2.Effects of Different Ventilation Modes on Respiration and Circulation in Elderly Patients Undergoing Thoracic Surgery
Journal of Kunming Medical University 2016;37(5):88-92
Objective The aim of this study was to explore the effects of volume controlled ventilation (VCV),pressure controlled ventilation(PCV)and pressure controlled ventilation-volume guaranteed (PCV-VG)on respiration and circulation in elderly patients undergoing thoracic surgery. Methods Thirty-six elderly patients who underwent thoracic surgery were enrolled in our study. Patients were divided into VCV,PCV and PCV-VG groups according to randomized design. The hemodynamic and respiratory data and the arterial blood gases had been recorded in the pre-operation,20 min,40 min,60 min after OLV and 20 min after the resumption of two lung ventilation. Results Compared with VCV group,Ppeak value was significantly lower in PCV and PCV-VG groups(P < 0.05),and the difference was not found between the PCV and PCV-VG groups. PaO2 levels in PCV and PCV-VG groups were higher than that in VCV group after the point of OLV+40(P < 0.05). Comparison of PCV group,PaO2 in PCV-VG group was higher, but did not show a significantly improved during OLV(P > 0.05). Conclusion Compared with VCV,the use of PCV and PCV-VG have significant advantages in the operative oxygenation and airway pressure for elderly patients undergoing OLV.
3.Inflammation-targeted MR molecular imaging in atherosclerosis disease
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(08):-
Atherosclerosis,as a chronic inflammatory vascular disease, involves many cellular and molecular events in its formation and progression from an early fatty streak lesion to a highly dangerous rupture-prone plaque. The vulnerability or destabilization of atherosclerotic plaques is closely associated with plaque composition.Such imaging modality as magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),which allows of the evaluation of the plaque composition at the cellular and molecular level, may differentiate vulnerable and destabilized plaques and monitor the efficacy of antiatherosclerotic therapies. This paper gives an overview of molecular imaging strategies currently used for targeting the inflammation markers of atherosclerotic plaque vulnerability.

5.Research progress of chimeric antigen receptor natural killer cells in hematological malignancies
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2021;44(1):77-82
Chimeric antigen receptor natural killer cell (CAR-NK) is a new promising immunotherapy. NK cell can derive from peripheral blood cells, cord blood cells, NK-92 cell line and iPSC cells. CAR-NK cells can recognize target antigens non-specifically and are not restricted by human leukocyte antigens. Allogeneic infusion of CAR-NK cells does not cause graft-versus-host disease. It has a strong effect on primary cells of leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma, thus making animal models have strong anti-tumor effect. Therefore, as a "off-the-shelf" product, CAR-NK cells have a wide range of clinical applications. In this paper, the construction of CAR-NK vector and its preliminary clinical application in hematological tumors and the challenges were reviewed.

Journal of Kunming Medical University 2016;37(12):41-46
Objective To explore the current status of sexual education and real needs of college freshmen in Kunming. Methods By applying random sampling,350 students from three universities in Kunming were investigated by seff-administered questionnaire, and 310 valid questionnaires were recovered.Fesults 23.9% students confirmed that the schools do not provide courses related to sexual health, and 22.9% of the surveyed students claimed that they even did not heard any sexual education courses in their schools. The main sources of students to acquire information in terms of sexuality and sexual health are network television, video magazines, friends and classmates. Both male and female students are more acceptable to carry out sex education lectures. There were significant differences between male and female students in the form of obtaining sexual education, the content of sexual education and the demand of sexual education in three aspects (P<0.05).Girls tend to carry out sexual education in the form of major courses, but boys tend to the form of playing video or distributing books and periodicals (P<0.05).Girls tend to obtain the courses on sexually disease,AIDS,heterosexual intercourse,or love psychology, but boys tend to contraceptive knowledge and skilIs,or Sexual value orientation (P<0.05).Girls are more likely to acquire the knowledge of masturbation, sexual health,or sexual health, but boys prefer to the knowledge of sexual psychology, parasexuality,or homosexuality (P<0.05).Conclusion As a main body of educational institute for young people, all universities should provide training courses related to sexuality and sexual health at the early stage of higher education in order to equip college students with essential knowledge and skills to have safer and positive impact on their college studies.
7.Otoplasty of slited cartilage to correct flaring ear
Chinese Journal of Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology 2011;17(1):19-21
Objective To study a new method of correcting flaring ear. Methods Auricular cartilage was slited from posterior auricula. On Gibson's principle of cartilage distortion antero-lateral cartilage membrane was scarified in order of the involute interpolation of anthelix and cartilage membrance was ground. Then the cartilage outside the slited line was put behind the cartilage inside the slited line. Finally, cartilage was operated with Mustarde's mattres suture. Results 12 patients with flaring ear ( 14 ears) were corrected with this operating method and appearance of corrected ears were very good after operation. Following up for 6-18 months, no one recurred. Conclusion Otoplasty of slited cartilage is an effective method of correcting flaring ear.

BACKGROUND:Total knee arthroplasty for knee osteoarthritis accompanied with extra-articular deformity is stil chal enging. An individual replacement plan should be designed to obtain good mechanical axis and to recover suitable soft-tissue balance. OBJECTIVE:To observe the safety and feasibility of individual y designed one-stage total knee arthroplasty for knee osteoarthritis combined with ipsilateral femoral extra-articular deformity. METHODS:A total of eight patients with knee osteoarthritis combined with ipsilateral femoral extra-articular deformity were enrol ed in this study. According to preoperative plan, five patients underwent intra-articular compensatory osteotomy, and the remaining three received extra-articular corrective osteotomy. Multi-planar deformities as wel as soft-tissue conditions were recorded. Main outcome measures included the hospital for special surgery score, Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index score and alignments deviation. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The patients were averagely fol owed up for 29 months. The hospital for special surgery score changed from preoperative 32.5 points to postoperative 87.5 points. The Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index score was increased from preoperative 37.1 points to postoperative 88.8 points (P<0.05). Mean mechanical axis deviation (either varus or valgus) changed from preoperative 17.1° to postoperative 1.4° (P<0.05). Al cases with extra-articular corrective osteotomy healed within 3 months, and none had postoperative infection, loosening or venous thromboembolic events. One patient was with 5° residual knee anti-sheets. Results verified that one-stage total knee arthroplasty procedures are effective in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis accompanied with ipsilateral femoral extra-articular deformity in accordance with individual preoperative plan.
