Objective To study the application value of multislice spiral CT angiography (MSCTA)in diag-nosis of intracranial aneurysms.Methods MSCTA was used to diagnose intracranial aneurysms in 40 patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage.Subtraction angiography digital (DSA)was used as the gold standard to evaluate the sensi-tivity,specificity and accuracy of MSCTA for diagnosis of intracranial aneurysms.Results In 40 patients,34 aneu-rysms were detected in 32 patients and they were all confirmed by incarceration of aneurysm.The aneurysms were de-tected in 33 cases by MSCTA,and the aneurysms were 34.Most of them were single (31 cases),1 case was multiple and 1 case was false positive.DSA was detected in 32 patients with 34 aneurysms,but single in 30 cases and multiple in 2 cases.DSA as the gold standard,the sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of MSCTA in diagnosis of intracranial aneurysms were 100%,87.50% and 97.50% respectively.MSCTA detected aneurysm neck width 1.85 -4.33mm, average aneurysm neck width was (3.65 ±1.85)mm.DSA detected aneurysm neck width 1.52 -4.48mm,average aneurysm neck width was (3.41 ±1.96)mm.The average tumor neck width detected by the two methods had no sta-tistically significant difference (t =0.78,P >0.05).But from the minimum of the detection,DSA still had certain ad-vantages.Conclusion The sensitivity of MSCTA for intracranial aneurysms was high.It can be used as a method for surgical treatment of intracranial aneurysms,but it still can not completely replace the DSA.

Objective To study the correlation between the body constitution classifications of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)and the reproductive system diseases in young man. Methods All 749 objects took physical examination about the reproductive system diseases, filled in the questionnaire of male body constitution, and differentiated TCM classifications of body constitution. Results The incidence rate of redundant prepuce of depressed vital energy constitution and stagnant blood constitution was obviously higher than balance constitution (P＜0.01) , the incidence rate of prostatitis of dampness-heat constitution and depressed vital energy constitution was obviously higher than balance constitution (P＜0.01), the incidence rate of varicocele of Qi asthonia constitution and stagnant blood constitution was obviously higher than balance constitution(P＜0.01), the incidence rate of phimosis of Yang deficiency constitution was obviously higher than balance constitution (P＜0.01) , the incidence rote of prospermia of Qi asthenia constitution, Yin deficiency constitution and special constitution was obviously higher than balance constitution (P＜0.01) , the incidence rate of erectile dysfunction of Yin deficiency constitution and special constitution was obviously higher than balance constitution (P＜0.01) , the incidence rate of sterility of Yang deficiency consZtitution, Yin deficiency constitution and stagnant blood constitution was obviously higher than balance constitution (P＜0.01) .Conclusion There were some correlations between the TCM classifications of body constitution and the reproductive system diseases in young man.

Objective To explore the effects of pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (PDTC) on the acute lung injury and the activation of Nrf2 pathway after Paraquat (PQ) induced lung injury.Methods Fortyeight adult male SD rats with lung injury induced by PQ were randomly (random number) divided into control group and PDTC group.Three animals were sacrificed at every 1-week interval,7d,14d and 21 days after PQ intoxication,and the lungs of rats were removed for acute lung injury score after HE staining,and for lung fibrosis assessment after Masson staining,and the levels of reduced glutathione (GSH) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in the lung tissue homogenate were assayed and the phosphorylation of Nrf2 (nuclear-E2-related factor 2) was detected by Weston blot.The mean values of detected variables between two groups were compared by t test,and survival curve was tested by Wilcoxon (Gehan) test.Results The intoxication symptoms of rats were obvious,and 4 rats in control group and 9 rats in PDTC group survived until 21days.The survival time of animals in PDTC group was longer than that in control group (Wilcoxon (Gehan) =10.17023,P =0.001).The levels of MDA in control group were higher than those in PDTC group,while the levels of GSH in control group were lower than those in PDTC group.The levels of phosphorylation of Nrf2 in PDTC group were higher than those in control group at 1-week intervals,1-week:(0.32±0.04) vs.(0.23±0.05),P=0.003; 2-week:(0.62±0.06) vs.(0.33±0.03),P＜0.001; 3-week:(0.61 ±0.04) vs.(0.33±0.05),P＜0.001.The acute lung injury (ALI) scores in PDTC group were lower than those in control group,1-week:(5 ± 0.95) vs.(8 ± 1.23),P =0.002 ; 2-week:(9±1.18) vs.(11±1.02),P=0.019; 3-week:(11±1.33) vs.(12±1.42),P=0.002.The percentages of lung fibrosis at 1-week intervals after PQ intoxication were (40.87 ± 7.25) ％,(43.38 ±5.71)％ and (45.91 ± 3.97)％ in control group,and they were higher than those in PDTC group (32.92±2.34)％,(33.45 ±3.04)％ and (35.27 ±3.81)％ in PDTC group,P=0.017,0.001 and 0.001 respectively.Conclusions Attenuation of acute lung injury and lung fibrosis,and prolongation of survival time of SD rats by PDTC were associated with activation of Nrf2 pathway.

Objective To explore the change in anatomical volume during intensity?modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) for different stages of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and its influence on dose distribution, and to assess the necessity to modify the IMRT plan. Methods Twenty?four patients with newly diagnosed NPC who received IMRT and chemotherapy were enrolled in the study, and were divided into early?intermediate group ( 12 cases ) and locally advanced group ( 12 cases ) according to the 2008 staging system for NPC. Each patient had a repeated CT scan at week 5 of radiotherapy, and target volume and organs at risk ( OAR) were contoured. The dose distribution of the original plan shown on CT was calculated. Changes in target volume, OAR anatomical volume, and dose distribution were analyzed, and paired t?test and Spearman correlation analysis were performed. Results In the early?intermediate group, gross target volume of neck positive lymph nodes (GTVnd) was reduced during radiotherapy (P=0. 059), and gross target volume of nasopharynx ( GTVnx ) , high?risk clinical target volume ( CTV1 ) , and parotid volume were reduced significantly during radiotherapy ( P= 0. 001, 0. 012, 0. 002, and 0. 000, respectively) . In locally advanced group, GTVnx , GTVnd , CTV1 , and parotid volume were significantly reduced during IMRT (P=0. 000, 0. 000, 0. 003, 0. 003, and 0. 000, respectively). Compared with the values before radiotherapy, the parotid dose increased significantly in the two groups during IMRT ( P=0. 044, 0. 026, 0. 033, and 0. 026, respectively;P=0. 024, 0. 016, 0. 030, and 0. 015, respectively) , and the increase in GTVnd dose was observed in the locally advanced group ( P= 0. 029 and 0. 049 ) . Conclusions It is recommended to perform another CT scan for patients with locally advanced NPC at week 5 of radiotherapy and formulate a new IMRT plan to maintain target volume dose and guarantee a safe parotid dose.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of Ad-hTGF-β1 transfected bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell(BMSCs) into chondrocytes differentiation and the change of TAZ mRNA. Methods Rats BMSCs were obtained and cultured by whole bone marrow method, and then the third-generation cells were seeded into cell culture plate, and divided into three groups:Ad-hTGF-β1 transfected group,Ad-EGFP transfected group and the control group. The control group was added in common medium without any treatment while the other two groups were respectively added in serum-free medium containing Ad-hTGF-β1 or that containing Ad-EGFP. Seven days later, real-time fluorescent quantitation PCR and Western blot were employed for detecting the expression of TGF-β1 ,while immunohistochemical and Western blot for the expression of collagen Ⅱ , and real-time fluorescent quantitation PCR for the expression of TAZ mRNA. Results Seven days after the transfection, real-time fluorescent quantitation PCR revealed that the average relative expression of TGF-β1 was:Ad-hTGF-β1 group 0.863, Ad-EGFP group 0.183, and the control group 0.180; The average relative expression of TAZ was:Ad-hTGF-β1 group 0.810, Ad-EGFP group 0.416, and the control group 0.366.The expression difference of TGF-β1 and TAZ were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). Western blot and immunohistochemical proved strong collagen Ⅱ expression in Ad-hTGF-β1 group while it was detected a little in the other two groups. Conclusion BMSCs could be successfully and stably induced into chondrocytes differentiation by Ad-hTGF-β1. Meanwhile, the mRNA of TAZ is up regulate during the differentiation,so it is suppose that TGF-β1 improve BMSCs into chondrocytes differentiation by TAZ.

Objective:To explore the effect of Gubi Decoction on serum related inflammatory factors and PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway in osteoarthritis model rats. Methods:Seventy SPF rats were randomly divided into the blank group, sham operation group, Glucosamine sulfate group, and the low, medium and high dose Gubi Decoction groups. Except the blank group and sham operation group, knee osteoarthritis animal models were prepared by the modified Hulth method in each group. On the 28th day after successful model preparation, the high, medium and low dose Gubi Decoction groups were given Gubi Decoction 24, 12 and 6 g/kg by gavage respectively; glucosamine sulfate group was given glucosamine sulfate tablet suspension 3 g/L by gavage, once a day for 28 days. The levels of TNF-α and IL-1β in serum were detected by ELISA. The gene expressions of PI3K, Akt and mTOR in cartilage tissue were detected by Real-PCR. The protein expressions of PI3K, Akt, p-PI3K, p-Akt and mTOR were detected by Western blot. Results:Compared with the model group, the knee joint diameter[(11.17 ± 1.81) mm, (11.60 ± 1.38) mm, (10.80 ± 1.17) mm vs. (12.57 ± 0.98) mm] of the rats in the glucosamine sulfate group and the medium and high dose Gubi Decoction groups significantly decreased ( P<0.05). The content of TNF-α [(111.43 ± 21.98) ng/L, (53.42 ± 13.25) ng/L vs. (157.89 ± 23.60) ng/L], IL-1β [(67.50 ± 18.44) ng/L, (48.22 ± 9.63) ng/L vs. (96.11 ± 14.85) ng/L] in the medium and high dose Gubi Decoction groups significantly decreased ( P<0.05), and the expression of PI3K (1.87 ± 0.17, 1.24 ± 0.49 vs. 2.19 ± 0.47), Akt (1.50 ± 0.51, 1.10 ± 0.32 vs. 2.68 ± 0.63), and mTOR (1.32 ± 0.54, 1.10 ± 0.33 vs. 2.94 ± 0.55) mRNA in the medium and high dose Gubi Decoction groups significantly decreased ( P<0.05). The expression of PI3K, Akt, p-PI3K, p-Akt in the low, medium and high dose Gubi Decoction groups significantly decreased ( P<0.05), and the expression of mTOR in the medium dose Gubi Decoction group significantly decreased ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Gubi Decoction can significantly reduce the level of inflammatory factors in the serum of osteoarthritis model rats, and its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects may be related to PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway.

AIM: To study the effect of signal transducer and activator of transcription 6 (STAT6) on airway inflammation of rats with asthma. METHODS: Male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into control group and asthma group. The lung tissue was sampled from the left lung. Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) was collected from the right lung. The concentrations of IL-4 in serum and BALF were measured by sandwich ELISA. STAT6 protein and STAT6 mRNA were observed in the epithelial cells of bronchus by the technique of immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization. Objective To study the clinical efficacy and prognosis of implantation of 125I seeds under CT direction com-bined with percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP)in the treatment of vertebral metastatic tumors. Methods All 48 patients with vertebral metastatic tumors who were treated in our hospital from January 2012 to December 2013 were selected. They were assigned to observation group and control group according to random number table,with 24 patients in each group. Patients in the control group were given conventional surgical incision, and patients in the observation group were given the treatment of 125I seeds under CT direction combined with PVP. General data such as age, gender, pri-mary type, and pain degree in both groups were collected, efficacy and complications after the treatment in both groups were statistically collected, and statistical analysis was carried out for the collected data. Results Effective rate of treatment was 79.2% in the observation group, and effective rate of treatment was 50.0% in the control group. The difference of both groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). Incidence of postoperative complications was 16.7%in the observation group, significantly lower than 79.1% in the control group. The difference of both groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). A total of 34 centrums in 24 patients in the observation group all successfully completed the treatment of 125I seeds combined with PVP,and the successful rate of surgery was 100%. 1,2 and 3 seed needles were used to be implanted into 12,14 and 8 centrums respectively. Sleeping quality of patients in the observation group was generally better than that in the control group, and their depression degree was also lower. The comparison between both groups was significant (P<0.01); NIHSS scores of 24 hours and 14 days after the treatment were measured,and the scores between both groups were compared. Results showed that the scores in the observation group were lower(P<0.05). Conclusion Implantation of 125I seeds under CT direction combined with percutaneous vertebroplasty in the treatment of vertebral metastatic tumors has a favorable efficacy, and is able to effectively alleviate patients' pain; the treatment has a low incidence of complications and is able to control the development of tumors, which is worthy of clinical promotion.

In the past decade, rapid breakthroughs have been made in the systemic treat-ment of advanced unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. Single systemic therapy has little effect on controlling tumor local recurrence and distant metastasis, and the combination modality therapy is the treatment for the majority of patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. The change of tumor microenvironment is the research hotspot of antitumor therapy at present. Targeted therapy, immunotherapy and radiotherapy can lead to a change in the tumor microenvironment of primary hepatic carcinoma. The synergistic effect of combined therapy is particularly important. The authors report the clinical efficacy of programmed death ligand-1 inhibitor plus vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitor in the first-line treatment of a patient with advanced unresectable hepatocellular carci-noma. The results show that partial response being achieved according to the modified response evaluation criteria in solid tumors, and the survival time is more than 20 months with no obvious adverse reactions and high quality of life.
