Objective:To evaluate the value of improved pulmonary ultrasonography in the follow-up assessment of lung damage in patients who recovered from corona virus disease 2019(COVID-19).Methods:Twenty-two patients who were cured of COVID-19 in Quanzhou First Hospital from January to May 2020 were randomly selected and divided into 7 mild cases, 12 moderate cases and 3 severe cases according to the first high-resolution CT (HRCT) at admission. Six months after recovery, modified lung ultrasonography and HRCT were used prospectively to assess the lung damage and evaluate the correlation and consistency between the two techniques.Results:①There were significant differences in lung damage between the mild group and the moderate group, severe group (all P<0.05), while there was no significant difference between the moderate group and severe group ( P>0.05). ②There was good consistency between the improved lung ultrasound examination and HRCT (Kappa=0.776, P<0.001). ③There was a positive correlation between the score of improved pulmonary ultrasound examination and HRCT Warrick score ( r=0.755, P<0.001). Conclusions:Improved pulmonary ultrasonography can be used as a priority in the evaluation of pulmonary damage follow-up in patients with COVID-19 recovery, reducing the use of CT, and providing favorable evidence for further clinical management.

Objective: To investigate the expression of CD24 in prostate cancer (PC) tissues, and explore its relationship with clinicopathological features of PC patients. Methods:Atotal of 40 cases of PC tissues and 36 cases of corresponding para-cacerous tissues resected during surgery at the Department of Urology Surgery, Quanzhou First HospitalAffiliated to Fujian Medical University from February 2016 to March 2019 were collected for this study; in addition, 46 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia tissues were collected from patients underwent TURP surgery. Flow cytometry was used to detect the expression of CD24 in above mentioned tissues; One-way analysis of variance was used to analyze the relationship between the expression of CD24 and the age, tumor distribution, preoperative serum PSA, postoperative Gleason score, clinical stage and distant metastasis of PC patients. Results: The positive expression rate and MFI (mean fluorensece intensity) value of CD24 in prostate cancer tissues were significantly higher than those in para-cancerous prostate tissues and benign prostatic hyperplasia tissues (all P<0.05); CD24 positive expression rate and MFI value in PC tissues of patients with preoperative serum PSA≥10 ng/ml, postoperative Gleason score≥8 (low differentiation), clinical stage of T4 and distant metastasis were significantly higher than corresponding control group (all P<0.05); The expression of CD24 gradually increased with the progression of postoperative Gleason score and clinical stage ( P <0.05). Conclusions: The expression of CD24 is increased in prostate cancer tissues. The detection of CD24 expression level can help to determine the occurrence, development, invasion and metastasis of prostate cancer, and has potential clinical application value.

A case of fibrosing alopecia in a pattern distribution (FAPD) and its clinicopathological, dermoscopic and TrichoScan features were reported to improve the understanding of FAPD. A 23-year-old male patient presented with progressive hair loss on the forehead and top of the head for 10 years, local hair thinning and softening, and occasional scalp itching. Skin examination showed diffuse sparseness of hair from the forehead to the top of the head, frontal hairline recession, focal thinning and softening of hair, some follicular keratotic papules and perifollicular erythema on the alopecic area, with no obvious scales. TrichoScan examination revealed markedly decreased hair density and increased proportions of vellus hairs. Dermoscopy showed loss of some follicular ostia and confluent white dots. Histopathological examination of the scalp showed lichenoid lymphocytic infiltration around the infundibulum and isthmus of hair follicles, concentrically layered perifollicular fibrosis, hair follicle destruction, formation of follicular micro-scars, markedly increased variation in the diameter of residual follicles, and some vellus hairs. The patient was diagnosed with FAPD. FAPD is easily misdiagnosed as androgenetic alopecia, and early diagnosis and treatment are needed.
