1.Analysis on academic thoughts and its origin of Zhenglei Bencao
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2010;32(3):213-214
Zhenglei Bencao was written by TANG Shen-wei,a famous doctor of Song dynasty,on the basis of Jiayou Bencao and Benco Tujing through citing many precious literatures on Confucianism, history,Daoism and other social scientific works.Zhenglei Bencao stayed at a very important position in the history of Chinese materia medica.By studying this book, the author proposed that the reason for TANG Shen-wei rccording so many literatures on Confucianism and other social scientific works was the effects of Confucianism doctors appeared at song dynasty.Because TANG Shen-wei was a good doctor,he paid attention to collect Chinese medical formula.the processing of Chinese medicine.genuine medicine and food therapy. But as a result of less activity in Chinese herbs recognition and collection,TANG Shen-wei did not have a sound understanding on Chinese herbs and his own academic opinions.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2008;30(6):434-435,437
By studying medical works during the Sui and Tang dynasty,we discussed the factors that doctors of that period believed to affect the dosage of medicine. We found that doctors of that period developed the dosage theory in terms of compatibility of medicines, onset time a disease, dosage form of medicine, constitution and age of patients, and toxicity of medicine.

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2021;54(5):447-451
In recent years, the category of atopic dermatitis (AD) has been updated in domestic and foreign guidelines, and elderly AD has been added as a subtype. The pathogenesis of elderly AD is related to heredity, skin barrier dysfunction, immune dysregulation and lifestyle. Most elderly AD patients have atypical clinical symptoms, and misdiagnosis is very common. To fully understand the pathogenesis and clinical characteristics of elderly AD, and to formulate individualized diagnosis and treatment plans based on clinical characteristics, are particularly important for improving the quality of life of patients and reducing the burden of the disease.

For studying medical works during the Jin and Yuan dynasty, author discussed the factors affect the dosage of medicine that doctors in that period believed to affect the dosage of medicine. Author found that doctors in that period developed the dosage theory in terms of compatibility of medicines, onset time, and onset region of a disease.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2009;29(2):182-6
This study examined endogenous cannabinoid (ECB)-anandamide (AEA) and its cannabinoid receptors (CBR) in mice liver with the development of schistosoma japonicum. Mice were infected with schistosoma by means of pasting the cercaria onto their abdomens. Liver fibrosis was pathologically confirmed nine weeks after the infection. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was employed to determine the concentration of AEA in the plasma of mice. Immunofluorescence was used to detect the expression of CBR1 and CBR2 in liver tissue. Morphological examination showed typical pathological changes, with worm tubercles of schistosoma deposited in the liver tissue, fibrosis around the worm tubercles and infiltration or soakage of inflammatory cells. Also, CBR1 and CBR2 were present in hepatocytes and hepatic sinusoids of the two groups, but they were obviously enhanced in the schistosoma-infected mice. However, the average optical density of CBR1 in the negative control and fibrosis group was 13.28+/-7.32 and 30.55+/-7.78, and CBR2 were 28.13+/-6.42 and 52.29+/-4.24 (P<0.05). The levels of AEA in the fibrosis group were significantly increased as compared with those of the control group. The concentrations of AEA were (0.37+/-0.07) and (5.67+/-1.34) ng/mL (P<0.05). It is concluded that the expression of endocannabinoids AEA and its cannabinoid receptor CBR were significantly increased in schistosoma-infected mice. Endogenous endocannabinoids may be involved in the development of schistosoma-induced liver fibrosis.

6.Textual study of ginseng in Wupu Bencao.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2010;35(12):1630-1632
In the study of materia medica literature, we found of ginseng in Wupu Bencao that "Leaf is a little sharp, root is black and stem is pilous" had been ignored by its subsequent literatures. In this study, the variety of ginseng in Wupu Bencao was researched. We believed the remaining records of ginseng in Wupu Bencao referred to Oplopanax elatus instead of Panax ginseng. The origin of this species was in Handan during the period of three-kingdom dynasty, but distributed in the area of Changbai mountain nowadays.

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2021;54(2):178-182
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of non-coding RNA molecules that regulate gene expression after transcription and participate in various pathophysiological processes in the skin. In recent years, it has been reported that changes in miRNA expression profiles are related to some inflammatory skin diseases. For example, miR-203, miR-146a and miR-21 are upregulated in psoriatic lesions, miR-155 and miR-146a are upregulated in atopic dermatitis lesions, miR-21, miR-223, miR-142-3p and miR142-5p are upregulated in allergic contact dermatitis lesions; however, miR-146a and miR-155 are downregulated in peripheral blood of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, and miR-223 is downregulated in dermatomyositis lesions. This review summarizes relationships of miRNAs with the occurrence and development of some inflammatory skin diseases.
8.Study on processing adjuvant medicines in Lei Gong's treatise on preparation and broiling of materia medica (Leigong Paozhi Lun).
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2010;35(18):2493-2496
There were 268 kinds of medicines recorded in the book of Lei Gong's Treatise on preparation and broiling of materia medica (Leigong Paozhi Lun). Among these medicines, 178 medicines were prepared with adjuvant medicines, including general and special compatible adjuvant medicines. These adjuvant medicines used in this book can be explained by the theory of "seven-relation compatibility". The author tried to explain the usage and their compatibility of these adjuvant medicines and put forward that attention should be paid to the changes in functions of medicines and the influences of society should be paid attention.

Directive 2004/24/EC of the European Parliament and the Council entered into force on April 30th, 2004. After 7 years, there is no Chinese medicine to be registered successfully in European market as traditional herbal medicinal products. The thesis gives some ideas to tackle this problem. Procedure for the Preparation of Community Monographs for Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products (EMEA/HMPC/182320/2005) published by European Medicines Agency is an important guidance for traditional herbal products to enter European Community monographs. The thesis introduces and details the procedure as well as gives feasible suggestions about the procedure. It suggests that Chinese medicines enter European Community monographs first, and then apply the registration according to the directive 2004/24/EC. This is an easier access to European market.
10.Recognition of flavor in non-medical literatures of pre-Qin dynasty.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2010;35(4):511-514
By systemically sorting of non-medical literatures of pre-Qin dynasty such as the Thirteen Confucian Classics, etc, this article made an analysis on the meaning and content of flavor in that period with the Genesis and Epistemology, and pointed out that there were two meanings of the flavor: the first is the flavor or taste obtained by tasting, and the other is the five-elements flavor, a abstract flavor. The former flavor should be originated early than the later one. Besides, the article made a brief view on the functions of flavors in the health keeping and medicine.
