1.An experimental study on the ultrastructural changes and IGF-1 expression in skeletal muscles of rat after endurance training

Objective To study the adaptability of rat' skeletal muscle to medium load on endurance training. Methods 40 male Wistar rats were used in an upward-slope running with medium load. Then the ultrastructural changes of the soleus muscle and IGF-1 expression in different training stages were observed. Results The pathologic change of muscular tissues suggested that there was kinesic injury in rat soleus muscle, and the injury happened most seriously in the third week, when muscle structure experienced a relative 'fragile' period. At the same time, there was an obvious increase of IGF-1 in muscular tissues, which indicated that the muscle started to repair of itself immediately after injury. The abnormity rate of Z-cure and IGF-1 level began to decline gradually after 4 weeks, meanwhile the pathologic change reduced. Conclusion After been injured, the pathologic changes of muscle underwent a course of going serious then reducing accompanied with the reparation. The fact indicated that rat skeletal muscle showed a good adaptability to the injury accumulation.
2.An experimental study of the change of aerobic ability in rat skeletal muscle after intensified cyclic training

Objective To compare the effectiveness of running training, swimming training and intensified cyclic training by means of morphometry and to determine the most effective training mode to develop the aerobic ability of the skeletal muscle. study the adaptability of rat skeletal muscle to different endurance training modes. Methods Twenty-five healthy male Wistar rats of 8 weeks old were divided into five groups, 10 of them having no exercise be divided into control group 1 and control group 2, others took part in running exercise, swimming exercise and intensified cyclic exercise respectively. The rats in control group1 were killed at the beginning of the exercise. The free activity group was taken as the control group 2, the rats were not given any interventions, they could move freely in the cage and be killed at the end of the exercise (n=5). The rats in running group were forced to take part in an upward-slope (+5?) running task of medium load, the rats should kept running at the speed of 16m per minute for 45 minutes. The rats in swimming group were forced to keep swimming in the pool for 45 minutes, The rats in intensified cyclic group were kept running for 30 minutes (the running mode was same to the running group), then had a rest for 15 minutes, and at last the rats were forced to keep swimming in the pool for 30 minutes. The rats in training groups were trained for 6 days every week with 1-day rest for 8 continuous weeks. We observed the change of aerobic ability of the soles muscle in different training modes. Results The three kinds of endurance training developed the aerobic metabolism ability of skeletal muscle in rats effectively. The intensified cyclic training can do better than swimming training and running training in promoting remodeling reconstruction of skeletal muscle, and developing the muscle, function. Conclusion The intensified cyclic training can shorten the period of remodeling reconstruction of skeletal muscle, and more effective in developing the aerobic ability of the skeletal muscle than other endurance training modes.
3.Effects of radiation from ~(188) Re on smooth muscle cell proliferation

AIM: Although endovascular radiotherapy inhibits neointimal hyperplasia, the exact alterations induced by ?-particles irradiation remain to be elucidated. The objective of this study was to investigate the ability and the cellular mechanism of local ?-particles emission from 188 Re to inhibit vascular smooth muscle cells (SMCs).METHODS: The SMCs in vitro were irradiated by 188 Re with single doses of 2.6 Gy-25.8 Gy. The effects of ?-particles on SMCs, such as effective irradiate doses, the period of inhibition for SMCs proliferation, the changes of cell proliferation rate and DNA synthesis rate, cell cycle progression and related gene expression, were investigated by cell count,-TdR incorporation, cell cycle progression analysis, cell viability and immunocytochemistry, respectivecy.RESULTS: ?-particles irradiation with dose of 5.2 Gy could inhibit significantly SMCs proliferation. At dose of 20.6 Gy DNA synthesis inhibitory rate was 92%, SMCs proliferation rate was only 3%. Renoval of 188 Re did not abolish the inhibitory effects of ?-particles on SMCs proliferation. The expression of P53 was up regulation and PCNA was down regulation after irradiation. CONCLUSION: ?-particles from 188 Re was significantly effective and permanent in inhibiting SMCs proliferation, and inhibitory effect was in dose-dependet manner ED50 was 5 Gy, the best dose to inhibit SMCs proliferation was 20 Gy. ?-particles irradiation induced SMCs to occur G 0/G 1 arrest, damaged the ability of SMCs reproliferation and led to cell clonogenic death. P53 and PCNA had regulatiory effects on SMCs proliferation after ?-particles irradiation.
4.Content Determination of Resveratrol in Smilax macrophylla Using HPLC

Smilax macrophylla is a type of Chinese herbal medicine for the treatment of gouty arthritis. Study on its quality evaluation method was very necessary. Resveratrol (trans-3,5,4'-trihydroxystilbene), its generally acknowl-edged major compound with definite therapeutic effect, was detected in the root of S. macrophylla. HPLC was used with the mobile phase of acetonitrile-water (25:75). The detection wavelength was 320 nm. The results showed that the method can be used in content determination of resveratrol in S. macrophylla. It was concluded that the study was able to establish content determination method of resveratrol in S. macrophylla in order to lay the foundation of the establishment of quality standard of this Chinese herbal medicine.
5.Correlation Study Between DXA and VQCT Measuring Bone Density

Objective To study the correlation of measuring bone density for diagnosing osteoporosis between VQCT and DXA. Methods 50 patients were measured bone density coinstantaneous by DXA and VQCT. All of the data was saved in computer and analyzed by SPSS soft.Results According to WHO criterion 14 patients were osteoporosis by F-DXA and 9 by S-DXA,and 23 by VQCT.The percent was respective 28%,18% and 46%. 6.Clinical Applications of Multislice Helic CT Virtual Gastroscopy andThree Dimensional Imaging in Gastric Tumors

Objective To assess feasibility of three-dimensional(3D) reconstruction techniques and virtual gastroscopy of CT(CTVG)in diagnosing gastric tumors.Methods 22 cases doubted with gastric lesions were scaned by mutislice helic CT and reconstructed into CTVG and 3D images.The results were compared with fiberoptic gastroscopy(FG) and all of the cases were sure with gastric lesions and biopsied by gastroscopy or surgery operation.Results 22 patients was examinated successfully,and the lesions was proved by pathology of FG or operation.According to location and shape of lesions,there were more ulcer type(16) and more located at gastric antrum(14) in this specimen.Both CTVG and FG had one misdiagnosis respectively.Conclusion CTVG combined with 3D of MSCT is same sensitivity and specificity as FG.
7.Clinical Applications of 3D Reconstruction and MPR with MSCT in Knee Joint Traumatic Fracture

Objective To study the value of clinical applications of multi-slice spiral CT(MSCT)3D reconstruction and MPR in knee joint traumatic fracture and the imaging technique of multi-slice spiral CT 3D.Methods 24 cases underwent MSCT and all data sets were done 3D and MPR in ADW 3.1 workstation.Results 3D reconstruction can indicated the site,direction of alignment,fracture degree,colapse,displacement length of trauma knee joint,MPR can viewed damage inside the bone.Conclusion 3D reconstruction and MPR has high application value in clinical diagnosis and choosing therapy methods.

9.Analysis on clinical effects of simple vertebral canal decompression for treating 62 cases of degree Ⅰ senile degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis

Objective To investigate the effect of simple vertebral canal decompression for treating degree 1 senile degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis .Methods 62 cases of degree 1 senile degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis from January 1998 to January 2012 were retrospectively analyzed .The patients were surgically treated by simple vertebral canal decompression and included 20 males and 42 females ,aged from 65-82 years(mean 68 years) ,with the disease history of 2-7 years(average 3 .3 years) .The clini-cal effects in average postoperative 2 years and 8 .2 years were evaluated by Japanese Orthopaedic Association Scores (JOA ) and Visual Analogue Scale/Score(VAS) .Results The preoperative JOA score was 9 .7 in average and the JOA scores in average post-operative 2 years and 8 .2 years were 11 .7 and 12 .8 respectively(P<0 .05);the preoperative VAS score averaged 7 .8 ,which after operation were 2 .3 and 2 .6 respectively(P<0 .05) .Complications were observed in 16 cases .4 cases accepted reoperation .Conclu-sion In the basis of the actively controlling other organ systems diseases in perioperative period ,simple vertebral canal decompression is an effective method for treating degenerative vertebral canal spondylolisthesis and can obtain the satisfactory therapeutic effect .
10.Application of sufentanil in anesthesia for scoliosis surgery

Objective To compare the effects of equivalent dose of sufentanil and fentanyl on wake-up test and recovery profile in scoliosis surgery. Methods Forty ASAⅠ-Ⅱadolescents undergoing scoliosis surgery were randomly divided into fentanyl group (group F,n=20) and sufentanil group(group S,n=20). Anesthesia was maintained with low-flow(1 L/min) inhalation of isoflurane and nitrous oxide (O2∶N2O=1∶1) in both groups. Intermittent i.v. boluses (1~1.5 ?g/kg) of fentanyl was used for analgesia in group F, and total dosage was not more than 5?g/kg when the wake-up test was started. Continuous infusion of sufentanil [0.1~0.2 ?g/(kg?h)] was maintained in group S, and total dosage was less than 1 ?g/kg when the wake-up test was started. The wake-up test time, postoperative recovery time, end-tidal isoflurane concentration(ETiso) and other hemodynamic variables during operation were recorded. Results There was no significant difference in the wake-up test time, postoperative recovery time, bucking and/or restlessness during the wake-up test, PCA morphine dosage and PONV between the two groups. Conclusion Properly administration of sufentanil does not prolong the intraoperative wake-up test time so that it can safely be used in scoliosis surgery.
