Objective To investigate manifestations of chronic obstructive parotitis (COP) under sialoendoscope and to evaluate curative effects of duct dilatation and drug perfusion for COP. Methods Twelve patients with COP were examined by sialoendoscopy. Treatment was performed by duct dilatation and gentamycin perfusion one week later. Results There were 11 cases of sialodochitis (complicated by sialostenosis in 7 cases, including 4 cases of polyps and 2 cases of mucus embolism, and simple sialodochitis in 4 cases) and 1 case of simple sialostenosis. Follow-up for 4 weeks showed that results were excellent in 4 cases, good in 7 cases, and poor in 1 case. Conclusions Sialoendoscopic exploration with dilatation procedure and drug perfusion offers certain short-term curative effects in the management of COP.

Objective:To explore the correlation between ascending aortic elasticity and coronary blood flow reserve (CFR)in patients with hypertension. Methods:A total of 60 patients with essential hypertension were regarded as hypertension group, another 50 normotensive subjects were enrolled as normal control group during the same period. Ascending aortic dilation (D),stiffness (β)and CFR were measured and calculated by tissue Doppler ultrasound, then compared between two groups.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation amongβ,D and CFR.Results:Compared with normal control group, there were significant reductions in D [(3.59±0.30)10-6 cm2/d vs.(2.88±0.77)10-6 cm2/d]and CFR [(3.23±1.16)vs.(2.02±0.63)],and significant rise inβ[(3.54 ±1.52)vs.(5.46±1.98)]in hypertension group,P<0.05 or<0.01. Pearson correlation analysis indicated thatβwas significant inversely correlated with CFR (r=-0.413,P=0.005),while D was significant positively correla- ted with CFR (r=0.384,P=0.003 ).Conclusion:Reduced ascending aortic elasticity is significantly correlated with coronary blood flow reserve.

Objective To investigate the effects of different degrees of autophagy on the apop-tosis of GABAergic neurons in spinal dorsal horn of postherpetic neuralgia model mice. Methods Forty-eight Kunming mice, approximately 6-8 weeks of age and weighing 18-22 g,were randomly divided into four groups by a random digital generator of SPSS 19.0:resinotoxin+autoph-agy induction group (group PHN+Rapa),resinotoxin group (group PHN),resinotoxin+autophagy inhibitor group (group PHN+3-MA)and blank control group (group C),12 mice in each group. Group C was given no treatment, and the other groups were given intraperitoneal injection of 0.2 μg/g resiniferatoxin (RTX)to prepare PHN model. After successful model establishment, group PHN+Rapa was given Rapamycin (1 μg·kg-1·d-1),physiological saline was given to group PHN, group PHN+3-MA was given 2 μg·kg-1·d-1autophagy inhibitor 3-MA.The intraperitoneal injection was continued for 14 day.The mechanical withdrawal threshold (MWT)and the latent period of thermal withdrawal latency (TWL)were detected and the mice were killed after stability. The segments of L4-6spinal cord were extracted and the relative expressions of bcl-2,Bax and autoph-agy-associated protein LC3 were detected by western blot.Detection of the number of apoptotic cells in the spinal cord by fluorescence Tunel. The number of GABA intermediate neurons in the dorsal horn of the spinal cord was labeled by immunofluorescence. Results Compared with group C,the rel-ative expression level of Bax protein increased significantly, the LC3-II/I ratio and the number of ap-optotic cells increased significantly, the relative expression level of Bcl-2 protein and the number of GABA neurons in spinal dorsal horn were significantly reduced in other groups (P<0.05).Compared with group PHN,the LC3-II/I ratio and the relative expression level of Bax protein, the number of apoptotic cells increased significantly, the relative expression level of Bcl-2 protein and the number of GABA neurons in the spinal dorsal horn were significantly decreased of group PHN+Rapa (P<0.05).Compared with group PHN,the relative expression level of LC3-II/I ratio and Bax protein, the number of apoptotic cells decreased significantly, the relative expression level of Bcl-2 protein and the number of GABA neurons in spinal dorsal horn increased significantly of group PHN+3-MA,(P<0.05).Conclusion Over activation of autophagy may be one of the mechanisms leading to the ap-optosis of GABA neurons in the dorsal horn of the spinal cord in postherpetic neuralgia.

ObjectiveTo conduct on-site epidemiological investigation, emergency response, tracing of infection source and analysis of a confirmed COVID-19 case of a foreign airline cargo service staff member in Shanghai’s international airport, aiming to provide reference for prevention of imported COVID-19 cases under regular prevention and control of COVID-19. MethodsA retrospective field epidemiological investigation was conducted to collect information of basic characteristics, illness onset, diagnosis, treatment, clinical manifestations, exposure history and risk factors within 14 days before onset, close contacts, close contacts of close contacts, and key places related to activity trajectories. Respiratory tract specimens of cases and contacts were collected for detection of SARS-CoV-2 by real time RT-PCR (rRT-PCR). Emergency response, including infection source analysis and contact management, was conducted. ResultsThe case developed pharyngeal itch on July 28, 2021, and fever on the 30th, and went to the hospital for treatment twice on the 31st. Because his specimen was positive for SARS-CoV-2 by rRT-PCR on August 1, he was isolated and treated on August 2 and diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19. The case was a foreign airline cargo service member at an international airport. The two regular nucleic acid screenings of him as a high-risk occupation on July 21 and 28 were negative. He did not leave Shanghai within 14 days before the onset of illness. During July 22nd and 23rd, he was repeatedly exposed during work to the high-risk environment that may have been contaminated by SARS-CoV-2 and had contact with the crew of foreign airlines, and the personal protection was not standardized. None of the 67 close contacts and 567 close contacts of close contacts in Shanghai showed symptoms during the 14-day medical quarantine, and the specimens of them were all negative for SARS-CoV-2 by rRT-PCR. The results of genome sequencing analysis showed that the genomic homology between the virus of the case and the one of recent domestic local epidemic and the recent imported cases was low, and the homology with the overseas Delta mutant strain was higher than that of the domestic Delta mutant strain. ConclusionThe situation of prevention of COVID-19 import is still serious. It is necessary to conduct regular nucleic acid screening for high-risk occupational groups, strengthen the diagnosis and reporting awareness of medical institutions, effectively implement the prevention and control measures for people, objects, and environment at international airports, and further enhance the public's awareness of personal protection.
