logistic regression identified that rs179247 was an independent susceptibility locus of GD. Serum TRAb concentration showed a significant difference(P=0.015)among rs179247_AA, AG, and GG genotypes. Conclusion rs179247 and rs12101261 in TSHR intron 1 are both associated with GD, and rs179247 may contribute risk to GD independently. The polymorphism is associated with TRAb, but not with serum concentration of thyroid hormones, age of onset, diffused thyroid goiter, ophthalmic signs, and relapse.

Objective: To study the effects of CTGF on the periodontal tissue remolding during orthodontic tooth movement. Methods: A mouse model of orthodontic tooth movement was established. The CTGF and NS were injected into the periodontal tissue of the first molar. HE staining, immunohistochemical staining and automatic image analysis system were used to detect the changes of periodontal tissue and the expression of VEGF. Results: The periodontal tissue remolding accompanied the over expression of VEGF during the orthodontic tooth movement. At day 7, the remolding was most active and the expression of VEGF was the highest. CTGF injection induced acceleration of periodontal remolding and up-regulating the expression of VEGF during orthodontic tooth movement, especially at day 7 and day 15 after the orthodontic force were applied. Conclusion: In the mouse model of orthodontic tooth movement, periodontal CTGF injection induces over expression of VEGF and accelerates the periodontal remodeling during orthodontic tooth movement.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of multi-functional fire needling plus auricular plaster therapy for moderate to severe acne vulgaris. Methods One hundred and fifty patients with moderate to severe acne vulgaris were randomly allocated to treatment and control groups, 75 cases each. Both groups were first given bloodletting at Ear apex and Helix 4. Then the treatment group received multi-functional fire needling plus auricular plaster therapy and the control group, auricular plaster therapy alone. The symptom and sign score was recorded in the two groups before and after treatment. The clinical therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups. Results There was a statistically significant pre-/post-treatment difference in the symptom and sign score in the two groups (P<0.01). There was a statistically significant post-treatment difference in the symptom and sign score between the two groups (P<0.05). The total efficacy rate and the cure and marked efficacy rate were 98.6% and 88.7%, respectively, in the treatment group and 93.2% and 60.8%, respectively, in the control group. There was a statistically significant difference in the cure and marked efficacy rate between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion Multi-functional fire needling plus auricular plaster therapy is an effective way to treat moderate to severe acne vulgaris.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of auricular point therapy for chronic fatigue syndrome. Methods Eighty patients with chronic fatigue syndrome were randomly allocated to treatment and control groups, 40 cases each. The treatment group received ear acupuncture plus auricular plaster therapy and the control group, conventional acupuncture. The overall symptom was scored, the Fatigue Assessment Instrument (FAI) score was recorded and immunoglobulins (IgA, IgG and IgM) were measured in the two groups before treatment and after four courses. Results There were statistically significant pre-/post-treatment differences in the overall symptom score, the FAI score and immunoglobulins in the two groups (P<0.05). There were statistically significant post-treatment differences in the FAI score, and IgA and IgG between the treatment and control groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Auricular point therapy is an effective way to treat chronic fatigue syndrome.

Objective To study the relationship between the abnormal blood fat components and the serum hypersensitivity C reaction protein concentration and the progression of diabetic retinopathy. Methods Fundus examination was carried out to inpatients in the Department of Endocrinology in the hospital from From July 2015to July 2017.These patients were divided into three groups according to results of fluorescein sodium contrast:The non retinopathy group (group A) , the non proliferative retinopathy group (group B) , the retinopathy proliferative phase group (group C) .The content of blood fat component and serum hypersensitivity C reaction protein in the experimental cases were measured, and the ratio of TC/HDL-C was calculated. The statistic software of SAS9.4was used for statistical processing. Results The concentration of the serum hypersensitive C reaction protein in patients with diabetic retinopathy was significantly increased and the ratio of TC/HDL-C increased significantly (P<0.05) .The hs-CRP concentration and TC/HDL-C ratio of the three study groups were compared with those of the healthy control group:the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) .Among them, the hs-CRP concentration and TC/HDL-C ratio of group A were compared with group B and group C respectively and the difference were statistically significant (P<0.05) .There was no significant difference in hs-CRP concentration and TC/HDL-C ratio between group B and group C (P>0.05) .Linear correlation analysis was used to analyze the concentration of serum hypersensitive C reaction protein and the ratio of TC/HDL-C.It was found that there was a positive correlation between them, and there was a positive synergistic effect. Conclusion The measurement of serum hypersensitive C reactive protein has important clinical value for the discovery, evaluation and prognosis of diabetic retinopathy. The abnormalities of the blood fat component reflected by the TC/HDL ratio are also an important factor in assessing the progression of diabetic retinopathy.
