Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion 2017;30(7):687-689
Objective To establish a reference range for the normal value of thromboelastography (TEG) in pregnant females. Methods According to the results of pregnancy and physical examination,166 pregnant females and 64 healthy females without pregnancy were selected as the pregnant group and the non-pregnant control group, respectively. The TEG value and the traditional coagulation index were measured. The TEG parameters of the two groups were compared and analyzed, establishing a reference range for the parameters. We further analyzed the effect of full-term pregnancy on TEG results and the correlation between traditional coagulation index and TEG test results. Results The traditional coagulation index and TEG test results of the pregnant females andthe non-pregnant females were significantly different.According to the results,a new TEG reference range was established:R 3.9-7.5 min,K 1.0-2.4 min,α 57.6°-74.9°,MA 55.7-75.7 mm,LY30 0-0.56%,CI(-0.97)-3.6.Full-term pregnancy had no significant effect on TEG results. In addition to LY30,other parameters of TEG had some correlation with the traditional coagulation index. Conclusions The general TEG reference range does not apply to pregnant females and established TEG normal reference range for pregnant females can be applied for clinical use.

7. Simultaneous determination of piperine and piperlonguminine in Mongolian medicine Tonglaga-5 by HPLC
Journal of International Pharmaceutical Research 2013;40(1):108-110
Objective To establish a method for simultaneous determination of pipeline and piperlonguminine n Mongolian medicine Tonglaga-5 by HPLC. Methods The Chromatographie separation was carried out at room emperature on a C18 ODS Hypersil Thermo Dim column (250 mm ×4. 6 mm,5 μm) using acetonitrile and water(50: 50) as he mobile phase. The flow rate was 1 ml/ min and he injection volume was 20 μl. The analytes were detected at 230 nm. Results The calibration curves showed good linearity n he concentration ranges of pipeline 4-80 μg/ml (r = 0. 9992) and piperlonguminine 0. 25 - 12. 5 μ,g/ml (r = 0. 999), respectivey. The average recoveries of pipeline and piperlonguminine were 99. 6% and 98. 5% Conclusion The method s simple, accurate and can be used for the quality control of Tonglaga-5.

Abstract: Objective To explore the correlation between lung function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β) levels in exhaled breath condensate (EBC), and to provide a convenient methodological basis for the diagnosis and treatment of COPD and the determination of its efficacy. Methods A total of 81 COPD patients and 40 healthy controls were selected from the respiratory department of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from August 2020 to February 2022 as the research subjects. The COPD patients were divided into 41 cases in the acute exacerbation group and 40 cases in the remission group according to their status. All participants underwent lung function detection, venous blood and EBC collection, and the levels of TNF-α and IL-1β in EBC and venous blood were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and correlation analysis was performed by Pearson correlation analysis method. Results The levels of TNF-α and IL-1β in EBC of in the acute exacerbation group, the healthy control group, the remission group were (5.16±0.18) pg/μL and (7.75±0.27) pg/μL, (2.66±0.31) pg/μL and (2.41±0.24) pg/μL, (3.61±0.29) pg/μL and (3.17±0.38) pg/μL, respectively. Compared with the healthy control group, the levels of TNF-α and IL-1β in EBC in the COPD acute exacerbation group were significantly higher than those in the healthy control group and the COPD remission group (F=9.451, 8.217, P<0.001). Serum tests were consistent with this result. Correlation analysis showed that the levels of TNF-α and IL-1β in EBC were significantly positively correlated with the level of serum inflammation levels (P<0.001), while significantly negatively correlated with lung function (P<0.001). Conclusions TNF-α and IL-1β in EBC are potential biomarkers of inflammation in patients with COPD, and their detection can be used to effectively assess lung function in patients with COPD.

Objective To identify the effect of specialized language training on the speech rehabilitation of total laryngectomy (TL)patients. Methods Twenty-seven TL patients were trained for esophageal speech by specialized speech-language pathologists from October 2005 to December 2006.Then the participants were followed and evaluated their esophageal speech level after one cycle of training program,1 month,3 months,6 months and 12 months after training program. Results The score of participants' esophageal speech was steadily improved during the 12 months after participating the training program. The score of esophageal speech greatly increased in the third month, and this significant improvement was kept until 12 months after the training program. The esophageal speech quality was negatively correlated with age and surgery area of patients. Conclusions Specialized speech-language training showed positive effect on esophageal speech rehabilitation, and esophageal speech training by specialists is worthy of wide application.

Objective To investigate the levels of platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB) and its role in the pathogenesis of the patients with hepatic diseases. Methods The levels of serum PDGF-BB in 30 chronic patients (hepatitis B,26; hepatitis C,4),24 patients with post-hepatitis cirrhosis,30 patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma, and 20 normal controls were measured by ELISA.The levels of PDGF-B mRNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells were measured by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).Results The serum levels of PDGF-BB and the levels of PDGF-B mRNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells were significantly higher in the patients with hepatic diseases (F=1774.40,1037.42,P
