【Objective】To observe the therapeutic effect of laparoscopic ovarian electrocauterization(LOE) combined with cycle treatment of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM-CT) for type phlegm-damp refractory polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).【Methods】Forty PCOS patients admitted from August,2004 to March,2006 were randomized into groups A,B and C.Group A(N=20) received LOE and TCM-CT,group B(N=10) received LOE and western medicine for ovulation, and group C received LOE only. The endocrine hormones levels, ovulation rate and pregnancy rate were observed.【Results】The differences of serum luteinizing hormone(LH) and testosterone(T) levels before and after treatment were significant in group A(P0.05).After treatment,LH and T levels in group A differed from those in groups B and C(P0.05).The pregnancy rate in group A differed from those in groups B and C(P0.05).【Conclusion】LOE combined with cycle treatment of traditional Chinese medicine exerts a certain effect on improving reproductive health of patients with type phlegm-damp refractory polycystic ovary syndrome.

Objective To discuss with the principles and methods of whole rehabilitation plan including occupational rehabilitation and community re-integration for injured workers.MethodsAfter following up on 371 injured workers, 14 intensive investigation and follow-up injured workers' cases were taken out as samples and studied according to some elements including gender and family role, degree of physical disability, rehabilitation process, compensation for work injury. The status of occupational rehabilitation and community re-integration and affected factors were also analyzed.ResultsThe factors affecting injured workers' occupational rehabilitation and community re-integration included the degree of physical disability, gender and family role, compensation for work injury, work injury rehabilitation policy and the model of work injury rehabilitation service management by multi-professional group.ConclusionThe whole injury rehabilitation plan should be considered the needs of injury worker basic medical treatment, occupational rehabilitation and community re-integration, the appropriate support and guidance should be provided and the model of one stage and intensive investigation work injury rehabilitation service management should be established early.

Objective To analyze the dynamic changes of blood lactic acid and the risk factors of death in children with severe sepsis. Methods A total of 87 children with severe sepsis admitted in our hospital were selected as sepsis group, and the blood lactic acid levels were determined with blood gas analyzer on admission, and at 6, 12, 24 and 48 h after admission.A total of 60 healthy children were selected as control group at the same time, and the blood lactic acid levels were compared between two groups. The patients were divided into death group and survival group according to the prognosis. The risk factors of death were analyzed by univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analysis. Results The blood lactic acid level in the sepsis group was significantly higher than the control group on admission (P< 0.05).The blood lactic acid level was significantly higher in children with MODS than those without (P<0.05).The blood lactic acid level was significantly higher in the death group than the survival group on admission, and at 6, 12, 24 and 48 h after admission (P<0.05).The PCIS score, serum albumin levels, the incidence rate of MODS, number of organs affected by MODS, shock and usage of intravenous corticosteroids showed significant differences between the death group and the survival group (P<0.05).Logistic multivariate regression analysis showed that the independent risk factors for death in children included PCIS score, number of organs affected by MODS, shock, blood lactic acid level and albumin level. Conclusion Dynamic monitoring of blood lactic acid level is of great significance in the diagnosis of severe sepsis and the evaluation of prognosis.

ObjectiveConstruction of a negative control line for the Drosophila transgenic system based on ΦC31 integrase and vector plasmid pUASTattB to provide a more scientific negative control for transgenic Drosophila research experiments. MethodsThe vector plasmid pUASTattB was microinjected into four different genetic backgrounds Drosophila lines attP-25C6, attP-68A4, attP-75B1 and attP-86F8 embryos carrying ΦC31 integrase. All of the injected embryos were incubuated to get G0 adults, and each of them was crossed with balancer stock ywR13S separately in a single vial (1 adult of the G0 generation and 3 of the ywR13S in each vial). The probability of successful insertion was calculated by observing the colour of the compound eyes of the G1 generation of Drosophila to determine whether there was a mini-White insertion. The G1 generation Drosophila adults successfully inserted into mini-White were then selected to make single-vial crosses (one G1 generation male Drosophila crossed with three virgins of balancer Drosophila line) with each of the three balancer Drosophila strains DB, ywR13S and yw122, respectively, for balanced seed preservation. The genomic DNA of the conserved Drosophila lines was extracted and the vector plasmid pUASTattB was identified for transfer by PCR. Results12 Drosophila strains were obtained, all of which were red-eyedDrosophila melanogaster carrying the mini-White marker, and were identified by PCR as having the pUASTattB sequence insertion. ConclusionThe 12 transgenic Drosophila strains can meet the negative control requirements for the transgenic fly research experiments that constructed with pUASTattB as the vector basically, enriching the Drosophila resources in the National Drosophila Resource Center of China.
