Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2018;49(15):3625-3631
Objective: To prepare plumbagin transfersomal (PBG-T) gel and investigate its transdermal penetration characteristics in vitro. Methods: Plumbagin transfersomes were prepared by film-ultrasonic dispersion method. The optimal prescription condition of PBG-T was selected by central composite design and response surface method. The formula of PBG-T gel was optimized by orthogonal test. The Franz diffusion cell was used to investigate transdermal penetration characteristics of PBG-T gel in vitro. Results: The optimal prescription condition of transfersomes was determined as drug 10.0 mg, phospholipids 700.0 mg, Tween-80 91.5 mg, ultrasonication time 13 min. The optimal prescription condition of transfersomal gel was 1% carbomer 940 as gel matrix, and 5% glycerol as the humectant. According to the optimized prescription, the entrapment efficiency, the mean particle size, and Zeta potential of PBG-T were (79.88 ± 2.26)%, (125.64 ± 4.54) nm, and (-30.97 ± 1.13) mV. The cumulative penetration rate of PBG-T gel was 70.0% at 12 h. Conclusion: The optimal preparation technique is stable and feasible. Transfersomal gel features a sustained release in vitro, the transfersomal gel can increase penetration rate of plumbagin through the skin of rats.

8.Preliminary study on relationship of disease-syndrome-symptom of ovulatory disorder infertility based on factor analysis.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(19):3860-3864
OBJECTIVEIn this study, the clinical data of 240 cases of data acquisition on ovulation in patients with anovulatory infertility.
METHODUsing the method of factor analysis, summed up the distribution situation of various syndromes and the relationship of disease-syndrome-symptom.
RESULTFrom the study we found that polycystic ocary syndrome > premature ovarian failure > corpus luteum insufficiency > luteinized unruptured follicle syndrome > hyperprolactinemia > anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Using the factor analysis method, the syndromes of anovulatory infertility were divided into six types and the distribution proportion of them is: kidney Yang deficiency and blood stasis > kidney Yang deficiency > kidney Yin deficiency and blood stasis > kidney Yin deficiency and liver Qi stagnation syndrome > kidney Yang deficiency and phlegm dampness stagnation > kidney Yin deficiency. By means of statistics, the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) symptoms as abdomen pain before menstrual onset, obfuscation colour, cold lower abdomen, insomnia, fatigue, eyes dark, face dark or ring lip dark, before and after menstruation breast swelling, chest tightness, irritable insomnia, depression and lower abdomen pain during menstruation etc contribute high degree in the process.
CONCLUSIONPolycystic ovary syndrome and premature are the main causes of ovulatory disorder infertility and the disease incidence rate assumed the tendency which rose year by year. The treatment of the disease of kidney yang deficiency syndrome scales biggest the disease degree of contribution. Blood stasis is the important factor in the process of pathogenesis evolution. In the study of disease distribution, we found that symptom distribution trend roughly the same and the same symptom severity in different diseases with different, which provides experience for the theory-different diseases with the same therapeutic method. These conclusions provide guidance and reference evidences for clinic practice.

China Pharmacy 2017;28(17):2410-2413
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of modified Bazhen decoction combined with antibiot-ics in the treatment of postpartum fever with qi-blood deficiency. METHODS:Totally 94 cases of postpartum fever with qi-blood deficiency selected from our hospital during Dec. 2014-Jun. 2016 were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table, with 47 cases in each group. Control group was given Cefazolin sodium for injection 3 g added into Sodi-um chloride injection 250 mL,ivgtt, bid;and given Azithromycin for injection 250 mg added into Sodium chloride injection 250 mL,ivgtt, bid if body temperature did not drop for consecutive 2 days;the patients with body temperature over 38.5 ℃ were giv-en Compound aminophenazone and barbital injection 2 mL intramuscularly. Observation group was additionally given modified Ba-zhen decoction on the basis of control group. Treatment course of 2 groups lasted for 5 d. Clinical efficacies were compared be-tween 2 groups as well as white blood cell count, plasma C reactive protein(CRP),plasma viscosity and fibrinogen(Fib)before and after treatment. The antipyretic time, hospitalization time and the occurrence of ADR were observed in 2 groups. RESULTS:The total response rate of observation group was 95.75%,which was significantly higher than 78.72%of control group, with statis-tical significance(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no statistical significance in white blood cell count,CRP,plasma viscosi-ty or Fib between 2 groups(P>0.05). After treatment, white blood cell count,CRP,plasma viscosity and Fib of 2 groups were decreased significantly, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). The antipyretic time and hospitalization time of observation group were shorter than those of control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). The incidence of ADR in observation group was 6.38%,which was significantly lower than 23.40% of control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Modified Bazhen decoction combined with antibiotics in the treatment of postpartum fever with qi-blood deficiency can significantly improve inflammation status and plasma viscosity, and speed up defervescence with good safety.
