This paper aims to discuss the distribution status of insulin resistance in TCM syndromes of Type 2 diabetes mellitus and to provide objective indicators for TCM syndrome differentiation of Type 2 diabetes mellitus.The research methods of the paper involve:Select 180 cases of Type 2 diabetes mellitus as subjects to be investigated and divide them into three groups of yin-deficiency dryness-heat, dampness-heat distressing spleen and yang-deficiency dampness-stasis.Another 60 healthy cases are selected as comparison group. Indicators such as height,body mass,asting plasma glucose (FPG),fasting insulin (FINS), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1C), three acids glyceride(TG),cholesterol (TC) etc,are tested and body mass index (BMI) ,insulin sensitivity index (ISI) are calculated.The comparisons are made between such objective indices and TCM syndromes to discuss the features and distribution rules of TCM syndromes.The results show that the dampness-heat distressing spleen type is the most common; the yin-deficiency dryness-heat type has the shortest course of diseases.The ISI in each group is lower than that of the healthy comparison group (P

Objectives To investigate the clinical characteristics of hypoglycemic brain damage, and to assess the ifndings of amplitude-integrated electroencephalography (aEEG) and its predictive value in hypoglycemic brain damage. Methods Twenty-four neonates diagnosed with hypoglycaemia were selected. 12-hour continuous aEEG recordings were performed on the day when hypoglycaemia was diagnosed and second aEEG tracings was performed on the same day or the day after. The variability of aEEG background, appearance of sleep-wake cycling, bandwidth span and amplitude of lower border were analysed and compared with the results of brain MRI. Results Different degrees of epileptic seizures were found in neonates with severe hypoglycemic brain damage and were persisted after the blood sugar was corrected. aEEG in hypoglycemic brain damage was characterized by calyptriform or jagged epileptiform activity, disappearance of the sleep-wake cycle, but little impact on amplitude of lower border and bandwidth span. The recovery of sleep-wake cycle was a sign of brain function recovery. The aEEG and MRI had a good consistency in monitoring the hypoglycemic brain damage. Conclusions aEEG have signiifcant changes in hypoglycemic brain damage and can be used to monitor dynamically hypo-glycemic brain damage.

Objective To explore the assessment methods of persistent postural-perceptual dizziness(PPPD).Methods A total of 39 patients with PPPD were enrolled as PPPD group,compare with 36 cases with unilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss(SSHL) with vertigo.The clinic data,DHI/NEO-FFI/SSRC,auditory and vestibular function(bithermal caloric test,vestibular evoked myogenic potential)tests were collected for all the subjects and compared between groups.Results There were statistical differences between two groups in DHI/NEO-FFI/ SSRC (P＜0.05).13 cases of PPPD with mild or moderate sensorineural hearing loss,36 cases of SSHL with severe or extremely severe sensorineural hearing loss;double temperature test and VEMP normal derivation rates of PPPD were significantly higher than SSHL (P＜0.05).Conclusion Neurotic and introverted personality traits are found to be risk factors for PPPD.Patients with PPPD are prone to anxiety.PPPD has a great impact on the social activities and life quality of patients.
