1.Value of brainstem auditory evoked potential in diagnosing cerebral palsy
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(06):-
Objective To study the handicap of hearing and brain stem function in cerebral palsy children through determining their brainstem auditory evoked potential(BAEP).Methods BAEP were analyzed in 75 cases admissioned cerebral palsy children with MYTO type evoked potential equipment(made in Italy). Results The data showed that the abnormal BAEP rate was 72%(54/72),abnormity manifests as infaust differentiation of brainstem waves in diverse level, the latencies of wave Ⅰ,the interpeak latencies(IPLS) of wave Ⅰ~Ⅲ,Ⅲ~Ⅴ of BAEP in children with cerebral palsy were prolonged, the ratios of Ⅴ/Ⅰ wave amplitude was abnormal. Conclusion BAEP can be used to find out the changes of hearing handicap and brainstem function in children with cerebral palsy.
2.Clinical study of therapeutic effect of benazepril on nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy
Journal of Chinese Physician 2014;(4):447-449
Ojectvie To investigate therapeutic effect of benazepril on nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy ( NPDR) .Meth-ods Twenty nine patients with early diabetic nephropathy complicated with type 2 diabetes and NPDR were randomly divided into benazepril group ( n =12) and conventional therapy control group ( n =17).The changes of blood pressure , blood glucose, glycosy-lated hemoglobin , blood creatinine , urinary albumin , best corrected visual acuity ( BCVA ) , and fluorescein fundus angiography ( FFA) were observed before and after 3 and 6 months of treatment .Results After 3 months of treatment by benazepril , all laboratory detection parameters were no significant difference compared with before treatment and conventional therapy control group ( P >0.05);While after 6 months, compared with before treatment and control group , blood pressure, blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglo-bin, blood creatinine , and urinary albumin were significantly decreased ( P <0.05 ); According to the results of BCVA and FFA , progression of pathological changes of NPDR were significantly slower in benazepril group compared with control group ( P <0.05 ) . Conclusions Benazepril has some protection effect for NPDR to delay NPDR development and decrease serious complications .
3.Comparison of three types of eye care for preventing exposure keratopathy in the Intensive Care Unit
International Eye Science 2011;11(5):757-759
AIM:To compare the efficacy of three types of eye care (artificial tear, moist chamber and polyethylene covers) for preventing exposure keratopathy in intensive care patients.METHODS: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients were randomly divided to three treatment groups, including artificial tear group(29 cases), moist chamber group (27 cases) and polyethylene covers group (28 cases). Patients in artificial tear group received two drops of carboxymethylcellulose dropped to each eye every 2 hours. The moist chamber and polyethylene covers groups were changed every 12 hours or as needed if they became unclean or torn. Corneal fluorescein stain was performed daily.RESULTS:No one in the polyethylene covers group and one case(4%) in the moist chamber group had exposure keratopathy compared to 8 cases (28%) in the artificial tear group. There were statistical significance differences between both artificial tear group and moist chamber group (P=0.02), artificial tear group and polyethylene covers group (P=0.003). Everyday time of eye care in the artificial tear group, the moist chamber group and the polyethylene covers group was respectively 26.69±2.39, 35.33±2.63 and 7.48±0.87 minutes. Everyday time of eye care in the polyethylene covers group was statistically more time-saving than that in the artificial tear group (P<0.01) and the moist chamber group (P<0.01). CONCLUSION: Polyethylene covers are more effective and time-saving in reducing the incidence of corneal damage in intensive care patients.
4.Analysis of central corneal thickness in different degrees of diabetic retinopathy
International Eye Science 2014;(6):1061-1063
AIM: To study central corneal thickness ( CCT ) and correlation in different degrees of diabetic retinopathy ( DR) .
METHODS:A total of 65 cases (130 eyes) with different degrees of DR and 35 normal cases (70 eyes) as the age-and gender-matched control group were examined by corneal endothelial microscope, to measure CCT and statistics
RESULTS: Compared to control group, there were no significant difference of CCT both mild and medium nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy ( NPDR) groups ( P>0. 05 ). While the CCT of severe NPDR group and proliferative diabetic retinopathy ( PDR ) group were thicker than control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0. 05); Pairwise comparison in different degrees of DR groups: the CCT of severe NPDR and mild NPDR groups were thicker than PDR group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0. 05 );compared to medium NPDR, the CCT of PDR was thicker (P<0. 05);The thickness of CCT increases with severity of DR, there was positive linear correlation ( r=0. 173, P<0-05).
CONCLUSION: The CCT increases with severity of DR. Taking care of protecting corneal endothelium is very important in the time of therapeutic measure, especially intraocular operation, to decrease complication.

Chinese Journal of Medical Library and Information Science 2014;(12):10-12
The limitations of patent ranking were analyzed, followed by a description of the patent asset index, a novel approach to benchmark patent porifolios, which assesses patents according to their portfolios, market and technologies, and is thus a more accurate tool for assessing the value of intellectual property rights.
