Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of concept maps in developing critical thinking ability in nursing baccalaureates. Methods Divided 60 nursing students into the experimental group and the control group randomly, there were 30 cases in each group. Traditional nursing care plans was used in the control group, while concept maps was used in the experimental group when analysis typical case. Evaluated the critical thinking ability between the two groups by CTDI-CV at the beginning and the end of term. Results The difference of CTDI-CV scores in the experimental group at the beginning and the end of term was significant, while the difference in the control group was not. Conclusions Concept maps can effective improve nursing students' ability of critical thinking.

Objective Based on the educational concept of competency based education,this paper analyzed the present situation and problems of nursing occupational protection education and occupational protection in china,and explored the necessity of setting up the nursing occupational toxicology and nursing occupational protection in the nursing colleges.Methods The whole tentative plan was presented through the analysis of the course description,teaching method,curriculum content and objectives,curriculum evaluation of nursing occupational toxicology and nursing occupational protection in colleges.Results Students will be able to really aware of the health dangers of various toxic and harmful substances,to set up the correct ideas of occupational protection,to actively taken effective protective measures,to avoid personal injury accidents by studying in this program.Conclusions A course of occupational toxicology study and nursing occupational protection in nursing colleges is suggested to enhance the students' ability of occupational protection.It is imperative for nursing students to complete the degree program.

BACKGROUND:Side population(SP)cells,with varied contents,are widely distributed in adult tissues,embryos,and certain tumor cells.Haematological tumor is one of the main pathological conditions,which endangers human life.Thus,it is important to recognize SP cells in haematological tumor cell lines.OBJECTIVE:To identify whether hematologic tumor cell lines contain SP cells,and to explore a stable detection and separation methods.METHODS:Cells with the characteristics of stem cells being capable of fluorescent dye Hoechst33342 were isolated by flow cytometry;whether there were SP cells in logarithmic growth period of NB4,Raji,K562/ADM and K562 or not were detected.After sorting K562 subpopulations,the purity of sorted cells was detected.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:After Hoechst33342 staining,flow cytometry results showed that the SP cells appeared in the haematological tumor NB4,Raji,K562/ADM and K562 cell lines,which accounted for 0.8%,2.7%,1.3% and 2.7%,respectively.These cells could be blocked by Verapamil.The purity was greater after a second detection of SP and Non SP cells in K562 cells.

An investigation of inappropriate feeding behavior and its impact was conducted in patents of 875 infants and toddlers aged 1-24 months from March 2004 to February 2008.The survey revealed that inappropriate feeding behavior included feeding sugar solution or sweet fruits daily in 72.1％ parents (631/875) ; adding yolk as the first supplementary food in 51.3％ (394/768) ; not allowing handgrabbing food or coarse food for infants over 7 months in 50.4％ (270/536) and 44.0％ (236/536) ; no meat eating for infants over 12 months in 36.0％ (54/150).And also revealed that 34.0％ (270/795) and 24.8％ (184/743) parents mixed rice flour or yolk with formula milk,respectively; 17.6％ (48/273) infant over 10 months only had cereal; insufficient or excessive water were used for reconstituting milk powder in 11.8％ (87/735) and 9.3％ (68/735),respectively.The results of investigation indicate that inappropriate feeding behavior among infants and toddlers are quite common and the reasons are various.

Objectives:The time of Carotid intervention for recently symptomatic,severe carotid stenosis which cause a transient ischemic attack or minor stroke is still a controversial issue.Early studies showed that carotid endarterectomy (CEA) caused a high risk if performed within days follow an acute ischemic stroke.However,The National Stroke Strategy posted by UK Department of Health advocated that this situation should be regarded as an emergency procedure,and carotid intervention should ideally be performed within 48 hours.We designed this study to discuss the effect of urgent CEA on operative risk and benefit.Methods: we analyze 12 urgent CEA with primary closure performed during 1996 to 1998.All 12 patients were underwent CEA within 2 weeks,and 2 of them within 2 days.Operative risks and overall benefit from surgery were discussed in relation to the time from the last symptomatic event to CEA.Results: 2 urgent CEA performed in 2 days are recovery uneventful.1 of 12 patients,who underwent urgent CEA within 2 weeks,occurred restenosis after 3 months follow up.No 30-day perioperative recurrent TIA,stroke and death.Conclusions:CEA performed within 2 weeks is feasible and reliable procedure in preventing recurrent TIA and stroke after presenting manifestations.The future aim is to perform CEA within 48 hours after TIA or stroke symptoms.

Objective To explore the diagnosis value of ultrasound-guided COre needle biopsy(CNB)and frozen sectionin breast cancer.Methods There were 41 cases of breast tumor which were suspicious with ultrasonography,and using Bard automatic biopsy device was applied for percutaneous puncture by ultrasound-guided in breast neoplasms.Tissue samples were harvested for frozen soetion pathologic examination.compared with 42 clinical cases of the turnour which suspicious with ultrasonography were excised in operation room(B group)during the same time.Results The outcome of frozen sections were finished in 30～40 miutes.Thirty-nine cases were diagnosed to be malignant,36 cases were infiltrated ductal carcino and 3cases were infiltrated lobular carcinoma,two cases were severely non-type hyperplasia the sensitivity of sonographically guided CNB for the diagnosis of breast cancer was 95.1%.one operation was finished in 60 to 120 minutes,the average is 68.19±12.41 minutes.In group B,sensitivity of diagnosis of breast cancer was 97.6%(P＜0.05).One operation was finished in 120 to 200 minutes,the average was127.88±11.50 minutes(P＜0.05).Conclusion It can achieved higHy diagnostic rate,and have benefit of setting down the operations program and the operating time was curtailed when breast cancer was utrasound-guided by CNB and examinede with frozen section.

Objective To explore the application of flipped class model based on SPOC in the course of internal medical nursing. Methods Randomly selected from Shanxi University of Medical grade 2014, 206 undergraduate students as the research object. The control group (104) and experimental group (102) .The experimental group used flipped class model based on Small Private Online Course (SPOC) teaching method;the control group used the traditional teaching mode. After the end of the course, compared two groups nursing students′self-regulated learning ability and critical thinking ability whether there are differences by autonomous learning ability scale and Chinese version of critical thinking disposition inventory (CTDI-CV). Results The experimental group students′theory assessment results, critical thinking ability and self-regulated learning ability were (75.68 ± 9.32), (303.04 ± 16.54), (112.39 ± 11.10) higher than the control group (69.43 ± 11.41), (288.23 ± 15.84), (102.58 ± 9.31), the difference was statistically significant (t = 2.837,3.451,3.512, P<0.05). Conclusions The flipped class model based on SPOC teaching method was better than traditional teaching mode, it improved the students' theory assessment results and self-regulated learning ability and critical thinking ability.
