Journal of International Oncology 2014;41(11):851-854
Extramedullary infiltration is one of the reasons of relapse and death for leukemia patients.Reaearches increasingly show that extramedullary microenvironment plays a pivotal role on progress and relapse of leukemia.Extramedullary infiltration of leukemia is the result of interactions among many factors and many steps, involving liver, spleen, central nervous system, thymus and other tissues and organs.
4.Relationship between alexithymia and patients' satisfaction in anterior esthetic restorations
Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2011;20(5):431-433
Objective To analyze the relationship between alexithymia and patients' satisfaction under the condition of good quality in the esthetic characters. Methods 211 patients requiring single anterior tooth restoration were treated with all ceramic crowns which were assessed by the good and moderate degrees. Patients received 20-item Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20) and a visual analogue scale assessing patients' satisfaction (VAS). Chi-squared analysis, correlation analysis and the general linear modeling procedure were calculated for TAS total and factors scores according to age, gender and dichotomized satisfaction. Results 85. 3% patients belonged to the high satisfaction group(VAS scores 80 or higher) and 7.1% reported alexithymia ( total score 61 or higher). No difference across gender was observed in the prevalence of alexithymia and satisfaction. Age was correlated with the TAS scores ( r=0.629) and satisfaction scores ( r= -0.429). According to dichotomized satisfaction,TAS total and factor 1&2 scores were significantly different. When adjusting for the effect of age,the association was existed between TAS scores and san'sfaction( r= -0.68). Conclusion Alexithymia has effect on dental satisfaction.
6. Tissue distribution study of capsosomes in vivo and evaluation of doxorubicin-loaded capsosomes in vitro
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2013;48(7):536-540
OBJECTIVE: To study the tissue distribution of capsosomes in vivo and the efficacy of DOX-loaded capsosomes in vitro. METHODS: Cy5-Capsosomes (capsosomes encapsulating Cy5-BSA molecules) were prepared by co-precipitation method and layer-by-layer assembly technique. After intravenously injected into nude mice via the tail vein, the tissue distribution of Cy5-capsosomes at defined time points were studied under Maestro in-vivo imaging system. The cytotoxicity of DOX-loaded capsosomes for B16F10 cells was identified by MTT, the apoptosis induced by DOX-loaded capsosomes was observed by means of fluorescent microscopy. RESULTS: Cy5-Capsosomes achieved in the lung less than 1h and accumulated there for more than 12h. There was little Cy5-Capsosomes distributed in other organs. Capsosomes had low toxicity, while the DOX-loaded capsosomes had strong toxicity for B16F10 cells and induced apoptosis obviously. CONCLUSION: The capsosome had favourable passive pulmonary targetability, and it can be used as a novel drug carrier in potential.
7. Preparation and characterization of capsosome as a novel sandwich-type drug carrier
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2012;47(3):199-203
OBJECTIVE: To fabricate a novel sandwich-type drug carrier called "capsosome" using natural polyelectrolytes such as chitosan and alginate, then characterize the structure, drug loading and release profile. METHODS: Chitosan and alginate and DMPG (Dimyristoyl Phosphatidylglycerole) liposomes were coated on the CaCO3 microparticles using layer-by-layer assembly technique. Upon removal of the CaCO3 template core, stable capsosomes, containing one layer of intact liposomes as cargo, were obtained; As a model drug, DOX with different concentrations was used to evaluate the drug loading ability of capsosome, the cumulative release a-mount was determined at different time points. RESULTS: Confocal laser scanning microscope images and transmission electron microscope images indicated that liposomes were embeded in the microcapsule shell successfully, drug loading amount of the obtained capsosomes increased with the DOX incubation concentration increasing (100-1000 μg · mL-1), the highest loading amount could reach to 30.47 × 10-3 ng/each capsosome, the cumulative release amount was about 46% in 48 h. CONCLUSION: The capsosome had favourable drug loading and release ability, it deserved to be studied as a novel drug carrier. Copyright 2012 by the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association.

Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2006;0(22):-
Objective To summarize the ten cases of pheochromocytoma with special clinical manifestations at onset so as to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment for pheochromocytoma. Methods Clinical data of 10 pathologically diagnosed pheochromocytoma patients after operation with special clinical manifestations at onset were analyzed. The onsets of their illness were respectively presented as acute coronary syndromes, diabetes or abdominal pain.We retrospectively summarized the clinical manifestations, the biochemical characters, the treatment, and the outcomes of these 10 cases. Results The 24-hour urinary vanillylmandelic acid(VMA)87.6~175.5 ?mol,catecholamine(CA)611.1~5 421.0 nmol,epinephrine(E)168.2~2 402.0 nmol and norepinephrine(NE)422.9~3 019.0 nmol were all elevated in the 10 patients before operation. And B mode ultrasonography or CT showed positive findings in adrenal.Ten patients were all pathologically diagnosed as with pheochromocytoma after operation. The angina pectoris attacks disappeared after operation in the 2 cases with acute coronary syndromes, while in 4 cases with diabetes, their blood glucose rebound to normal range gradually after operation without any treatment, and for the other 4 cases their upper abdominal pain also disappeared after operation. Conclusion For those pheochromocytoma patients with atypical clinical manifestations, the key points for the diagnosis are based on biochemical detections and imageological findings.
9.Treatment of septum pellucidum cysts by CT-guided puncture and cystoperitoneal shunt: Report of 12 cases
Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2005;0(11):-
Objective To explore the feasibility of CT-guided puncture and cystoperitoneal shunt in the treatment of septum pellucidum cysts. Methods Twelve patients with symptomatic septum pellucidum cysts were treated by CT-guided puncture and cystoperitoneal shunt. There were 8 patients with accompanying hydrocephalus. Before operation, routine coronal CT scans were carried out to determine the relationship between the center of the cyst and the baseline. Results Symptoms of headache and dizziness disappeared in all the 12 patients. No recurrence of epileptic attack was found in 3 patients with epileptic history.Clear consciousnesss was observed in 2 patients with loss of consciousnesss. All the 12 patients were followed for 2~36 months(mean,11 months).Postoperative CT and MRI examinations showed that the cyst disappeared in 10 patients and decreased in size in 2 patients(the maximum diameter decreased by 3~18 mm,with a mean of 12.6 mm).The enlarged ventricle in 8 patients with hydrocephalus was 30% or more smaller than that before operation. All the patients were discharged from hospital without any complications. Conclusions CT-guided puncture and cystoperitoneal shunt in the treatment of symptomatic sepeum pellucidum cysts is feasible and it has advantages of minimally invasion, simple to perform, less complications.
10.Application of Double Flap Reconstruction to Craniectomy through Transpetrosal-presigmoid Approach for Petroclival Tumor:Report of 14 Cases
Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(04):-
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of double flap reconstruction after craniectomy through transpetrosal-presigmoid approach in the treatment of petroclival tumor. Methods A total of patients with petroclival tumor were enrolled in this study.Craniectomy was performed on them through the transpetrosal-presigmoid approach, and then double flap reconstruction was carried out. After the temporo-occipotal free osseous flap(retrosigmoid flap)was obtained, the superficial flap of the mastoid process(presigmoid flap)was freed by grinding and drilling.During the operation, partial petrosectomy and mastoidectomy were avoided to protect the semicircular canals and cochlea. Results Among the 14 cases, radical resection of the tumor was performed on 8 patients, subtotal resection on 3,and partial resection on 3.Two patients developed CSF leak through the ear.No subcutaneous hydrops or intracranial infection was found in the patients. The patients were followed up at 3 and 6 months after the operation, during which no complications were detected. Conclusions The rates of CSF leak, subcutaneous hydrops, and intracranial infection are low after applying double flap reconstruction to craniectomy through the transpetrosal-presigmoid approach. The procedure are mini-invasive and safety.
