OBJECTIVE:To screen the effective antioxidant in tretinion ointment METHODS:The six tretinion ointments were prepared with different antioxidants and the same base Based on the accelerated test design,the tretinion concentration was determined by HPLC RESULTS:The ointment with the antioxidant D exhibited the least oxidation rate CONCLUSION:Data from accelerated test demonstrated that the compound antioxidant D was the best one in this formula

OBJECTIVE: To study the dissolution amounts of aciclovir (ACV) from differently based preparations and provide the evidence for the development of new preparation of ACV. METHOD: The dissolution tester was applied for the quantitative determination of ACV released from 3 based formulations and 5 concentrations samples. The release amount per unit area (M) and the accumulative release percentage (Q) were compared respectively. RESULTS: The value for M was raised with the increase of the concentration of aciclovir in preparations, and for Q was reduced. The release rates of the aciclovir gel were at least two times faster than the creams and the ointment. CONCLUSION: The drug dissolution from ACV gel was better than the creams and the ointment. 10 gkg-1 ACV in prearation was the suitable concentration.

Objective To detect the micro satellite instability (MSI) from the precancerous and cancerous lesions (GC) and its effect on carcinogenesis.Methods Silver staining single strand conformation polymorphism polymerize chain reaction (PCR SSCP) was used to screen MSI markers at 5 loci in formalin fixed,paraffin embedded tissues of GC (n=30), dysplasia (n=30), intestinal metaplasia (IM) ( n =40) and corresponding normal gastric tissues.Results The abnormal shifting of the single strand DNA was identified in 7(23 3%)out of GC, in 9 (30%) out of dysplasia and in 8(20%) out of IM samples respectively. GC with MSI was associated with distal location of the tumors ( P =0 044). MSI was not detected in low grade IM tissues.Conclusion MSI may be of an early event during gastric carcinogenesis. It contributes probably to the acquisition of a transformed cell phenotype and to the development of gastric cancer.

Objective: To obtain the optimum prescription of the rhubarb lactobacillin dispersible tablets.Methods: The kind and amount of the excipient were investigated by using the disintegrating time to establish the optimum prescription and preparation process.Results: The tablets were prepared by compressing moist granulation with the PVPP and CMS-Na as the disintegrant,MCC as diluent,sodium alginate as sweller,magnesium stearate as lubricant and 80% alcohol as adhesive agent.The preparation complied with the requirement of Pharmacopeia of the People's Republic of China(2005edition).Conclusion: This prescription of the tablet is reasonable and the preparation process is feasible.

AIM: To evaluate the clinical outcomes of management in younger patients with primary chronic angle-closure glaucoma (PCACG).METHODS: Thirty-eight patients (50 eyes) aged 40 or younger with confirmed diagnosis of PCACG in advanced or late stage who received surgical treatment in Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center from January 2000 to December 2005were retrospectively investigated. All patients underwent trabeculectomy. The mean follow-up was 23.6±7.5 months.Full ophthalmic examinations were performed. The clinical outcomes including clinical presentations, surgical results and complications were evaluated.RESULTS: The mean age of patients was 33.5±6.1 years old. There was a female preponderance (60.5%). The mean axial length was 22.4±3.5mm with 18.0% short axis of eyeball and 14% nanophthalmos. There was 60.0% fiat anterior chamber depth (＜1.9mm). Ultrasonic Biomicroscopy identified that plateau iris was the most common underlying etiology (80.6%). There was a statistically significant difference in intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction postoperativelyvs preoperatively (P＜0.001). Four eyes failed to control IOP and received second filtration surgery. The main postoperative complications included shallow anterior chamber (20.0%) and malignant glaucoma (12.0%).CONCLUSION: The younger PCACG patients in advanced or late stage can be effectively managed by trabeculectomy.They have more frequency of postoperative sustained shallow anterior chamber and malignant glaucoma. Careful ophthalmic examinations, delicate surgical procedures and well-managed technique of complications were suggested on younger PCACG patients.

Objective To open out new method,we probe into immune function of??ST and NKT cells in NSCLC.Methods The peripheral blood cells were stained with antibodies labeled with fluorescence in NSCLC,??T,NKT and their set group cells were counted with flow cytometry.Results The absolute counts of??T,CD~+_(56)??T,CD~-_(56)??T,NKT and??T~+ NKT cells in NSCLC was significantly lower than that of normal controls.The relative counts of NKT,??T~+ NKT,??T~-NKT and CD~+_56??T cells in NSCLC was not sig- nificantly lower than that of normal control.The absolute counts of??T cells in NSCLC positively correlated to the number of NKT cells,(r=0.426,P=0.009).Conclusion The absolute counts of??T,NKT and their set ground cells in NSCLC was significantly lower than that of normal controls.In NSCLC the relation of the??T and NKT had positive correlation.

Purpose To describe clinicopathological features, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of Castleman′s disease. Methods Retrospective analyses of the clinical data, clinicopathology and immunohistochemistry were conducted in ten cases of Castleman dis-ease and reviewed of literature. Results There were 8 cases of unicenrtic Castleman′s disease and 2 cases of multicentric Castleman′s disease. Pathologically, there were 6 cases of hayline vascular types, one case of plasmatcyic type and 3 cases of mixed type in all Castleman′s disease. Immunohistochemically, all cases were negative for BCL-6 and CD10, and Ki-67 expression was less than or e-qual to 30%. There were 4 cases with complete follow-up data, including one case of intermediate type, 3 cases of hyaline vascular type which were healed by surgical resection without recurrence. Conclusions Castleman′s disease is a rare and lymphoproliferative disorders with unknown cause, it is not easy to diagnose before the operation. Whether immunohistochemical features reflect abnormal immune function or play unknown role in the pathogenesis of Castleman′s disease is also demanded further study.

The paper aimed to study the residue decline dynamic and standards for safety utilization of carbendazim in roots, stems, leaves of Anoectochilus roxburghii and in growth media. Samples extracted with methanol were purified by liquid-liquid extraction and analysed by HPLC. The results showed that average rate of recovery was 82.9% - 95.7% and RSD were 2.0% - 6.3% with add of carbendazim in respectively diverse concentration, which meets inspection requirement of pesticide residue. Two kinds of dosages of carbendazim were treated, varying from recommended dosage (1.0 kg x hm(-2)) to 1.5 times recommended dosage (1.5 kg x hm(-2)). Results of two years test showed that the half-life period of carbendazim were 7.01 - 8.51 d in the growth media of A. roxburghii, 3.58 - 4.27 d in stems and 3.50 - 3.91 d in leaves, 4.93 - 5.71 d in roots. Providing max recommended residue of carbendazim in the cultivation of A. roxburghii is 0.5 mg x kg(-1), sprayed 4 times a year with the dosage of 1.0 kg x hm(-2), 28 days is proposed for the safety interval of the last pesticide application's and harvest's date.

Objective To make the validation of intravascular ultrasound elastography (IVUSE) for detecting the plaque.Methods A plain strain model of vascular plaque was established and then the RF signals of IVUS were produced.The radial displacement distribution and strain distribution were calculated through 1D numerical optimization based on the RF signals.Then the elastic moduli distribution was reconstructed by finite element method (FEM) and iteration method.Results The three elastic parameters,displacement/strain/moduli,all could detect the plaque.Elastic moduli presented the information of the shape and size of the plaque,meanwhile,the displacement and strain distributions could not give the information clearly.Conclusion Elastic modulus is proved to be superior to the other two parameters in detecting the plaque,whereas it is subject to the accuracy of the strain's estimation.
