Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(06):-
Objective To study the handicap of hearing and brain stem function in cerebral palsy children through determining their brainstem auditory evoked potential(BAEP).Methods BAEP were analyzed in 75 cases admissioned cerebral palsy children with MYTO type evoked potential equipment(made in Italy). Results The data showed that the abnormal BAEP rate was 72%(54/72),abnormity manifests as infaust differentiation of brainstem waves in diverse level, the latencies of wave Ⅰ,the interpeak latencies(IPLS) of wave Ⅰ~Ⅲ,Ⅲ~Ⅴ of BAEP in children with cerebral palsy were prolonged, the ratios of Ⅴ/Ⅰ wave amplitude was abnormal. Conclusion BAEP can be used to find out the changes of hearing handicap and brainstem function in children with cerebral palsy.

This study examined the roles of HLA-G in the pathogenesis, development and immune tolerance of hemangioma. From 2000 to 2007, 52 paraffin-embedded specimens (26 from males and 26 from females) of skin capillary hemangioma and 7 samples of adjacent normal skin tissues were collected. Four fresh specimens of hemangioma were also harvested. All samples were HE-stained and proliferative cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) was immunohistochemically detected by using SP method. The samples were classified into proliferative group and degenerative group according to the Mulliken criteria and the expression pattern of PCNA. SP method and quantum dots double staining were applied to detect the expression of HLA-G and PCNA in hemangioma and normal tissue samples. The expression of HLA-G was detected by RT-PCR. The results showed that among the 52 samples of hemangioma, 29 were of proliferative type and 23 degenerative type, and of the four fresh samples of hemangioma, 2 were of proliferative type and 2 degenerative type. SP method results showed that HLA-G was expressed in both proliferative and degenerative hemangioma, but not in normal tissues. The quantum dots double staining exhibited that HLA-G expression was significantly higher in proliferative group than in degenerative (P<0.05) and normal groups (P<0.05), but there was no statistically significant difference between the latter two groups (P>0.05). RT-PCR revealed that HLA-G was transcribed in both the proliferative and degenerative hemangioma tissues, but not in normal tissues. We are led to conclude that the elevated expression of HLA-G in proliferative hemangioma cells may lead to immune tolerance, which allows cells to escape immune surveillance and proliferate. On the other hand, the lower expression of HLA-G in degenerative hemangioma may result in immune cells-induced degeneration of hemangioma.

Objective To improve the hardware of a medical radioisotope dose calibration system base on LabVIEW platform. Methods Hiish performance voltage-frequency-converter VFC32 was applied to realize hardware circuit design of medical radioisotope dose calibrator, and the function of the circuit wag analyzed. The output voltage signal from the calibrator ionization chamber was processed by the designed circuit. The output frequency signal from the circuit was obtained by USB-6009 DAQ and was then processed by virtual instrument designed using LabVIEW 8.0.Results Experimental data graphs indicated that the improved system had a better linearity in the low and medium frequency band. Conclusion The redesigned radioisotope dose calibrator has advantages in improving measuring accuracy, measuring range,feeble-minded detection limit and so on.

International Journal of Pediatrics 2016;43(3):234-238
Along with contemporary development of life support technology in perinatology and neo-natal intensive care, mortality of preterm infants has been reduced. However, the problems caused by the brain damage have been attracting more and more attention. The long-term outcome of prematures depends on their nervous system sequelae among the total complications.Preterm infants'brain damage mainly includes intravent-ricular hemorrhage(IVH)and periventricular leukomalacia(PVL).IVH and its complications are the main causes of early death, mental and physical developmental disorder of neonatals. Thus, the early diagnosis of brain dam-age,especially PVL,has become a serious problem that we are going to face. The scholars in or aboard hao payed close attention to these markers, such as MBP、S100B、ACT A、NF-L、NGB、MMP、IL-6、IL-10、IL-1 1 、NSE.The paper reviews these biological markers.

Objective To assess the impact of antithymocyte globulin (ATG) on the incidence of graft-vs-host disease (GVHD) in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation from unrelated donors. Methods A total of 92 patients with hematological malignancies including leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and lymphoma who underwent hematopoietic stem cell transplantation from unrelated donors from January 1999 to December 2011 were included in this retrospective analysis.Patients were classified into ATG group (n =66)and non-ATG group (n =26) according to the GVHD prophylaxis regimen. The incidence of acute GVHD (aGVHD) and chronic GVHD (cGVHD),risk factors of aGVHD and cGVHD and impact of ATG on the overall survival (OS),treatment related mortality (TRM) and relapse rate were analyzed. Results Grade Ⅱ-Ⅳ aGVHD (26.7 % vs 44.0 %,P=0.12) or grade Ⅲ-Ⅳ aGVHD (13.3 % vs 8.0 %,P =0.74) were not significantly different between ATG and non-ATG group. However, the incidence of cGVHD in the ATG group was significantly lower (34.0 % vs 72.2 %,P =0.005) than non-ATG group. The incidence of extensive cGVHD was also significantly reduced (10.0 % vs 44.4 %,P =0.005) compared to non-ATG group. In multivariate analysis, the use of ATG prophylaxis significantly decreased the cGVHD (RR =0.22,95 %CI 0.081-0.599,P =0.003) while one allele mismatch of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) was associated with increased risk of cGVHD (RR =3.25,95 % CI 1.39-7.61,P =0.007).As to the extensive cGVHD,the use of ATG was the only independent factor (RR =0.05,95 % CI 0.009-0.240,P < 0.001).With a median follow-up of 12 months (1-84 months),ATG prophylaxis had no impact on OS rate (60.4 % vs 43.1%,P =0.41),TRM rate (19.8 % vs 34.3 %,P =0.43) and relapse rate (40.6 % vs 33.6 %,P=0.54).Conclusion In hematopoietic stem cell transplantation from unrelated donors,ATG prophylaxis total dose of 6 mg/kg may significantly decrease the incidence of cGVHD and extensive cGVHD without increase of TRMand relapse rate and impairment of OS.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the effect of naloxone on neuronal cells apoptosis induced by repeated febrile seizures(FS).Methods Warm water was used to induce 70 rats FS model 15 days after birth in this study; each rat was induced 7 times febrile seizures at one- day interval . Seventy rats were randomly divided into naloxone-treated group and FS control group, receiving injection of naloxone or saline at 5, 30, 60 min and 2 hours after FS each day respectively. The rats were sacrificed 24 hours after the last seizure. Neuronal cell apoptosis was determined by TUNEL methods in situ cell death kit. TUNEL positive cells(TPC) were stained and counted as apoptosis in hippocampus and cortex. Ultrastructural changes of apoptosis neurons were observed under the electron microscope(EM). Results Compared with the FS control group, naloxone treatment could significantly relieve neuron apoptosis induced by repeated FS when it was used at 5, 30, 60 min after the last FS. However there was no significant difference in neuron apoptosis between 2 groups when naloxone was used at 2 hours after FS. The comparison of different naloxone administration time showed that the earlier naloxone was injected, the fewer apoptosis neurons were induced by FS.Conclusion Naloxone,as early used in proper dosage, may significantly alleviate apoptosis after repeated FS ,and protect neurons.
