1.The research progress of astragalus in regulating blood glucose steady state of diabetes patients
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;(1):87-89
In recent decades, the mortality and morbidity of diabetes have increased such that it is becoming a major worldwide public health problem. Intensive blood glucose control could significantly raise the patients life and their survival quality nevertheless it develops hypoglycaemia. Repeated hypoglycemia leads to glucose conterregulate deficiencyand hamper reaching glucose target goals. Astragalus, a traditional Chinese herb used in diabetic therapy for thousands years, has also proven its glucose counterregulationeffect on preventing hypoglycemia. Here, we summarize its glycemic regulation mechanism in different extracts. It is projected that the efficacy and safety of astragalus extracts will be proven in clinical trials and animal experiments in future, and this herb extract might be known as a new class of anti-diabetic drug without hypolycemia danger.

Aim Toinvestigatetheeffectsoftotalsap-onin of Dioscorea (TSD)on rats with monosodium u-rate crystal-induced acute gouty arthritis (AGA)and mechanisms. Methods Totally72Wistarratswere randomly devided into six groups,Each group was giv-en corresponding drug before, then rat acute gouty ar-thritis model was made by injection of monosodium u-rate in the ankle joint cavity. The gait, articular swell-ing degree and physiological changes of rats were ob-served.The concentration of TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-18 in serum were detected by ELISA.The levels of pro-IL-1β, NALP3, ASC, pro-caspase-1, and cleaved caspase-1 were detected by Western blot. Results AllTSDgroupsandcolchicinesignificantlychangedthe gait of rats and TSD high and middle groups signifi-cantly reduced joint swelling and diminished the patho-logical changes. The levels of TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-18 in serum were significantly decreased, and the levels of pro-IL-1β,NALP3,ASC,pro-caspase-1 and cleaved caspase-1 were apparently reduced in TSD high and middlegroups. Conclusion TSDpossessesanti-goutfunction and the mechanism may be related to sup-pressing the NALP3 inflammasome activation and in-hibiting the cytokine production.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2001;0(03):-
Objective:To survey the periodontal status of patients with metabolic syndrome in a Beijing community,so as to evaluate the relationship between periodontal status and metabolic syndrome.Methods:152 metabolic syndrome(MS)patients,106 post-acute myocardial infarction patients,211 hypertension patients and 56 healthy subjects were involved.Mesial buccal and distal lingual sites per tooth were examined. The periodontal status including plaque index(PLI),bleeding index(BI),probing depth(PD)and attachment loss(AL)as well as missing teeth number were recorded. Results:In male patients,PLI,BI and PD in MS group were higher than that in the other three groups although the mean age and smoking percentage of MS group were the lowest(P

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2023;35(1):36-40
Abstract
Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) are a common severe complication during pregnancy, which is characterized by complex etiology, unclear pathogenesis and lack of effective tools for early diagnosis and prediction. Recently, the development of omics technology provides new insights into the research into HDP. Based on national and international publications from 2011 to 2022, this review summarizes the application of genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and microbiomics in the pathogenesis and prediction of HDP, so as to provide insights into the prediction, prevention and precise treatment of HDP.

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2011;44(8):585-586
Objective To make a clinical and mycological analysis of tinea capitis in Guangzhou region. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 241 cases of tinea capitis collected from Feb, 1997 to Aug, 2010 in the Department of Dermatology, Sun Yet-sen Memorial Hospital. Results Among the 241 cases, 179 (74.27%) were tinea alba, 34 (14.11%) tinea kerion, 28 (11.62%) black dot ringworm, and no favus was observed. The dominant pathogenic fungi in decreasing order were Microsporum canis (182,80.89%), Trichophyton violaceum (25, 11.11%), Trichophyton mentagrophytes (10, 4.44%), Trichophyton tonsurans (3, 1.33%), Trichophyton rubrum (2, 0.89%), Microsporum gypseum (2, 0.89%) and Trichophyton verrucosum (1, 0.44%). Children were the main population (39.00%) suffering from tinea capitis. Conclusions In Guangzhou region, tinea alba is the most common type of tinea capitis, Microsporum canis is the main causative pathogen, and children are the predominate population affected by tinea capitis.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2014;31(6):1342-1345
The present paper is to evaluate the scientific research level and development trends of biomedical engineering in China using metrology analysis on Chinese biomedical engineering scientific literatures. Pubmed is used to search the biomedical engineering publications in recent 5 years which are indexed by Science Citation Index, and the number and cited times of these publications and the impact factor of the journals are analyzed. The results show that comparing with the world, although the number of the publication in China has increased in recent 5 years, there is still much room for improvement. Among Chinese mainland, Hongkong and Taiwan, Chinese mainland maintains the obvious advantage in this subject, but Hongkong has the highest average cited number. Shanghai and Beijing have better research ability than other areas in Chinese mainland.

Modern Clinical Nursing 2013;(10):29-31
Objective To develop a feasible method for evaluating uncertainty in colony forming units(CFU)on the disinfected skin of nurses of operation room. Methods A nurse of operation room in a hospital involved the study.Ten spots on her disinfected hand skin were selected for evaluation of uncertainty in the acquired data and analysis of reliability of the evaluation methods, according to Technical Norms for Monitoring the Disinfection and Sterilization Quality in Hospitals in Jiangsu Province and JJF1059-1999 Evaluation and Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement. Results The CFU on the disinfected skin of nurse was(4±2)cfu/cm2, which indicated that the disinfection of the nurse's hands was not qualified. Conclusion The evaluation method by our study is reliable for evaluating the uncertainty in CFU on nurse’s disinfected hand skin.It is simple and fitful for the uncertainty evaluation of hospital disinfection effect.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2013;38(8):793-797
Objective:To explore the mechanisms by which DNA methylation regulates miR-126 and its host gene EGFL7 in CD4+T cells from patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
Methods:We analyzed the expression and the DNA methylation status within promoter region of EGFL7 and miR-126 by real-time qPCR and bisulifte genomic sequencing analysis.
Results:miR-126 and EGFL7 mRNA expression was upregulated in CD4+T cells from SLE compared with that from healthy controls (P<0.01). EGFL7 mRNA level was positively correlated with miR-126 expression in CD4+T cells from SLE (r=0.538, P=0.015). The average methylation level of EGFL7 promoter in CD4+T cells from SLE was lower than that from healthy controls (P<0.05).
Conclusion:hTe upregulation of miR-126 and its host gene EGFL7 expression in CD4+T cells from SLE is associated with the hypomethylation of the EGFL7 promoter.
