Objective To study on the effect of health promotion on the prognosis of patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI)combined with diabetes. Methods 104 patients of AMI complicated with diabetes were:randomly divided into the control and the experimental groups with 52 cases in each group. Two groups were conferred fixed medicine and other clinical interventions as well as programmed education during their hospitalization. After discharge.the experimental group continued to implement health promotion for six months'follow-up.After six months, the fasting blood glucose, postprandial blood glucose, triglyceride, cholesterol, clinic cost, level of knowledge and behavior were compared between the two groups after six months. Results after six months, there was significant difference between two groups in blood glucose, postprandial blood glucose, triglyceride, cholesterol clinic cost, level of knowledge and behavior(P<0.05).Rate of readmission and mortality rate were not stanstically different(P>0.05).Conclusions Health promotion can improve capital clinical index of the patients, decrease the cost and promote the life quality of patients.

AIM: To study the efficacy and adverse reactions of carnitine on patients with acute cerebral infarction. METHODS: One hundred and thirty-five patients with acute cerebral infarction diagnosed by CT or MRI were randomly divided into 2 groups, on the basis of conventional therapy. Sixty-eight patients in carnitine group (M37,F31; age 60 a± s 17 a) received carnitine 2-3g, iv, drip, qd for 28 d. The other 67 patients of control group (M39, F28; age 63 a±17 a) received compound salvia miltirrhiza 20 mL in dextran-40 glucose injection 500 mL, iv, drip, qd for 28 d. RESULTS: The total effective rates of carnitine group and control group for acute cerebral infarction were 80% and 55%, respectively (P<0.05). No adverse reactions were found. CONCLUSION: Carnitine is safe and effective in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction.

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(04):-
Objective To explore the relationship between dietary factors and female breast cancer. Methods A 1∶1 matched case-control study was conducted in 175 cases with histopathological diagnosis and 175 matched controls(Apr.2004 to Jul.2005), a questionnaire about general information and dietary intakes over 10 years was used in the present investigation. Results The univariate conditional analysis showed that high intake times of fruits, vegetables and soybean food were the protective factors and the relationship between intake frequencies of fruits, vegetables and soybean food intake and breast cancer showed a dose-response manner. The multivariate analysis showed that psychological hurt was the risk factors, high vegetables and soybean food intake and more delivery times were the protective factors. Conclusion High intake times of vegetables and soybean food are the protective factors for female breast cancer.

The clinic diagnoses, autopsy and ultrastructure of anterior pitutary ot a case or progeria was reported. In electron microscopic study, some pathological changes of the somatotropes were observed. The rough-surfaced endoplasmic reticulum of these cells showed significan, difference in their form, which seemed to be characteristic for this disease.Based on the results obtained in this case of progeria, it is suggested that the functional disturbance of endoplasmic reticulum might be the cause of disease.

To study the value of the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma with B ultrasonographic located radiofrequency ablation(RFA).Methods: The radiofrequency multielectrodes were inserted into the hepatic carcinoma with B ultrasonographic locating.RFA was applied with the power from 50W up to 90W. RFA scope was 1cm out of the margin of the tumor mass in three dimension. After RFA treatment, the AFP level changes and the B ultrasonography, computed tomography (CT), biopsy of the liver and hepato arterioangiography were observed. Results: One month after RFA treatment ,in those with abnormal AFP level AFP falled to normal in 18/20 patients, the volume of the tumor mass were enlarged in 9 patients, not changed in 8 patients and decreased in the others at CT and/or ultrasonography. The alive cancer cells in the margin of the tumor mass were found in 1/6 patients at biopsy. The scattering bloodstream in the carcinoma was showed in 1/8 patients on hepato arteriography. After three months, the volume of the tumor was remarkably decreased in 25 patients. Conclusion: The results suggests that RFA appears to ablate hepatic carcinoma effectively as suitable method mastered.

Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) with clustered electrodes in the treatment of unresectable large primary liver cancer. Methods Under the guidance of ultrasonography, Percutaneous and intraoperative RFA was performed in 38 patients and 5 patients, respectively. Additional ablation could be conducted if residual tumor or recurrence was found after the primary treatment. Results A total of 62 times of RFA, with a mean of 6 foci every treatment, were completed in the 43 patients, in whom the mean diameter of tumor was 7 3 cm. AFP levels had decreased to normal in 18/32 patients (56 3%) whose preoperative AFP levels were above 400 ?g/L. Postoperative CT examinations indicated that the tumor was completely ablated in 33/43 patients (76 7%). Frequent complications included fever, local pain, and liver impairment. No severe complications or treatment-related deaths were seen. The 1-year survival rate was 79 3% (23/29). Conclusions RFA with clustered electrodes in the treatment of unresectable large liver cancer can produce extensive coagulation necrosis of tumor, being a safe and effective therapeutic method. It is breaking fresh ground in the management of unresectable large

10 years) groups. The form and function of ventricle were measured. And the blood pressure, hemoglobin, plasma albumin,pre-albumin,lipid,C responsive protein, calcium, phosphate and parathyroid hormone before dialysis were determined. Results The cardiac output(CO) of 1~2 years group was the highest. The left ventricular end-systolic and end-diastolic dimension(LVEDd/s)and left ventricular mass index(LVMI)of ≤1 year group were the lowest. With the increase of the dialysis ages, the blood pressure and the proportion of diabetes patients and those with LVH decreased, but the hemoglobin, plasma albumin,pre-albumin,calcium,phosphate and parathyroid hormone increased, while the CRP decreased. Conclusion With the increase of the dialysis ages, the left ventricular function of the uremic hemodialysis patients improves, which is probably associated with the improvement of anemia, malnutrition and inflammation.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(05):-
As a non-pungency inhaled agent with less respiratory irritation, sevoflurane has been widely used in various surgeries for induction and maintenance of general anesthesia. However, the incidence of pediatric emergence delirium has been significantly increased with sevoflurane general anesthesia which severely disturbs the surgical effect and increases the requirement of medical staff in post anesthesia care unit. This article systematically reviews the research advance in emergence delirium in children with sevoflurane general anesthesia and introduces the reasonable intervention for the improvement of anesthesia quality.
