1.High salt intake and bone metabolism

Osteoporosis has become a global public health problem, and dietary interventions may potentially be helpful in preventing this disorder.Salt ( sodium chloride) is one of the most important dietary nutrients.High sodium chloride intake may play an important role in bone metabolism.In this paper, we reviewed the effects of high sodium chlo-ride intake on bone mineral density, bone mineral content and bone biochemical markers, and analyzed the possible causes through currently available literature.Although there are a few inconsistencies results, we conclude a long-term high salt intake can reduce bone density or bone mineral content, change many biochemical markers of bone resorption, which may be caused mainly by increasing urinary calcium excretion and a low-grade metabolic acidosis.However, there are still many unclear aspects need further exploration.
2.Investigation on ABO,Rh blood group distribution among 72 928 blood donors in Baoshan city

Objective To understand the blood ABO,Rh blood group distribution of the main nationalities in Baoshan city to set up the local rare blood group donors archives for meeting the voluntary blood donor recruitment and the need of clinical blood use. Methods The ABO,Rh were detected by the microplate method.124 RhD negative individuals were extracted and screened for C/c,E/e by the test tube method.Results Among 7 main ethnic groups with blood donor,the ABO blood group distribution of Han, Yi,Bai,Lisu and Hui nationalities were A>O>B>AB;which in Brown and Dai nationalities were O>B>A>AB;the Rh negative ratio was 0.33% in Han,0.35% in Yi,0.09% in Bai,0.00% in Brown,0.32% in Lisu,0.21% in Dai,0.18% Hui;the Rh pheno-types were mainly ccdee (60.5%),Ccdee (33.1 %),CCdee (4.0%)and ccdEe (2.4%).Conclusion The distribution rate of ABO blood group in Han,Yi,Bai,Lisu,Hui blood donors in Baoshan was consistent with the distribution of Han population in China;Brown and Dai are different from Han in China;the Rh negative frequency is 0.00%-0.35%,which reflects the regional and na-tional characteristics of blood group distribution in baoshan city.
3.A Preliminary Study on Cultivation Test of Protoplast Fusion Strain of Fulin (Poria cocos)

Rcsult of field cultivation test by protoplastic fusion technique for biological cngln ering breeding of Poria cocos in Huoshan county, Anhui Province was reported for the first time. A fusion strain F1 was obtained from parents P1, P6578 by separation, fusion, marker of hypha protoplast and identification of recombinat. It was cultivated simultaneously with P1, P5778 for comparison. Results showed that the average cellal outputs were 1.73, 0.5 and 2.20kg respectively.As the output of strain F1 is intermediate between its parent P1 and P578, the result is considered to be unsatisfactory. The reason for such result was discussed.
4.The role of vitamin D in rheumatoid arthritis

Vitamin D deficiency is highly prevalent in the general population including rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients.Autocrine regulation of vitamin D modulates important immune response.Vitamin D deficiency may be involved in the pathogenesis of many autoimmune diseases including RA.Vitamin D regulates both the innate and adaptive immune responses.Vitamin D's effects on the innate immune system are mainly through the toll-like receptor and on the adaptive immune system through T cell differentiation,particularly the Helper T cell (Th) 17 response.As Thl7 cells are critical in the pathogenesis in RA,what effect will vitamin D deficiency lead to on the RA? Many data have indicated the relationship between vitamin D deficiency and RA disease activities,but not all the results are consistent.Here,we review the immune-modulatory roles of vitamin D and its effects on disease activity,osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease risk in RA.
5.Comparison of characteristics of connective tissue disease-associated interstitial lung diseases and ;idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

Objective To compare the characteristics of connective tissue disease-associated interstitial lung disease (CTD-ILD) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(IPF). Methods Patients with a diagnosis of ILD from June 2014 to December 2015 were selected in this study and patients with known other causes of ILD were excluded. The clinical manifestation, autoantibody, high resolution chest computed tomography (CT) and blood gas analysis were retrospectively analyzed. Results Six hundred and twenty-eight patients were included in this study. The prevalence of CTD-ILD and IPF were 459 (73.09%) and 169(26.91%) respectively. The age in IPF group was higher than that in CTD-ILD group:(67.10 ± 13.13) years vs. (52.10 ± 14.23) years, and there was significant difference (t =-10.092, P =0.000). The rate of male in IPF group was higher than that in CTD-ILD group: 75.15%(127/169) vs. 28.32%(130/459), and there was significant difference (P=0.000). Autoantibodies were commonly seen in CTD-ILD group and only antinuclear antibody, and anti-SSA antibody and anti-Ro-52 antibody were seen in IPF group. The most common chest images were honeycombing, bullae of lung and pneumonectasis in CTD-ILD group, while the presence of consolidation and small nodular shadow were more common in IPF group. The concurrence of respiratory failure was higher in IPF group compared with that in CTD-ILD group:49.11%(83/169) vs. 13.07%(60/459), and there was significant difference (P<0.01). Conclusions Patients with CTD-ILD and IPF possess distinct characteristics. Overall assessment of clinical manifestation, autoantibody serology, high resolution chest CT and other indicator will be conducive to the differential diagnosis and treatment of ILD.

Objective To investigate and analyse the current situation and the factors impacting nursing soft skills in order to provide targeted advice to improve students′ nursing soft skills .Methods Totally 1 000 student nurses were investigated by the nursing soft skills scale and the self‐designed questionnaire .Results First ,there was no differences between the nursing soft skill of students and the national new nurses(P> 0 .05) .But the students′ organizational management and cognitive skills were lower than that of national new nurses(P< 0 .05) .Second ,class leader ,familiarity and fancy for nursing science were the main factors impac‐ting nursing soft skills(P< 0 .05) .Third ,the students′ organizational management and cognitive skills had an increasing trend fol‐lowing the extent of familiarity and fancy for nursing science(P< 0 .05) .Conclusion Education management institution and nursing schools should try to make some reform mearsure to improve students′ nursing soft skills .
9.Effect of low 1evel laser treatment on metabolic control and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein of type 2 diabetes mellitus combined chronic peridontitis patients

Objective To investigate the effect of low 1evel laser treatment (LLLT) on periodontal clinical index,high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and metabolic control in patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus combined chronic peridontitis.Methods Nighty patients with type 2 diabetes combined chronic peridontitis were divided into three groups:initial periodontal therapy (group A),initial therapy combined with LLLT (group B) and control group (group C).The periodontal clinical parameters including periodontal probing depth (PD),clinical attachment loss (CAL),sulcus bleeding index (SBI),hs-CRP,HbA1c and fasting blood glucose (FBG) were tested before and at three months after therapy.Results The periodontal clinical parameters (PD,CAL,SBI) and hsCRP in group A and B improved significantly compared with that of group C after therapy (P<0.05),with group B had more significant difference (P<0.01).For the levels of HbA1c and FPG,group A and B showed downtrend,and more obvious outcome was detected in group B (P<0.05).Conclusions LLLT can effectively improve periodontal status,hs-CRP levels and metabolic control of patients with type 2 diabetes combined with chronic peridontitis,and thus to prevent the occurrence of diabetes complications.
10.Effect of Yigu capsule drug-containing serum on apoptosis and tartrate resistant acid phosphatase secretion in rat osteoclasts

AIM: The effects of Yigu capsule on tartrate resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) secretion and apoptosis in rat osteoclasts were investigated in order to further explore its mechanism of preventing and treating osteoporosis. METHODS: (1) Twenty-month-old Sprague-daweley rats were randomly divided into two groups(Yigu capsule group and saline group), and the drug-containing serum and control serum were prepared. (2) The newborn Sprague-daweley rat osteoclasts were cultured with different concentrations of Yigu capsule drug-containing serum. At different time point, TRAP activity was measured and the survival osteoclast was counted under reverse microscope.The percentage of osteoclast apoptosis was observed under fluorescence microscope after acridine orange staining.
