Objective To explore the effect of peer-education on self-efficacy of hemodialysis(HD) patients. Methods Totally 90 HD patients were divided into two groups equally. The intervention group received peer-education for 3 months and the control group received routine nursing. The two groups were compared in terms of score on self-efficacy. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the score on self-efficacy and every item between the two groups before intervention (P>0.05). The score on self-efficacy and the items ofcontrol of depressive mood, the confidence in taking self-care measures, the confidence in doing other thingswere statistically significantly different between the two groups after intervention (P<0.05). Conclusion Peer-education can improve HD patient′s self-efficacy.
3.Environmental endocrine disruptors and kisspeptin system
International Journal of Pediatrics 2014;(5):493-495
Environmental endocrine disruptors have garnered considerable attention in recent years be-cause of their endocrine disruption on sex development disorders. Kisspeptin system might be a novel target for endocrine disruption at the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonad axis. Environmental endocrine disruptors′estrogenic properties make them capable of interacting with the kisspeptin system, and then confer lifelong consequences in-cluding altered pubertal timing, infertility, and metabolic disorders. To date, three compounds have been well studied for their capacity to interfere with kisspeptin signaling pathways:BPA,PCB mixtures, and the phytoestro-gen GEN.

Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2013;(12):1113-1116
Objectives To investigate the causes of short stature in Turner syndrome (TS). Methods 86 patients were di-agnosed with TS by karyotypes from 2004 to 2013. According to the deletion types of the X chromosome short arm, growth hor-mone (GH), insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) and thyroid function, the TS patients were divided into different groups and com-parison was made among groups. Results Ht SDS in three groups with different extent of the deletion of the X chromosome short arm were (-4.39±1.08), (-3.26±1.25) and (-2.84±0.15) (P<0.05). The proportion of growth hormone deifciency (GHD) in the three groups were 62.5%, 38.9%and 0%(P<0.05). Ht SDS in groups with different degree of IGF-1 level were (-4.37±1.10), (-3.82±1.07) and (-3.25±0.91) (P<0.05). There was no signiifcant difference of Ht SDS between hypothyroidism patients with and without GHD (P>0.05). Conclusions The deletion of X chromosome short arm may cause the short stature in TS. The GH-IGF-1 axis in TS is impaired, but GHD is not related to short stature in TS.

Objective To investigate the detection of early cervical cancer patient's peripheral blood CK19 mRNA and its clinical significance. Methods 30 early (ⅠA2~ⅡA) cervical cancer patients from the department of gynecological tumors in the third affiliated hospital of Kunming Medical University were selected as experimental group, 15 patients with uterine myoma and 15 healthy volunteers as negative control group,15 advanced (ⅡB~ⅢB) cervical cancer patients as positive control group. Peripheral blood samples before receiving radical resection of experimental group, and the same samples before treatment of control groups were collected. The change of relative expression level and positive rate of peripheral blood CK19 was analyzed using qRT-PCR technique, and its correlation with clinicopathological parameters and prognosis was further analyzed. Results There was significant difference in relative expression level of CK19 mRNA in the peripheral blood between experimental group and control groups ( <0.001) . And the positive rate of CK19 in the peripheral blood from 30 patients with early cervical cancer before operation in the experimental group was 30% (9/30) . Furthermore, CK19 mRNA positive rate before surgery was correlated with lymph node metastasis, muscularis invasion and pathologic risk factors for postoperative ( <0.05) . There were no significant correlation between CK19 mRNA positive rate and other clinical and pathological features such as age, clinical stage (FIGO),tumor cell differentiation, tumor size, pathological type and etc ( > 0.05) . Conclusions CK-19 mRNA is a specific and suitable molecular marker for the detection of circulating tumor cells in early cervical cancer. Detection of peripheral blood CK19 mRNA expression before receiving radical hysterectomy in patients with early cervical cancer can also make up for the disadvantage of other methods such as the imaging, tumor marker detection. Most important of all, it can provide the basis for choosing a proper adjuvant therapy post-operation and estimating the relapse and prognosis.
