OBJECTIVETo study clinical results of reduction and fixation under arthroscopy for the treatment of osteochondrotical lesion in the knee.

METHODSFrom December 2012 to December 2013, 4 patients with the knee joint osteochondritis lesion and free bone fragments were treated with arthroscopy to detect the stripped cartilage, and then the cartilages were reduced with small incision and fixed by cartilage nail. There were 3 males and 1 female, with age of 15, 15, 20 and 27 years old. The durations of the disease were 1 d, 5 d, 1 month and 1 year. All the patients had swelling and effusion in the knee joint, and the floating patellar test was positive. CT examination showed bone defects and loose bodies. The Lysholm, VAS, and Tegner scale were used to evaluate the knee joint functions before and after operation.

RESULTSAll the patients underwent successful surgery. Postoperative CT showed good location of the cartilage without loss of reduced bone and cartilage. All the patients were followed up, and the duration ranged from 10 to 13 months, with a mean of 12 months. In one patient, arthroscopy examination was conducted for a second time to examine the connection of the fracture part to the surrounding cartilage, and it showed that the internal fixator was not absorbed. The Lysholm, VAS and Tegner scale of all patients were better than those before operation.

CONCLUSIONTreatment of osteochondritis lesion with the fixation of absorbable cartilage nails may reconstruct the integrity of articular surface and recover the stability of joints, and it is an effective treatment method.

Objective To learn the current anesthesiologists deployment at the hospital,and to figure out how to measure anesthesiologists deployment.Methods Existing data and expert consultation were used to obtain various indicators,and the current anesthesiologists deployment was analyzed,calculating with the formula the needed number of anesthesiologists.Results Despite the rising demand and resource utilization,anesthesiologists were found in obvious shortage at the hospital.The number of anesthesiologists needed was calculated as 101.4,with a vacancy of 11.4.Conclusion The national health authorities were recommended to revise the standard of anesthesiologists deployment at hospitals.

Objective To investigate the role of NF-?B signal pathway in the stress of a rat acute colitis model. Methods Acute colitis were induced by 6% intracolonic acetic acid lavation in rats; the spinal I-?B levels were measured by Western blot at L5-S1 and C2-4 levels; the spinal COX-2 mRNA levels were measured by RT-PCR at the same segments; the expressions of spinal COX-2 were also measured by immunohistochemistry. Results There were obvious regional inflammatory responses after intracolonic acetic acid lavation in rats; the extent of inflammation was gradually aggravated with time.The expressions of spinal I-?B at L5-S1 level significantly increased after 0. 5 h in acute colitis group. Over the past few decades,health scholars have been searching for natural components that can prevent or improve the damage induced by hyperkinesis. The mechanisms of organ damage induced by long overtraining include immunosuppression,metabolism disorder,hormone disturbance,oxidative damage, etc. Natural poly-saccharides have interventional effects on these injuries,possibly by improving immunity,regulating metabolism and ameliorating free radical damage.

Objective To detect the antitumor activity against SW620 and syngenic colon cancer SW480 by a fusion of human metastatic colon cancer SW620 cells and human peripheral blood-derived dendritic cells (DCs). Methods SW620 cells and human peripheral blood- derived DCs were fused with polyethylene glycol(PEG). The fusion cells were confirmed by "phenotypes determine, morphologic observation, and cytotoxic T lymphocyte response induced by the fusion were studied. Results Mature DCs with highly expressed surface markers (HLA-ABC, HLA-DR and CD80, CD86, CD83) were generated in vitro. The fusion of SW620 cells with DC resulted in a hybrid cell with morphologic as well as phenotypic characteristics of both DC and tumor cells. Flow cytometry showed that the highest fusion efficiency was 27. 12%. CTL assay demonstrated that the DC/SW620 fusion induced specific cytotoxic responses against the SW620 and SW480 cells. Conclusion The fusion of tumor cells with DCs induces tumor rejection.

Objective To investigate the change and clinical significance of serum procalcitonin (PCT) level in patients with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP).Methods One hundred and forty-five CAP patients were enrolled.Serum PCT level was measured by immunofluorescent antibody staining method.CURB-65 score and pneumonia severity index (PSI) score were used to evaluate the severity of the patients with CAP.Correlations between PCT and blood white blood cell (WBC) count,serum C-reactive protein (CRP),PSI score,CURB-65 score,hospitalization duration and mortality were analyzed with Pearson correlation analysis,Logistic regression analysis and so on.Results Serum PCT in patients with CAP showed positively correlated with CURB-65 score and PSI score (r =0.606,0.943,P＜ 0.01 ),and serum PCT was also positively correlated with age,serum CRP and hospitalization duration (r =0.753,0.233,0.281,P ＜0.01),but it wasn't correlated with blood WBC count (r =0.152,P ＞0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that each increment of 1 μ g/L for serum PCT would increase 2.828-fold for the risk of death in CAP patients.Conclusions Serum PCT predicts the sensitivity and specificity of CAP with a similar prognostic accuracy with CURB-65 score and PSI score.Serum PCT in patients with CAP correlates with hospitalization duration and mortality.Therefore,it is a promising prognostic marker to evaluate the severity and outcome of CAP.It may serve as a useful marker for clinicians to evaluate the severity and prognosis of CAP.

Objective:To study the incidence rates of cancer in the urban area of Shijiazhuang city, China in 2012 based on the data of 2,374,827 registered residents. Methods: The incidence of diagnosed cancer cases in 2012 was obtained from the hospital reimbursement database of the medical insurance center of the city by retrieving the records on first-time reimbursement applications for the hospitalization of tumor patients from January 1 to December 31 in 2012. Population census data was obtained from the Population Department of the Shijiazhuang Public Security Bureau. The site-specific and sex-specific age-adjusted incidence rates were calculated. Results:The overall incidence rate, the age-adjusted rate of the Chinese population (ASRC), and the age-adjusted rate of the world population (ASRW) for both men and women were 237.53, 129.86, and 167.71 per 100,000 individuals, respectively. The incidence rate increased with age and peaked in the 75-79 years age groups of men and women at 1,729.42 and 867.35 per 100,000 individuals, respectively. The top ten most frequently diagnosed cancers in males were lung, stomach, colorectal, liver, esophagus, kidney, prostate, leukemia, bladder, as well as lymphoma, whereas those in females were the breast, lung, colorectal, stomach, cervical, uterine body, ovary, lymphoma, esophageal, and liver cancers. The incidence rate and ASRW of all cancers combined in men were 269.05 and 187.52 per 100,000 individuals, whereas those for women were 207.57 and 150.44 per 100 000 individuals, respectively. Compared with the average incidence rates of 31 Chinese cities in 2009, the ASRW of lung, stomach, and colorectal cancers in males from Shijiazhuang was nearly equal to the national level;however, the ASRW of breast cancer in females from Shijiazhuang was higher than the national level. When the incidence rates of Shijiazhuang in 2012 were compared with those of Beijing in 2009, the ASRW of stomach and esophageal cancers in men of Shijiazhuang was twice that of the same cancers in Beijing. However, the same parameters for the pancreatic and prostate cancers in men, as well as the thyroid and uterine body cancers in women of Beijing, were twice the values for Shijiazhuang. Conclusion: The ASRWs of the major types of cancer, such as the lung, stomach, colorectal, and breast cancers, in urban Shijiazhuang in 2012 were identical to those of the 31 Chinese cities in 2009. Compared with Beijing, the incidence rates of pancreatic, prostate, and thyroid cancers were significantly higher in Shijiazhuang, whereas those of esophageal and stomach cancers were significantly lower.

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects and assess the feasibility of radiofrequency thermo- coagulation denervation(TRD)mediated by digital subtraction angiography(DSA)for patients with lumbar facet joint syndrome(LFJS).Methods Eighty LFJS patients were randomly divided into two groups:a denervated group(groupⅠ)and a control group (groupⅡ).The lumbar facet joints of the patients in groupⅠwere treated with TRD,while those in groupⅡhad their lumbar facet joint cavities injected with the mixture of 1 mg betamethasone and 1 ml lidocaine.All patients were assessed using the Visual Analog Scale(VAS)before treatment and 30 rain,1 d, 1 w,1 m and 6 m after.Schober values were measured at 1 w,1 m and 6 m after treatment.The therapeutic effects and side effects were assessed at 6 m after treatment.Results VAS scores in groupsⅠandⅡat 30 min,1 d,1 w and 1 m after treatment were remarkably lower than before treatment.In addition,those in groupⅠ6m after treatment were also significantly lower(P＜0.01).Compared with those in the groupⅡ,VAS scores in groupⅠwere signifi- cantly decreased at 1 m and 6 m after treatment(P＜0.05 and P＜0.01,respectively).The schober values in groupⅠat 1 m and 6m were obviously increased in comparison with those in groupⅡ,while the therapeutic effects in groupⅠat 6m after treatment were better than those in groupⅡ(P＜0.01).There were no side effects,such as injuries to the nerve roots or dysfunctional dermal sensation,in either group.Conclusion TRD,mediated by DSA,has ther- apeutic effects on LFJS.Such treatment is safe,convenient,and gives long-term pain relief.
