1.Effect of the combination of two kinds of total flavones on osteoporsis mice
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2008;15(8):1269-1270
Objective To study the effects of epimedium koreanum flavones and davallia mariesil flavones on osteoporosis mice induced by retinoie acid. Methods The osteoporosis mice were induced by retinoic acid and then were fed with epimedium koreanum flavones and davallia mariesil flavones. The biochemical markers in serum were observed. Results The data showed that the blood AKP were higher in mice treated with two total flavones than mice in model group, the blood HOP/Cr,BGP,Ca2+ were lower in treated mice than model group(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Conclusion This study suggests that those two total flavones can effectively treat the osteoporosis mice induced by retinoic acid.

The regulation mechanism of arecoline on rat hepatic CYP2E1 was studied in vivo. After oral administration of arecoline hydrobromide (AH; 4, 20 and 100 mg x kg(-1) x d(-1)) to rats for one week, the hepatic CYP2E1 mRNA level remained unchanged, but the hepatic CYP2E1 protein content was dose-dependently increased. Additionally, although the hepatic CYP2E1 activity was induced by AH treatment, the induction was attenuated with the increase in dosage. The results indicate that the effect of arecoline on rat hepaticdoes not involve transcriptional activation of the gene, but largely involves the stabilization of CYP2E1 protein against degradation or increased efficiency of CYP2E1 mRNA translation, and additionally involve the post- ranslational modification of CYP2E1 protein. Furthermore, the CYP2E1 response is fairly equal among the different species, the induction of rat hepatic CYP2E1 by arecoline suggests that there is a risk of metabolic interaction among the substrate drugs of CYP2E1 in betel-quid use human.

Objective To observe the effects of color retention treatment on the preservation of medicinal plant herbariums, film-cover specimens and resin specimens. Methods Seven kinds of medicinal plants with different characters after color retention treatment were made into herbariums, film-cover specimens and resin specimens, and then the preservation results for the above three kinds of medicinal plant specimens with or without color retention treatment were compared. Results Resin and film-cover specimens without color retention treatment had better preservation results than herbariums. All of the three kinds of specimens with color retention treatment had better preservation results for the original color and shape than the specimens without color retention treatment. Conclusion Color retention treatment for the medicinal plants results into higher preservation quality of the herbariums and longer preservation period.

Objective To establish a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method with diode array detection to simultaneously determine carbamazepine, phenytoin, and phenobarbital in serum. Methods Extraction solvent (800μl ethylene acetate) and sample (0.2 ml) was mixed, extracted for 2 min,and centrifuged (3500 r/min,4 minutes).A volume (600 μl) of extract liquor was volatilized to dryness in water bath with the volatilization temperature 75 ℃,then was redissolved with 1.0 ml mobile phase.Analysis conditions was column temperature 30°,mobile phase (methanol∶ water =40∶60),and detection wavelength of 254 nm.Three metabolites were effectively separated. Results Under the optimized condition, calibration curves of three metabolites were linear in the ranges of (1.52 ~ 120 mg/L) and the correlation coefficients were not less than 0.999.The detection limits (S/N =3) were in the range of 0.4 ~ 1.5 mg/L.The spiked recoveries were in the range of 91.3% ~ 111% with relative standard deviations (RSD) less than 5%.Conclusions The optimal pretreatment condition for the sample was established. The chromatographic separation and the detection condition were optimized. The method was sensitive and accurate, and could meet the need of monitoring serum drug concentration.

Objective To explore the effect of pentatone therapy in surgical patients. Methods A prospective random-ized controlled trial was used to select 100 surgical patients admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to September 2022 as the study object. They were divided into two groups according to the time of operation:50 surgical patients admitted from January to June 2022 who did not participate in the traditional Chinese medicine pentatone therapy were selected as the control group; From July to December 2022,50 surgical patients who were treated with pentatone therapy of traditional Chinese medicine were selected as the intervention group. The perioperative vital signs, anxiety, patient satisfaction and operation time were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in vital signs and anxiety between the two groups 60 minutes before admission(P>0.05);The levels of heart rate, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in the intervention group were(74.57±5.39)beats/min,(110.92±4.03)mmHg and(79.73±4.10)mmHg,respectively,lower than those in the control group, and the satisfaction was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The pentatone therapy of traditional Chinese medicine can improve the anxiety state of patients during peri-operative period, maintain the stability of vital signs and improve the satisfaction of patients.
