In order to observe the febrifugal response of needling "Chang Qiang Point", and analyse its mechanism lumbar spinal cord of rabbits were damaged in the expermental study. The experimental findings were as follows: 1. It was found that cAMP content in csf was striking increased, when leukocytic pyrogen fever of rabbits was significant. During needling "Chang Qiang Point" of febrile rabbits, however, febrile response was markedly inhibited(at 60 min~?T℃ was 0.23?0.07 and TRI4 0.61?0.03). There was significant difference(P0.05). 3. After damaging lumbar spinal cord of rabbits, there were certain change of rectal temperature and the febrile response, but it had no effect on cAMP content in csf. The authors infered that the impulses from "Chang Qiang Point" transmiled Via spinal cord might be closely associated with reflex mechanism and the change of cAMP content might play an important role in the mechanism of febrifugal effect during needling "Chang Qiang Point" in febrile rabbits.

Objective To preparing the reference material(RM) of lactate dehydrogenase(LD),we purification of LD from human erythrocyte(RBC)and studied its properties.Methods Using a modified procedure which including complete hemolysis of the RBC,hydroxyapatite treatment,(NH4)2 SO 4 Precipitation,CM- Sephadex C 50,Sephadex G100 and 5'- AMP- Sepharose 4B affinity chromatography.Results The purified LD has a sepecific activity of 163.0 kU/g protein.It is almost free of contaminating enzymes.Two corresponding bands were observed on both PAG plates stained for either protein or LD activity after electrophresis had been done.The apparent Michaelis constants were of 1.000 and 0.179 mmol/L for L-lactate and NAD and of 0.119 mmol/L 0.062 mmol/L for pyruvate and NADH respectively.Conclusion The final purified LD was found to be very similar to that in human serum in catalytic properties.It is intended to be a fundament to prepare a RM for the measurement of LD.

Objective　To study the clinico-pathological features of primary adrenal lymphoma (PAL).　Methods　2 cases of PAL were reviewed and studied.　Results　The age of the 2 patients was 45 and 57.The presenting symptoms were nonspecific.Histologically,the neoplasm was composed of numerous medium-sized cells with round nucleus,usually 1-2 in number and with relatively abundant basophilic cytoplasm.The neoplastic cells showed frequent mitosis.Immunohistochemically,the tumor cells were strongly positive for LCA,L26 and CD74 while negative for UCHL-1,S-100 protein and CK. One case was discharged 3 months after operation because of dyscrasia and the other was lost on follow up.Prognosis of PAL was poor.　Conclusions　PAL is extremely rare with a high grade of malignancy.The diagnosis could be made on histopathological studies and immunohistochemical studies.

Objective To analyze the pressure source and effect of comprehensive intervention in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Methods 200 diabetes patients were randomized into the observation group and the control group with 100 cases in each group. Comprehensive intervention was introduced into the observation group and the control group underwent routine treatment. The pressure source was investigated after intervention by questionnaires and the results were compared. Results Fearing of serious complications bocame the most common cause of pressure. The scores of Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)and Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)were lower and the biochemical index was also better in the observation group than those in the control group as well as those before intervention in the observation group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The depression, anxiety status and biochemical index in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were effectively controled by corresponding and comprehensive intervention measures according to the sequence order of pressure source.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of losartan on the improvement of heart function and its effect on uric acid in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF). Methods Eighty-five patients with CHF were divided into two groups randomly. Routine anti-CHF treatment included cardiotonic, diuresis, isosorbide dinitrate, beta-blockers. In losartan group(n=43), patients were given routine anti-CHF treatment and losartan. The patients in control group(n=42) were treated by routine anti-CHF treatment and Benazapril. The heart functional was evaluated. The content of serum uric acid, electrocardiogram, and Duppler ultransonography were measured before and after treatment respectively. Results The variance of heart function, left ventricle diastoic diameter (LVDD), left ventricle ejection fraction (LVEF) and cardiothotic ratio did not show statistical difference. Objective To study the expression and cellular localization of STAT3 and SOCS-3 in the motor neurons of normal rat spinal cord. Methods Immunocytochemistry and morphometry methods were used in the present study. Results STAT3 immunocytochemical staining was mainly distributed in the cytoplasm of the motor neurons of the ventral horns, SOCS-3 immunoreactive products were extensively distributed in the neurons of the ventral and dorsal horns, glia and fibers of the spinal cord. In the ventral horn, SOCS-3 immunoreactivity was found in the nuclei and/or cytoplasm of the motor neurons.Conclusions STAT3 and SOCS-3 are extensively distributed in the normal adult rat spinal cord and SOCS-3 is existence in the forms of nuclear or cytoplasmic protein.
