Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2010;17(17):2346-2347
Objective To study the effect of anti-hepatitis B virus of Lamivudine combined with Saikosaponins in vivo. Methods Chongqing duck hepatitis B model was selected and given to Lamivudine combined with Saikosaponins(combined group) oral treatment 28d, then the ducks were observed 7d after drug withdrawal. The levels of serum HBV DNA, HBsAg and transaminase(ALT, AST) were detected before and after treatment, and compared with that in Lamivudine group and Saikosaponins group as control. Results In combined group, the levels of serum HBV DNA and HbsAg were significantly decreased(P < 0.05), and 7d after drug withdrawal the levels of serum HBV DNA and HBsAg showed no" anti-jump" compared with that at drug treatment 28d(P > 0.05). In Lamivudine group and Saikosaponins group the levels of those increased again 7d after drug withdrawal (P < 0. 05). In each group the levels of serum ALT and AST did not change within the same phase during drug treatment 28d and 7d after drug withdrawal(P > 0. 05). Conclusion Lamivudine combined with Saikosaponins in vivo had the effect of anti-hepatitis Bvirus, and the effect was stable and lasting.

Objective To investigate the curative effect of Candesartan on chronic systolic heart failure in Tibetan pla?teau. Methods A total of 526 patients with chronic systolic heart failure were divided into two groups randomly (Treatment group N=252;Control group N=274). Regular medicines, such as cardiac, diuretic and vasodilator drugs , are given to pa?tients in both groups according to their primary underlined diseases. Additionally, enalapril is added in control group, while candesartan is added in treatment group. Improvement of cardiac function, LVEF, LVEDD and blood pressure were compared between these two groups after 8 weeks. Results There was no significant difference in effective rate (i.e., 45.2%in treat?ment group and 44.9% in control group, respectively), efficiency rate (i.e. 54.8% in treatment group and 55.1% in control group, respectively) and inefficiency rate (i.e. 2.0%in treatment group and 2.2%in control group, respectively) between treat?ment and control groups . After treatment, LVEF in the two groups are all improved, while LVEDD and blood pressure both de?creased with statistical significance. However, the difference between the two groups is not significant. Conclusion No sta?tistical difference was found in curative effect on chronic systolic heart failure in Tibetan Plateau between two groups.

Transient receptor potential A1 (TRPAl) is a cold sensitive cation channel, which could also be activated by various pungent compounds. As a transduction channel in a number of sensory modalities, TRPAl expressing in heterogonous systems serves to provide great convenience in pharmacological analysis and functional investigation. Due to cellular toxicity, establishment of stable TRPAl cell line has always been challenging. Nevertheless, the first stable human embryonic kidney (HEK-293) cell line with un-controlled expression of TRPAl was successfully established. It was also confirmed that this stable cell line retained TRPAl expression for more than 25 passages in culture. The functional analysis of the cell response verified the stability and specificity of this novel recombinant TRPAl cell line. Altogether, the data indicated this TRPAl-HEK cell line would be a useful tool for functional analysis of TRPAl and for the development of high throughput screening (HTS) compatible assay in the effort to identify TRPAl modulators.

Primary liver cancer (PLC) includes hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (CC).In recent years, the incidence of PLC has increased significantly in the world. At present, the therapy for liver cancer tends to diversify, but surgical resection is still the first choice and the most effective treatment for HCC in general. As the biomedical, evidence-based medicine, and medical humanities are proposed, to achieve the best therapeutic effect and minimize the trauma has become the goal of modem surgery. Moreover, this could promote the transformation of surgical model from traditional experiential surgery to precision surgery.Besides, as the critical techniques of treating HCC in preoperative evaluation, operative procedures, perioperative management and the innovation of surgical instruments develop fast, precise liver resection has come into being. And now this concept is getting more and more attention from hepatobiliary surgeons. In this paper, the progress on the application of precise liver resection in the treatment of PLC is reviewed based on the preoperative evaluation and intraoperative procedures.
