Objective To study the effect and mechanism of Erzhi Tiangui Granule(Granule for promoting the uterine functions) on infertility induced by luteal phase deficiency. Methods Sixty infertility patients owing to luteal phase deficiency were randomized into the tested group(treated with Erzhi Tiangui Granule) and the control group(treated with Liuwei Dihuang Granule),30 in each. The improvement of TCM symptoms, the serum levels of estradiol(E2) and progestone(P),the expression of leukemia inhibiting factor(LIF) of luteal metaphase before and after treatment, and the pregnancy rate were observed. Results After treatment, the tested group was significantly better than the control group in improving the TCM symptoms(P0.05);the pregnancy rate in the tested group was higher than that in the control group(P

In order to improve the comprehensive quality and innovation ability of undergraduates, we integrate the pharmacognosy, natural medicine chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmacy, pharmacology experiment module in accordance with the drug development program, to construct multidisciplinary innovative pharmaceutical experiment course. Besides, we carry out teaching with scientific research mode, scientific evaluation to assess the effects and making analysis to expose the prob-lems, which lay a solid foundation for establishment of the innovative pharmacy experiment in the future.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the correlation between the cognition on hearing protection and mental health status of noise-exposed workers. METHODS: A total of 499 noise-exposed workers from 3 enterprises of coal mine, steel and textile in Xinjiang region were selected as study subjects by stratified cluster random sampling method. The cognitive status of hearing protection and mental health status of each group were investigated by the Workplace Health Promotion Pilot Project Questionnaire. RESULTS: A total of 235 workers had abnormal mental health status. The abnormal rate of mental health status was 47.1%(235/499). The results of logistic regression analysis showed that female, age ≤40.0 years, unable to bear current noise hazards, worried about noise-induced-deafness and noise-induced discomfort were the risk factors of abnormality of mental health status(odds ratio values were 1.62, 1.87, 2.42, 2.20, 2.14, P<0.05). Using hearing protectors for ≥3.0 years was the protective factor of abnormality of mental health status(odds ratio value was 0.47, P<0.05). CONCLUSION: The subjective cognition on hearing protection has an impact on the mental health of noise-exposed workers.

ObjectiveTo systematically review the effects of short-foot exercise on adult flatfoot. MethodsArticles related to short-foot exercise for flatfoot were searched from PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane, Embase, Scopus, CNKI, Wanfang Data and CBM, from January, 2010 to December, 2022. The methodological quality was evaluated with the Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) scale, and the relevant data were extracted. ResultsTen randomized controlled trials were included, involved 335 individuals. The mean score of the PEDro scale was 7.1. Short-foot exercise improved the navicular drop, posture index score, balance and cross-sectional area of abductor hallucis muscle for patients with flatfoot, but plantar pressure. ConclusionShort-foot exercise can improve the foot structure, balance and adductor hallucis muscle in adult flatfoot, but plantar pressure.

Objective To explore the effects and mechanisms of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell (HUC-MSC)-derived exosomes (Exo) pretreated with Huangkui capsules on renal ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI). Methods HUC-MSCs were cultured in media containing different concentrations of Huangkui capsules for 24 hours to determine cell viability and select an appropriate concentration for subsequent experiments. HUC-MSCs were pretreated with 50 μg/mL Huangkui capsules for 24 hours, and Exo were extracted using an exosome extraction kit. The morphology was observed under a transmission electron microscope, particle size was measured by nanoparticle tracking analysis, and the expression of exosomal membrane surface marker proteins was detected by Western blot. Human renal tubular epithelial cells (HK-2 cells) were randomly divided into hypoxia/reoxygenation group (M group), hypoxia/reoxygenation + Exo group (E group), and hypoxia/reoxygenation + Huangkui capsules pretreated Exo group (H group). Western blotting was used to measure the expression of endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS)-related proteins, and real-time fluorescent quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction was used to measure the expression of ERS-related gene messenger RNA (mRNA). Mice were randomly divided into sham operation group (Sham group), ischemia-reperfusion group (I/R group), ischemia-reperfusion + Exo group (E group), and ischemia-reperfusion + Huangkui capsules pretreated Exo group (H group). Renal histological assessment, serum creatinine (Scr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) measurement and inflammatory factor detection were performed 24 hours later. Results Both Exo and Huangkui capsules prereated Exo had a bilayer membrane structure and a cup-shaped morphology; their average particle sizes were 116.8 nm and 81.3 nm, respectively. Both expressed CD9, CD63, TSG101. Compared with the M group, the E group had decreased relative expression of transcription factor 6 (ATF6) and protein kinase R-like endoplasmic reticulum kinase (PERK) proteins, increased mRNA relative expression, increased relative expression of C/EBP homologous protein (CHOP) protein, and decreased mRNA relative expression. Compared with the E group, the H group had decreased relative expression of ATF6, PERK, CHOP proteins, and decreased mRNA relative expression of ATF6 and PERK (all P<0.05). Animal experimental results showed that compared with the Sham group, the I/R group had increased renal tubular injury scores, Scr, BUN, interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-10, IL-18, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α levels. Compared with the I/R group, the E and H groups had decreased renal tubular injury scores and Scr, BUN, IL-1β, IL-10, IL-18, TNF-α levels. Compared with the E group, the H group had decreased renal tubular injury scores and Scr, BUN, IL-1β, IL-10, IL-18, TNF-α levels (all P<0.05). Conclusions Huangkui capsules pretreatment HUC-MSC-derived Exo may alleviate renal IRI by inhibiting ERS.

ObjectiveTo compare the effect of three kinds of intrinsic foot muscle exercise on flatfoot. MethodsFrom September to November, 2022, 45 subjects with flatfoot from Capital University of Physical Education and Sports were randomly divided into short foot exercise (SFE) group (n = 15), toe-spread-out exercise (TSOE) group (n = 15) and short foot & toe-spread-out exercise (SF+TSOE) group (n = 15), who received SFE, TSOE and SF+TSOE, respectively, for eight weeks. The cross-sectional area of abductor hallucis muscle, navicular drop test (NDT) and Chippaux-Smirak index (CSI) were measured before treatment, four weeks after treatment and eight weeks after treatment. ResultsThree subjects dropped out in each group. The main effect of time was significant for left and right cross-sectional area of abductor hallucis muscle, NDT and CSI (F > 13.906, P < 0.001). The main effect of group was not significant for left and right cross-sectional area of abductor hallucis muscle, NDT and CSI (F < 1.934, P > 0.05). The interaction effect of group and time was significant for left and right NDT (F > 3.044,P < 0.05), and it was better in SF+TSOE group than in SFE group and TSOE group (P < 0.05). ConclusionSF and TSOE can improve the cross-sectional area of abductor hallucis muscle and foot morphology in subjects with flatfoot, and the combination of them may be more effective.
