Poly(U)-binding-splicing factor 60 KDa (PUF60), a U2-related splicing factor that facilitates 3′splice-site recognition at the early stage of spliceosome assembly.High expression of PUF60 is related to the occurrence of multiple tumors, such as colorectal cancer, ovarian cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer, et al.PUF60 can regulate the expression of c-myc through the core-human transcription factor Ⅱ basal transcription factor.Anti-PUF60 antibodies are detected in the sera of patients with early-stage and recurrent tumor, and the levels are significantly decreased after the operation.PUF60 can be used as a combined or independent test index for the diagnosis of cancer, which can be a potential new target for gene therapy.

Breast cancer stem cells (BCSC) are group of cells exhibiting self-renewal and multi-directional differentiation potentials. These cells have an important role in the occurrence, development, metastasis, and recurrence of breast cancer. In normal circumstances, the ability of mammary stem cells to differentiate and undergo self-renewal is governed by related signaling pathways. After this mechanism is destroyed, breast stem cells undergo abnormal differentiation, forming breast cancer stem cells that unlimitedly proliferate to develop into breast cancer. As research on BCSC increasingly deepens, regulation of BCSC by notch signaling and its crosstalk with several signaling pathways have drawn a great deal of attention in this field. This paper reports the signaling pathways of breast cancer stem cells and latest studies on this field to better understand the essential role of notch signaling pathway in the occurrence and development of breast cancer and corresponding clinical targeted therapy.

Objective To confirm the expression of Aquaporin2,3,4(AQP2,3,4,water channel protein) in rats'endolymphatic sacs(ES)and kidneys and to investigate and to compare the effects of anti-diuretic hormone(AVP) and DDAVP([deamino-Cys1,D-Arg8]-Vasopressin,V2-receptor agonist)on the expression of AQP2 in rats' ESs and kidneys.Methods 30 healthy Swards white rats were divided into the negative control,AVP group and dDAVP group respectively.The animals were cardiacally perfused.The temporal bones and kidneys were taken out and sectioned by means of the paraffin-embedded technique.The sections of ESs were labeled with fluorescent antibody by immunohistochemical method,and the kidneys' with avidin-biotin-peroxidase complex method(ABC).The expressions of AQP-2 were confirmed in the ESs of the rats while the different effects of the AVP and DDAVP on the ESs and the kidneys were observed.The slides used were analyzed by the image-analyzer and the subsequent data were statistically studied.Results In the cytomembrane and cytoplasm of ESs' epithelia,the constant and clear fluorescent reaction could be observed in the normal control group with the first antibody of AQP2.Significant feeble fluorescent reaction of the first antibody of AQP-2 was revealed in AVP group and DDAVP group.In comparison with the control group,significant stain was found in AVP group and DDAVP group.Noted were also lower gray(P

Objective The purpose of the study was to clarify the reasons that may explain the families' non-disclosure of the truthful information to cancer patients in our medical background.Methods The study included 82 family members of cancer patients who was not told truthful diagnosis by convenience sampling.Data were analyzed by Bernard Berelson's content analysis.Results 13 categories and 7 themes were formulated,including avoiding,concerns,judgment,buffer,cognition,impact and endurance.The agreement rates were 75.2％ and 78.7％.Conclusions The families' non-disclosure of truthful information to cancer patients was a kind of avoiding behavior,the judgment of families impacted their attitude towards telling or not.

Objective To increase the awareness of lung cancer complicating thrombosis disease(TD).Methods From 1995 to 2004 18 cases of lung cancer with TD were retrospectively reviewed in the Second Hospital Affiliated to China Medical University.Results Of the 18 cases,there were 7 cases complicated with deep venous thrombosis(DVT);3 cases with pulmonary thromboembolism(PTE);4 cases with DVT and PTE;4 cases with nonbacterial thrombotic endocarditis(NBTE).5 cases with DVT and(or)PTE occurred 2～6 months before detection of lung cancer,3 cases of NBTE had brain and peripheral artery embolism 2～7 months before detection of lung cancer.Conclusion TD could be warning a sign indicating advanced lung cancer.

Chinese medicine has certain advantages in treating the disease of children ADHD which caused by brain dysfunction. Accordingly, the tonifying kidney and replenishing essence treatment principle was established, and YiZhiNingShen granule was made which had been conf irmed effectively by clinical and experimental research.
