Journal of Endocrine Surgery 2009;3(1):8-12
Objective To investigate various sex hormones and the their relation in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).Methods 40 patients with PCOS were matched with 40 age matched healthy women, study group was divided into the obese group and non-obese groups based on body mass index, insulin resistance and non-insulin-resistance based on insulin sensitivity index. The level of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), prolactin (PRL), estradiol (E2), testosterone (T), androstene dione (A4), sulfal-dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEAS), sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), fasting glucose(FG), fasting insulin (FIN) was measured in both group. Homeostasis model assessment insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), insulin sensitivity index (ISI) and free androgen index (FAI) were caulculated. Results ①In the PCOS group,LH, LH/FSH, T, A4, FAI, FIN and Homa-IR were significantly higher compared to the control, while FSH, SHBG, ISI were significantly lower (P<0.05),PRL, FG, E2, DHEAS level did not show difference (P>0.05). ②There were significant differences in T, FAI, A4, but not in DHEAS between the PCOS group and the control one. ③There were significant differences between the hirsute group and the non-hirsute group in T, FAI, A4 (P<0.05). ④In the obese PCOS group compared to the non-obese PCOS group, T, A4, DHEAS were not significantly different, but FAI and Homa-IR were significantly higher, SHBG, ISI, LH/FSH were significantly lower. ⑤The quantity of insulin resistance in the increased T group was significantly higher compared to the common T group. ⑥In the insulin resistance group compared to the non insulin resistance group, there were not significant differences of A4、DHEAS,T and FAI was significantly higher.⑦In PCOS group, there were significant positive correlation between FAI useful parameter compared to T, A4, DHEAS for the diagnosis of PCOS. Obese PCOS women have more severe and BMI,FAI and Homa-IR;BMI and LH/FSH were significant inverse correlation. Conclusions FAI is more endocrine secretion and metabolic disturbance than non PCOS women. Hyperandrogenism and insulin resistance are consanguineous correlation.

Objective To evaluate the expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 and their relation with tumor invasion and metastasis in transitional cell carcinoma of bladder (TCCB). Methods Immunohistochemistry of EliVision were respectively used to determine the MMP-2 and MMP-9 expression in tumor tissues of 46 patients with TCCB and 14 cases of control group which were screened quantitatively (3-5 cm of surrounding tumor) between August 2006 and August 2008. Results Expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in TCCB are obviously higher than the normal control group (P <0.01), expressions of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in level Ⅱ,Ⅲ are obviously higher than in level Ⅰ (P <0.01), but there was no significant relationship between high stage or level Ⅲ and low stage or level Ⅱ (P >0.05). Conclusion The positive expressions of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in tumor tissues correlated with the malignant degree, invasion and metastasis of TCCB, MMP-2, MMP-9 could be useful indicators for the assessment of prognosis of TCCB.

The air fungi in the experiment container according to their quantity were Saccharomyces(50.20%), Aspergillus(12.46%), Penicillium(10.77%), Hormodendrum(9.29%) and so on. There were a lot of air fungi in the west Luzhou City all the year round. The air fungi quantity was high during May to September in a year. Conclusion A lot of fungi wave to and fro in air in the west of Luzhou City all the year round. The quantity of air fungi changes as the season goes on and it is high during May to September. The main fungi are Alternaria, Ustilaginales, Epicoccum, Hormaodendrum and so on.

Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2017;37(9):10-13
Objective This study explored the protective effect of tetramethylpyrazine on myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury via inhibiting oxidative stress. Methods Primary cultured neonatal myocytes were applied to explore the anti-ischemia/reperfusion injury property in vitro. The survival viability of myocytes was determined by MTT; enzyme activities such as lactate dehydrogenase, creatine kinase, superoxide dismutase, malondialdehyde, and nitric oxide were analyzed with assay kits; inducible nitricoxide synthase and endothelial nitric oxide synthase expressions were determined by Westernblot. Results Tetramethylpyrazine significantly improved the beating frequencies of myocytes after oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation procedure, decreased lactate dehydrogenase, creatine kinase, and malondialdehyde levels and enhanced superoxide dismutase activity.Tetramethylpyrazine also inhibited excessive production of nitric oxide through downregulating inducible nitric oxide synthase as well as upregulating endothelial nitric oxide synthase during ischemia/reperfusion injury. Conclusion Tetramethylpyrazine could significantly improve the oxidative-stress tolerance of myocytes to keep cell membrane integrity and protect the myocardial tissue of normal physiological function via an antioxidant effect and by restoring the balance between inducible nitric oxide synthase and endothelial nitric oxide synthase, while inhibiting the generation of cytotoxic concentrations of NO.
