To observe the analgesic effects of morphine and bupivacaine for the patient controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA) after prostatectomy. Methods: 21 patients after receiving prostatectomy were treated with PCEA including morphine and bupivacaine, and 24 patients were treated with routine analgesia as control. The effects of analgesia with visual analogue scale (VAS) were evaluated indirectly, and episodes of bl adder spasm were recoreded. Results: The effects of PCEA on postoperative analgesia and controlling bladder spasm were much better than that of routine analgesia. Conclusion: Effects of morphine and bupivacaine used in PCEA for post-prostatectomy analgesia are confirmed adm inistration is slimple. Because of their dosage is smalller and side effects are fewer, this treating protocol is beneficial for the recovery of the patients re ceiving prostatectomy.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of OLGA (Operative Link on Gastritis Assessment) system in pathological assessment of gastric mucosa from Chinese patients. Methods Endoscopic and pathological data of patients, who underwent the endoscopic examination of upper gastrointestinal tract from 2007 to 2012,were analyzed.Using the Sydney protocol,we graded atrophy and staged the Helicobacter pylori infection status in gastric biopsies from 108 patients with dyspepsia. We applied the OLGA system to assess the relationship between OLGA staging and grading and dysplasia/cancer,and the relationship between OLGA grading and Helicobacter pylori infection. Results Two cases of early gastric adenocarcinoma were detected at stage Ⅱ and Ⅳ,respectively. The detection rates of precancerous lesions (including intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia) in cases clustered in stages Ⅲ-Ⅳ were significantly higher than those in stages 0-Ⅱ (intestinal metaplasia:100.0% VS 65.3%,P <0.001 ;dysplasia:77.8% VS 13.9%,P <0.001,respectively),and there were significant differences between OLGA staging and the degree of dysplasia (r =0.671,P <0.001).In the subjects at stage 0-Ⅱ,we observed only 10 cases (13.9%) of mild dysplasia. The difference in rate of Helicobacter pylori infection was significant at different OLGA grade (P < 0.001),and the correlation between OLGA grading and infection degree of Helicobacter pylori was significant (r =0.586,P < 0.001).Conclusion Precancerous lesions and gastric adenocarcinoma tend to be discovered in patients clustered at high-risk (Ⅲ-Ⅳ) OLGA stages.OLGA staging of dysplasia can effectively differentiate the risks of gastric cancer. The OLGA grading system is consistently associated with the Helicobacter pylori infection.

Objective: To investigate the effect with its possible mechanisms of zacopride on vasodilatation of isolated coronary arterial rings in experimental rats.
Methods: The tension of vasodilatation of isolated coronary arterial rings of male SD rats was recorded by Powerlab and DMT system. The rats were divided into 4 groups: +Endo (vehicle) group, +Endo (zacopride) group and -Endo (vehicle) group, –Endo (zacopride) group.n=6 in each group. The vasodilatation effects of zacopride on KCl (60 mmol/L) and U46619 (10-6 mol/L) pre-constricted arterial ring were recorded; the effects of different agents on zacopride caused vasodilatation were studied.
Results: In both +Endo (zacopride) and –Endo (zacopride) groups, zacopride showed a dose dependent vasodilatation effect on coronary ring pre-constricted by KCl and U46619. The maximum vasodilatation effect of zacopride in KCl treated+Endo (zacopride) group was (90.15 ± 6.38) %, in U46619 treated-Endo (zacopride) group was (81.67 ± 4.97 ) %; the maximum vasodilatation effect of zacopride in KCl treated-Endo (zacopride) group was (85.48±5.04) %, in U46619 treated–Endo (zacopride) group was (79.65 ± 3.51) %, compared to each corresponding vehicle group, allP<0.05. The inhibitor of IK1 channel, BaCl2 could signiifcantly reduce the vasodilatation effect of zacopride in KCl and U46619 pre-constricted coronary ring,P<0.05. However, the inhibitor of eNOS (L-NAME), the blocker of KCa channel (TEA), blocker of Kv channel (4-AP) and blocker of KATP channel (Glib) had no such signiifcant effects, allP>0.05.
Conclusion: Zacopride had vasodilatation effect on coronary arterial ring which was pre-constricted by KCl and U46619, which might be related to the channel of IK1.

(DBI) in rats by observation on the changes of Homer 1a expression and apoptotic nerve cells . Methods Spraque-Dawlley(SD) rats were randomly ( random number ) divided into control group and severe DBI group .DBI rat model was established according to the de-scription of Marmarou′s diffused brain injury .No injury was done on control group .The changes of neuron pathology were observed by light microscopy and electron microscope .The expression of Homer1a was observed by immunohistochemistry and western blot .The quan-tity of apoptotic cells was measured by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transfernase medicated nick end labeling ( TUNEL) method. Results The death rate of rats in severe DBI group was 49.3%.Compared with the control group , the ultrastructures in hippocampal neurons in-cluding organelle , axonal and capillary were damaged seriously after injury , the survival rate of nerve cells decreased significantly at 1 h after injury ([99.4 ±0.6]%vs [94.4 ±5.6]%, P<0.05), and peaked at 72 h ([99.2 ±0.8]%vs [54.7 ±33.8]%, P<0 .05) in DBI group. The expression of Homer1a protein increased significantly at 1 h after injury(0 .136 ±0.024 )and peaked at6 h(0.178 ± 0.028) and maintained to 24 h (0.176 ±0.027), while decreased at 48 h (0.145 ±0.02)and 72 h (0.117 ±0.012) in DBI group;the expression of Homer 1a was obviously higher at each time point in DBI group than that in control group (P <0.05).The apoptoticindex of TUNEL positive cells increased at 6 h and demonstrated significant difference at 72h in comparison to control group ([41.78 ±3 .96]%vs [1.92 ±0.22]%, P<0.05).The correlation analysis indicated that Homer1a expression from 1~24 h and 24 h~72 h was related to the survival rate of nerve cells ( r=-0.726, P<0.05; r=0.842, P<0.05) and the quantity of TUNE positive cells(r=0.738, P<0.0;5 r=-0.898, P<0.05). Conclusion The dynamic expression of Homer1a in hippocampus after severe DBI can reflect nerve cell loss.
