OBJECTIVE:To realize reasonable regression of Chinese medicinal material price to deal with Chinese medicinal material“nominal high price”. METHODS:From the perspective of whole industry chain management,reasons for Chinese medici-nal material“nominal high price”were discussed and feasibility analysis of whole industry chain management of Chinese medicinal material was carried out by using Macro-environment analysis(including politics environment,economic environment,social envi-ronment and technology environment). RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:At present, Chinese medicinal material“nominal high price”mainly results from lack of core organization,supply deficiency,demand expansion,nonstandard storage and circulation and other factors. Relevant management departments and enterprises should set up whole industry chain management model of Chinese medicinal material from aspects of political environment,economic environment,social environment and technology environment, including to establish industry chain management organization core,to practice standardized production in the upstream industry chain,to appropriately extend industry chain for middle and downstream and to build up modernized logistics service system.

Objective To investigate the ability of myocardial fractional flow resever (FFRmyo) in predicting the incidence of major cardiac events (death, myocardial infarction, revascularization and recurrance of angina) 3 months after stent inplantation and also try to find out the cutoff point. Methods Coronary pressure was measured in 79 patients with stable angina immediately after stent implantation. The values of poststenting FFRmyo was calculated and found to be related to the presence of major adverse cardiac events during first 3 months. Results In 14 patients (18.4%), at least one adverse event occurred. Two out of 12 patients experienced recurrance of angina and underwent revascularization. By Logistic Regress analysis, FFRmyo immediately after stenting was the most significant independent variable for predicting major cardiac events. By receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) analysis, the cutoff point of FFRmyo was 0.92. Conclusion FFRmyo immediately after stenting is an independent predictor of clinical events at first 3 months.

Objective: To study the extraction technology of ursolic acid from sambucus chinensis Lindl. Methods: The method of ethanol extraction and agglutination separation was adopted for extracting ursolic acid. Results: The extraction rate was 90%, its purification was 98%, the product was recognized to be ursolic acid by physicochemical contents and spectral identification. Conclusion: This method is advanced, practical, reasonable and feasible. It can be applied in industrial production.

Objective To improve the detail of the surgery for cicatricial ectropion,and the the effect was investigated. Methods Based on 46 patients withⅡ,Ⅲdegree cicatricial ectropion admitted to our department,choose the junction of normal skin and scar tissue as the incision line according to the degree of ectropion and local situation,and to reserve and recover the orbicularis oculi muscle as possible. The released areas exceeded separately the external canthus and reached the level of eye fissure,take advantage of full-thickness skin graft to correct the parallel lines and make fixation to the eyelid ectropion fusion skin graft on external canthal ligament. Results After followed up for 6 months to 2 years,46 cases of eyelid skin grafts survived completely and eyelids were in good reduction,with none case of incomplete eyelid closure. Conclusion Choose the surgical incision and the released areas in a proper way to reserve the structural integrity of orbicu-laris muscle and make skin graft fixation to inner and external canthal skin can prevent effectively the recurrence of ectropion and improve surgical progress.

Objective To assess whether treatment with mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) is an effective adjunct therapy for refractory extensive chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) resistant to conventional therapy. Methods 12 patients with steroid-resistant extensive chronic GVHD were treated with MSCs. One patient received one dose, 10 received two doses, and the remaining three doses. The MSCs were obtained from HI,A-identical sibling donors (n = 14), haploidentical donors (n = 2), unrelated mismatched donor (n = 1) and third-party HLA-mismatched donors (n = 7). Of the 11 patients treated with multiple infusions, 5 received cells derived from two donors. The median first dose of MSCs was 1.0 (0. 4-2. 1) × 106/kg , the median second dose was 1.2(0. 8-1.9) × 106/kg , and the third dose in one patient was 1.1 × 106/kg. Meanwhile the proportion of CD3+ ,CD4+,CD8+ ,CD19+,CD4+ CD25+ ,FOXP3+,FOXP3+CD4+ and FOXP3+ CD25+ was determined with double fluorescent-labeled antibodies and flow cytometry before and 4 weeks after the MSCs infusion. Results No patients had side-effects during or immediately after the infusions of MSCs. After a treatment course of one to three doses, 3 patients had complete response(CR), 6 showed partial response(PR) and 3 did not respond; the total effective rate was 75% (9/12). Complete resolution was seen in the involvement of skin (3/12), lung (1/3), joints (1/5), liver (3/10), oralcavity (4/12) and eye (2/7). Response rate was not related to donor HLA-match. 3 CR patients discontinued all of the immunosuppressive agents without relapse 100 to 292 days after the MSC infusion and 6 PR patients taped all immunosuppressive agents after 60 to 79 days. Mean follow-up period was 1152(795-1914) days, leukemia free survival rate was 91.7% (11/12) and the overall survival rate was 75% (9/12). The ratio of CD4/CD8 and the proportion of regulatory T cells were significantly higher than that before MSCs treatment. Conclusion Third-party MSCs were as effective as HLA-identical or haploidentical cells. This finding has practical implications and suggests that third-party cells can be prepared and stored frozen to be used for steroid-resistant extensive chronic GVHD therapy. It is concluded that MSCs may prevent the lethal cGVHD after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and raise the survival rate by increasing the ratio of CD4/CD8 and proportion of regulatory T cells in vivo.

Objective To clarify the association between rs1050450 polymorphism in Glutathione peroxidase-1 (GPx-1) and the risk of cardi-ovascular diseases (CVD) by performing a meta-analysis of published studies. There is growing evidence from different study types for an association of the GPx-1 polymorphism and cardiovascular outcomes, but observational studies have so far shown inconsistent results. Me-thods Relevant publications were searched through PubMed, Embase database databases and the Cochrane Library. We used odds ratios (ORs) with 95%confidence intervals (CIs) to assess the strength of association under the best genetic model. Both Q statistic and the I2 were used to check heterogeneity. Meta-regression analysis was performed to explore heterogeneity source. Sensitivity analysis, cumulative me-ta-analysis analysis and publication bias were used to test the reliability of the results. Results Data were available from two cohort studies and 8 case-control studies involving 1,430 cases and 3,767 controls. The pooled ORs for overall CVD risk was 1.36 with 95%CI:1.08-1.70 under a co-dominant model, and that for East Asian subgroup was 1.84 (95%CI:1.39-2.43). Substantial heterogeneity for ORs were de-tected among all the included studies, mainly caused by ethnic differences between East Asian and non-East Asian populations. Although Egger’s regression test suggested no statistical significant publication bias, Begg’s funnel plot exhibited obvious asymmetry. The statistical significance disappeared after adjusting for potential publication bias in the overall studies. However, no substantial publication bias was found in the East Asian subgroup. Conclusions GPx-1 gene Pro198Leu and Pro197Leu polymorphisms considerably increased the risk of CVD in the East Asian population. Large-scale investigations are needed to confirm the results in different ethnicities.

OBJECTIVE: Radial artery hemostasis devices of TR Band and RDP made in Japan has used in China and abroad. However,comparisons of application effects are rarely reported. The aim of this paper is to investigate the safety and effectiveness of radial artery hemostasis devices of TR Band and RDP after transradial intervention procedures. METHODS: A total of 300 cases with transradial route coronary arteriongraphy and percutaneous coronary intervention, were randomly divided into 3 groups, with 100 cases in each group. TR Band, RDP, and "8" character Bandaging were used respectively. The hemostasis effectiveness, hemostasis time, patients' degree of comfort, disorder of venous return,saturation of blood oxygen of thrums of compressed hands, as well as ischemia and necrosis status in local skin of access site were compared.RESULTS: Two kinds of devices were able to hemostasis effectively. The saturation of blood oxygen of cases in each group was within normal limits, which had no significantly difference (P> 0.05). Patients' degree of comfort was significantly different among three groups (P< 0.05), but there was no insignificantly different between TR Band and RDP groups (P> 0.05).Swelling in arms and ischemia and necrosis status of local skin at access site were notably different among three groups (P <0.05), however, ischemia and necrosis status of local skin at access site had no difference between TR Band and RDP groups (P>0.05).CONCLUSION: Application of radial artery hemostasis devices of TR Band and RDP-700(800) after transradial intervention procedures is safe and effective.

Objective To investigate the mouse liver blood vessel images using phase contrast X-ray imaging with synchrotron radiation. Methods 6 female C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into two groups, 3 mice in each group. In one group, livers excised after hgated arteries, veins and common bile duct. In another group, iodine infused via the portal vein and drained from inferior vena cave until all the blood in the portal veins and hepatic veins was displaced. After infusion, arteries, veins and common bile duct were ligated and livers were excised. Results Blood vessel images were clearly produced by diffraction enhanced imaging. This method can discriminate vessels down to about 40 μm in diameter without contrast agent. Using a contrasting agent more details could be produced. In one liver lobe, the entire branch of the portal vein could be clearly produced by one by one phase contrast image from the main axial blood vessels of liver lobe to the nine generation of branching. Conclusions Phase contrast imaging has the advantage of good contrast and high spatial resolution. AIM:To direct embryonic stem cells(ESCs)into hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs)in vitro by simulating the hematogenic microenvironment in human early embryonic aorta-gonad-mesonephero(AGM)region.METHODS:Murine E14 embronic stem cell line was used for two-step differentiation.In the first step of primary differentiation,E14 ESCs were seeded into semisolid methylcellulose-based medium containing bone morphogenesis protein 4(BMP4)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)for embryoid body(EB)formation.On days 3,6,9,12 and 15,single EB cells were analyzed for Flk-1+ cells amount through flow cytometry.In the second step,single cell from EB containing most Flk-1+ cells was further co-cultured with human AGM stromal cells in non-contact system.On co-culture days of 3,6,9 and 12 days,cells were collected for cell count,flow cytometry for Sca-1+c-kit+ cells analysis,and colony forming cell assay.RESULTS:During the EB formation,BMP4+VEGF promoted Flk-1+ cell genesis on day 9 at peak pencentage value of 27.53%?2.84%,which was statistically higher than that in control group as 8.77?1.10(P
