BACKGROUND: Research about magnetic drug microsphere has developed rapidly at home or abroad; additionally, previous studies have been focused on glucan, chitosan, and polyester as coating materials; however, gel material has been less reported,in particular gel-coating berberine microsphere has been not reported yet.OBJECTIVE: To prepare berberine magnetic gelatin drug microsphere, and to evaluate drug releasing, loading, and cross-linking using dynamic dialysis and light electron microscope.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: Preparation and property of microsphere were performed in Guizhou Yikang Pharmacy Co., Ltd.And Guizhou University from February 2004 to May 2006.MATERIALS: Gel, berberine, glutaraldehyde, liquid paraffin, and Fe_3O_4 were used in this study.METHODS: Magnetic microspheres of berberine drug with gelatin and Fe_3O_4 were prepared by a reverse phase suspension cold-condensation method according to biocompatibility of gel, solidification of glutaraldehyde, and disperse medium of liquid paraffin.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Structure, morphology, drug-loading rate, entrapment efficiency, and in vitro releasing of drug microsphere.RESULTS: The diameter of the microsphere was under 20 urn. Scanning electron microscope demonstrated that Fe_3O_4 and berberine were compounded by gel into a round shape, and the mixture was expressed on micrometer. Ultraviolet absorption and infrared analysis suggested that berberine magnetic gelatin drug microsphere still had structure and property of raw drug. The drug-loading rate of berberine microsphere was 7.2%, the content of Fe_3O_4 was 20.8%, and the entrapment efficiency was 62.6%.the sustained-releasing ability of microsphere was well, and the releasing content counted for 83.5% of total drug within 7 hours.CONCLUSION: The berberine magnetic gelatin drug microsphere which was prepared by reverse phase suspension cold-condensation method characterizes by sample preparation, small diameter, regular morphology, and great sustained-releasing ability.

Integrin is a main factor that mediates adhesive attraction between the cell and the extracellular matrix,and it participates in the formation of new vessel lumens and the construction of the rete vasculosum by regulating endothelial cell adhesion and migration.The extracellular matrix is the ligand of integrin.Collagen and laminin's deposition form new vessel lumens.The vascular endothelial growth factor promotes the proliferation of endothelial cells,accelerates angiogenesis and increases the permeability of blood vessels.This review focuses on the roles and correlation of integrin and VEGF in angiogenesis.

Objective:To investigate the expression of collagen typeⅠ(ColⅠ),collagen typeⅣ(ColⅣ)and fibronectin(Fn)in laryngeal squamous cell carcinomas(LSCC)and their pathobiological relationship with invasion and metastasis of tumor.Method:The expression of ColⅠ,Col Ⅳ and Fn was detected by immunohistochemistry method in normal tissue of latero-carcinoma and tissue of carcinoma in 60 specimens of LSCC.Integral optical density(iOD)was detected by image analysis of computer and was analyzed by SPSS13.O.Result:The expression of ColⅠ was obvious and integrity.The expression of Col Ⅳ and Fn of basal membrane was like intact line-shape appearance and Fn of interstitial substance appeared like a complete network in the normal tissue f latero-carcinoma.Their expression decreased gradually and their integrity was broken and disappeared gradually from well to poorly differentiated LSCC.Their expressions also fell off with the tumor size,clinical stage and cervical lymphatic etastasis gradually and consistently in LSCC.Their variances were statistical significance separately(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).Conclusion:The expression of ColⅠ,ColⅣand Fn was closely related to tumor invasion,the regional lymph node metastasis and other some pathobiological features in LSCC.A detection of ColⅠ,ColⅣ and Fn as of definite significance on a better comprehension of the possibility of metastasis,choice of surgery and prognosis.

Objective To explore the effect of inadequate reduction of the medial wall on the postoperative varus deformity following calcaneal fracture surgery and other influencing factors of varus deformity.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted of the 60 patients with calcaneal fracture involving the medial wall (60 feet) who had been treated from October 2005 to September 2015.They were 51 men and 9 women,18 to 55 years of age (average,38.4 years).According to the Sanders classification,24 patients belonged to type Ⅱ,30 to type Ⅲ,and 6 to type Ⅳ.We measured the integrity of the pre-and post-operative medial walls,the height and width of the pre-and post-operative calcanei,the pre-and post-operative B(o)hler angles and the pre-and post-operative calcaneal varus angles for statistical analysis.Results The effect of postoperative height reduction of the medial wall on the postoperative correction of varus angle was significantly larger than that of the lateral wall (P ＜ 0.05).The higher the integrity of the postoperative medial wall,the larger the correction of the postoperative varus angle.The normal rate of postoperative calcaneal varus angle significantly decreased with the increased Sanders classification severity (P =0.001).The postoperative reduction of the height and width of the calcaneus and the integrity of the preand post-operative medial walls were significantly positively correlated to the normal rate of postoperative calcaneal varus angle (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The medial wall has a large influence on the postoperative calcaneal varus angle.The higher integrity of the preoperative medial wall,and the more adequate reduction and fixation of the postoperative medial wall as well,the higher rate of postoperative normal calcaneal varus angle.The postoperative reduction of the calcaneal height also affects the varus angle.When the heights of the medial and lateral walls are recovered,the normal rate of varus angle is the highest;when reduction of the medial wall is inadequate but reduction of the lateral wall is fine,the normal rate of varus angle is the lowest.

Ischemic stroke is a critical society-medicine-economy problem,and effective therapy is rather insufficient.Nowadays,method of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis was popularly adopted,but only enjoyed limited curative effect in segmental stage of illness in patients.In this article,we analyzed and discussed mainly concept and viewpoint on blood stasis syndrome in Traditional Chinese Medicine,moreover,and provided advanced data for experimental and clinical research in the future.

Objective To compare the treatment responses of the inhaled salmeterol and fluticasone (50/500 μg) for three months in the different clinical phenotypes of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) which were chronic bronchitis phenotype and emphysema phenotype and to explore the difference of the treatment responses.Methods To enroll and follow up the stable COPD patients from outpatient department who received the treatment of inhaled salmeterol and fluticasone (50/500 μg).Patients with low attenuation area (LAA,the density on CT scan ＜-950 HU) ≥15％ of the while lung area％ (LAA％) were defined as emphysema group,while patients with LAA％ ＜ 15％ were defined as chronic bronchitis group.All the subjects received lung function test before and after three-month treatment.Results Totally,84 patients (49 male and 35 female patients) with stable COPD were enrolled with an average age (61.04 ±9.23) years old,30 patients in emphysema group and 54 patients in chronic bronchitis group.Before treatment,forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) ％ predicted value and residual volume (RV) ％ predicted value in emphysema group were lower than those of chronic bronchitis group (P =0.04 and P =0.01),while inspiratory capacity (IC)％ predicted value was higher than that of chronic bronchitis group (P =0.02).After three-month salmeterol and fluticasone inhalation treatment,FEV1 and RV were improved in both groups,but FEV1 and RV in chronic bronchitis group were improved more significantly than those of emphysema group (P =0.02 and P =0.03).Conclusions The treatment responses of different clinical phenotypes of COPD to inhalation of combination of salmeterol and fluticasone were different,chronic bronchitis phenotype had better treatment response compared to emphysema phenotype.

Objective: To observe the effects of electroacupuncture combining with behavior therapy on the adaptive behavior ability in children with autism. Methods: Sixty children with autism were divided into a treatment group and a control group with 30 cases in each group. Children in the treatment group were treated with electroacupuncture and behavior therapy, and children in the control group with behavior therapy. The adaptive behavior quotient (ABQ) and the effects were evaluated with adaptive behavior scale before and after treatments. Results: After treatments, ABQ in the treatment group was higher than before treatments (P<0.05), and the difference (6.15±5.412) was higher than that in the control group (3.20±4.348) with a significant difference (P<0.05). The adaptive behavior ability in the treatment group was better than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Electroacupuncture combining with behavior therapy can significantly improve the adaptive behavior ability in children with autism.
