ObjectiveTo explore the influence of electrical stimulation on nervous cells.MethodsOn 5th day the brain primitive nervous cells of rat brain, in vitro culturing, were divided into 4 groups, in order of control group, electrical pole control group, low stimulation group, and high stimulation group. The cells were stimulated with electro-acupuncture apparatus for 7 days, 30 minutes once, twice a day. On 10th day, the cells were observed microscopically for 3 days and taken photos.ResultsElectrical stimulation is helpful to raise the survival rate of cell. Conclusions Electrical stimulation influences morphological change of nervous cells during culturing.

ObjectiveTo study the effects of aqueous extract of Trigonella foenum-graecum(AET) on the blood glucose in normal and alloxan(ALX)-diabetic mice.MethodsFasting blood glucose and glucose tolerance in normal and ALX-diabetic mice were measured respectively 7 days after AET had been given.ResultsAET had not significantly effected the fasting blood glucose of normal mice, but improved their glucose toleranc. Otherwise, AET reduced fasting blood glouse of diabetic mice induced by ALX significantly.ConclusionAET can be used on treatment of diabetes mellitus.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of intraductal ulstrasonography(IDUS)in non-opaque bile duct stones. Methods Between January 2009 and August 2010 in the Department of Gastroenterology at Shanghai 10th People's Hospital,a total of 183 patients(male:102 cases, mean age 69 years; female:81 cases, mean age 71 years)were enrolled, who were suspected of bile duct stones or stenosis which could not be diagnosed by abdominal CT,MRI,and abdominal B-mode ultrasound. All the patients underwent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP)first, and then patients with non-opaque bile duct stones followed by IDUS.Results A total of 134 cases (73.2%)of bile duct stones were diagnosed by ERCP,49 cases(26.8%)were negative. And then the 49 patients underwent IDUS,of whom 24 patients with sand-like stones,11 patients with lowdensity stones,6 patients with ampullary cancer,2 patients with pancreatic cancer,6 patients with sclerosing cholangitis. The diagnostic accuracy of IDUS in the position and quality of bile duct stones was 100%,higher than that of ERCP,which was 80%.After ERCP,pancreatitis occurred in 3 patients and improved after conservative treatment, there was no complications like perforation and bleeding. Conclusion The diagnostic accuracy of IDUS in the position and quality of bile duct stones is high, which can make up for the misdiagnosis by ERCP without increasing the complications.IDUS can provide reliable basis for the diagnosis of clinical bile duct stones.

Objective To synthesize glycylproline p-nitroanilide tosylate as a substrate for glycylprolyl dipeptidyl-aminopeptidase(GPDA),and to study its clinical application. Methods The title compound was prepared by DCC-HOBt synthesis.GPDA in human serum was detected by continuous monitoring method using substrate. Results The substrate with purity of 98.5% was obtained. The linearity of the method was up to 358.1 U/L.Intraassay CV and interassay CV of GPDA in diverse serum samples were 3.01% and 5.04%,respectively.It was shown that GPDA level in patients with hepatic cancer was significantly increased, while those in patients with gastric carcinoma and chronic gastritis were significantly decreased compared with that in the control group in clinical detecting(P

Thrombus is a major factor leading to cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction and stroke. Although fibrinolytic anti-thrombotic drugs have been widely used in clinical practice, they are still limited by narrow therapeutic windows, short half-lives, susceptibility to inactivation, and abnormal bleeding caused by non-targeting. Therefore, it is crucial to effectively deliver thrombolytic agents to the site of thrombus with minimal adverse effects. Based on the long blood circulation and excellent drug-loading properties of human serum albumin (HSA), we employed genetic engineering techniques to insert a functional peptide (P-selectin binding peptide, PBP) which can target the thrombus site to the

Objective To understand the current situation of occupational exposure and occupational safety attitudes among nursing students in Kunming Medical University, and to find effective interventions to improve nurses' occupational safety, and to reduce occupational exposure. Methods 854 students in Kunming Medical University were investigated by a questionnaire survey, including Demographic characteristics, Occupational exposure conditions, Occupational safety attitude and Gathers, quit intention . The correlations between occupational safety attitudes and occupational exposure were analyzed with Simple Linear Correlation. Results There were 94.30%female respondents, and only 5.70%male respondents. The average age of respondents was 22.52±2.90 years. The Simple Linear Correlation analysis showed that correlation between Negative attitude and occupational exposure was positive correlated, the occupational exposure and Support from managers, and Optimistic were negative correlation ( <0.05) .Conclusions Occupational safety and attitude are related to occupational exposure. Nursing students should apply standardized operation to improve the professional quality and ability. Schools should strengthen the education of occupational protection for nursing students. Hospital management should regularly organize nurses to study occupational exposure protection knowledge, give full affirmation of the nurse's achievements in the work, and offer certain reward appropriately.
