Objective To determine ursolic acid in Shanzhajing Jiangzhi Tablets by HPLC method. Method Chromatographic column was Kromasil C18 (4.6 mm?200 mm, 5 ?m). The Mobile phase was methanol- 0.15% phosphoric acid (88∶12), and the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min. Detection wavelength was 215 nm. Column temperature was room temperature. Results Ursolic acid quantity and its peak area showed good linearity relationship in the range of 0.253~5.052 ?g. The correlation coefficient (r ) was 0.9998 (n=6). The average recovery was 100.37% and RSD was 1.88%. Conclusion The method is easy and accurate, with good sensitivity and repeatability. It is a good method to control the quality of Shanzhajing Jiangzhi Tablets.

Objective To investigate the incidence of aspirin resistance (AR) in patients with Type Ⅱ Diabetes mellitus (DM) and the correlation between AR and advanced glycosylation end products (AGEs) as well as the homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR). Methods A total of 69 patients with Type Ⅱ DM and another 23 patients without DM as control group were enrolled between October 2009 and July 2010. Blood lipid, blood routine, fasting blood glucose, Glycated hemoglobin (GHb/Hb A1c) ,fasting insulin were determined at first. After aspirin treatment for at least 7 days, platelet aggregation stimulated by arachidonic acid(AA) and adenosine diphosphate (ADP) were measured. In addition, the level of serum AGEs was measured by using ELISA assay. The degree of insulin resistance was obtained by using HOMA-IR. Results The incidence of AR in patients with Type Ⅱ DM was higher than that in the controls(30.4% vs. 8.7%, P = 0.037 ); the levels of serum AGEs and HOMA-IR in patients with Type Ⅱ DM were higher than those in the controls [ (359.56 ± 120. 14) pg/mL vs. (275.45 ± 118.06)pg/mL, P=0. 004; (4.42 ±4.78) vs. ( 1.5 ±0.78), P<0.01, respectively]; platelet aggregation stimulated by AA in the diabetic group was correlated with serum AGEs and HOMA-IR( R =0.463, P <0.01; R=0.290, P =0.016, respectively); and platelet aggregation stimulated by ADP was only positively correlated with HOMA-IR(R =0.242, P = 0.045). Conclusions The incidence of AR in patients with Type Ⅱ Diabetes mellitus is higher than that in the controls, and diabetics with higher serum AGEs and HOMA-IR are more likely to develop aspirin resistant.

Objective:To study the relationship between CYP4F2 gene polymorphism and coronary heart disease (CHD) in Mongolia patients ,and investigate clinical characteristics of these patients . Methods:All subjects received questionnaire . Gene amplification and genotyping were performed in 234 Mongolian CHD patients (CHD group) and 221 non-CHD pa‐tients (normal control group) using high temperature ligase detection reaction technique .The relationship between Mongo‐lian CHD and CYP4F2 gene polymorphisms of two single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) sites (rs1558139 ,rs2108622) was analyzed .Results:Compared with normal control group ,there were significant rise in percentages of male (41.18% vs . 67.95% ) ,smoking history (32.13% vs .41.88% ) ,body mass index [BMI ,(21.66 ± 4.53 ) kg/m2 vs .(25.34 ± 5.37 ) kg/m2 ] and triglyceride level [ (1.66 ± 0.90) mmol/L vs .(1.92 ± 1.38) mmol/L] ,and significant reduction in level of high density lipoprotein cholesterol [ (1.18 ± 0.28) mmol/L vs .(1.07 ± 0.29) mmol/L] in CHD group , P<0.05 or <0.01.There were no significant difference in genotype and allele frequencies of rs 1558139 and rs2108622 between two groups . Conclusion:Clinical characteristics of Mongolian CHD patients include high male percentage ,smoking history ,high body mass index and high triglyceride level .CYP4F2 gene polymorphisms of rs1558139 and rs2108622 are not related to coronary heart disease in Mongolian patients .

Objective To observe effect of hemiplegic gymnastics on motor function and activities of daily living(ADL)of stroke patients. Methods 60 stroke patients were randomly divided into the rehabilitation group and hemiplegic gymnastics group with 30 cases in each group. All patients of two groups received conventional physical therapy and occupational therapy training, using neural technology for development. The course was eight weeks. At same time the patients of the gymnastics group also received hemiplegic gymnastics treatment. Before and after treatment, all patients of the two groups were assessed with Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA)for motor function and Modified Barthel Index(MBI)for ADL respectively. The changes of FMA and MBI scores of patients in two groups were compared. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in FMA and MBI scores between two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the FMA and MBI scores of the patients in the gymnastics group were superior to that of the rehabilitation group(P<0.01).Conclusion Hemiplegic gymnastics combined with conventional rehabilitation training can improve motor function and ADL of stroke patients.
