This paper summarized the data of 5 growth indices of 152, 874 children aged 0-7 years in 9 city's urban and suburban areas. The results showed that they were well related to the growth of children. The stature of children was thin-tall in urban and thick-short in suburban. As compared with American and Japanese children data, we found that the body indices of our children were lower. Among 5 growth indices, the Kaup's index seemd to be useful for assessment of child physical development and nutrition.

Objective:To study cardiomyocyte apoptosis of viral myocarditis (VMC) mice,study the effect and significance of Tumor Necrosis Factor-? (TNF-?) to cardiomyocyte apoptosis in VMC.Methods:Our experiments studied cardiomyocyte apoptosis at 3、5、7、9、15、35 days after virus inoculation in VMC mice by ways of TUNEL and electron microscope.We studied the effect of TNF-? to cardiomyocyte apoptosis in VMC by the way of intervention with TNF-? and TNF-? mAb.Results:Apoptotic cardiomyocyte of VMC mice increased appaently compared with control mice.Cardiomyocyte apoptosis increased after TNF-? intervention,cardiomyocyte apoptosis reduced after TNF-? mAb intervention.Conclusion:Abnormal cardiomyocyte apoptosis was observed in VMC,cardiomyocyte apoptosis may has relation with the Pathogenesis of VMC.TNF-? can induce cardiomyocyte apoptosis in VMC.TNF-? induces cardiomyocyte apoptosis may has relation with its role in VMC.

Traditional chemotherapy mostly caused the proliferative cancer cells'deoxyribonucleic acid damaged and suspended copy.It is purposed to kill cancer cells as far as possible.So we adopted chemotherapeutics' human maximum tolerated dose clinically.Recent findings indicate that some chemotherapy drugs such as paclitaxel are applied under way in the low dose and high frequency could inhibit tumor angiogenesis.

Objective To study the inhibitive effects of matrine on the formation of glaucoma filtration bleb scar.Methods A total of 40 New Zealand white rabbit were chosen and randomly divided into four groups(group A,B,C and D).Both eyes in four groups were treated with glaucoma filtration surgery.The cotton pieces under the sclera flap were made:1.0 g · L-1 matrine cotton piece in group A,0.4 g · L-1 matrine cotton piece in group B,0.2 mg · L-1 mitomycin cotton piece in group C and PBS cotton piece in group D.The intraocular pressure,filtering bleb,anterior chamber reaction and complications were observed at preoperative and postoperative 1 day,3 days,7 days,14 days,28 days in all groups.Two rabbits selected randomly from every group were killed at 1 day,3 days,7 days,14 days and 28 days after surgery.Tissue was harvested from the bleb area and made into pathological section,immunestaining and Masson trichromatic dyeing were used to observe the inflammatory cells,collagen,fibroblasts,the change of muscle fibroblasts and new collagen fibers under light microscope.The cornea was observed at 7 days under transmission electron microscope for drug toxic reaction,Results At postoperative 7 days,14 days,28 days,there were statistical difference in IOP between group A,B,C and group D group (P ＜ 0.05),and there were statistical difference between group A and group B (P ＜ 0.05).At postoperative 7 days,14 days,28 days,there were statistical difference in fibroblasts counting between group A,B,C and group D group (P ＜0.01),and there were statistical differences between group A and group B (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Matrine can inhibit fibroblasts hyperplasia,reduce the scar of filtration area and has no side effects on eye tissues.

Objective To establish a high performance liquid chromatographic method for the determination of naringin in Jinji Hubu Pill.Methods HPIC was performed on Kromasil C18 column(4.6 mm? 200 mm,5 ? m).The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-water(18:82) with the flow rate of 1.0 mL? min-1,and the detective wavelength was at 283 nm.Results The linear range was 1.24～ 30.96 ? g/mL.The average recovery of naringin was 100.7 % with corresponding RSD=0.6%.Conclusion The method is simple,sensitive,and accurate,and can be used for the determination of naringin in Jinji Hubu Pill.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for rapid identification of genuine and spurious Panax notoginseng.METHODS:19 batches of samples including P.notoginseng of different origins and the common spurious P.notoginseng in China were collected.The infrared spectra of the samples were collected using near infrared spectrometer,then the spectra were pretreated by unitary vector plus second derivative method and the identification model was established by factorization method.RESULTS:The verification on 10 batches of commercial P.notoginseng samples showed that the established model can accurately identify the genuine and the spurious P.notoginseng.CONCLUSION:NIR spectrometry can quickly and accurately identify the quality of P.notoginseng,and it can be applied in rapid drug testing vehiches for extensive use.

Objective To invectigate the etiology and pathogenesis of intracranial aneurysm. Methods Four experimental animal models of intracranial aneurysm were established with normal horse serum injected into veins or the neck regions, or into both common carotid arteries which were narrowed, by using silk ligature or noradrenalin injection into the neck regions. Results Ten intracranial aneurysms were found in the experimental animal model.Conclusion The immunological response,arteryischemia and continuous vasospasm may be considered the direct pathogenic factors of the intracranial aneurysm.

Objective:To investigate the surgical outcome of one-stage combined anterior and posterior ap-proach for severe thoracolumbar and lumbar spine fracture.Method:A total of 62 cases suffered from severe thoracolumbar and lumbar spine fracture undergoing surgery from Jan 2003 to Jan 2008 were reviewed retro-spectively.Of these,there were T11 involved in 2 cases,T12 in 13 cases,L1 in 28 cases,L2 in 10 cases,L3 in 6 cases and L4 in 3 cases.There were 58 fresh fractures and 4 old fractures.Based on Dennis classifica-tion,12 were compression fracture,33 were burst fracture and 17 fracture dislocation.All cases had spine load score≥7 and TLICS score≥5.Of 19 cases with neurological deficit according to Frankel grade,there were 7 A,5 B and 7 C.Combined anterior and posterior approach was performed in all cases,anterior bony graft plus posterior pedicle instrumentation were performed either,of these,52 cases had additional anterior decompres-sion.Result:All operations were performed successfully,with the mean surgical time of 170min (range, 150-210min) ,the average blood loss was 819ml(range,400-2900ml).No iatrogenic neuroinjury,skin infection, dural matter tearing and graft displacement were noted.The preoperative Cobb's angle was 8°-40°(mean, 23.9°), while the postoperative counterpart returning to normal with 5 cases having 2°-10° kyphosis.The preoperative compression rate was 20%-95%(mean,54.5%),while the postoperative counterpart returning to normal in 47 cases,with 15 cases having 2%-30%.The preoperative canal stenosis rate was 5%-90%(mean,51.1%) while the postoperative counterpart was 0-30%(mean,4.7%),which showed significant difference with regarding to these 3 parameters (P<0.05).All cases were followed up for an average of 31 months (range,12-72 months). Bony fusion was evidenced in cases undergoing anterior bony graft.At 10-12 months, the Cobb's angle was 0°-15°(mean,0.62°) ,the vertebral compression rate was 0-30%(mean,4.6%),no significant difference were noted between them and their postoperative counterparts(P>0.05).At final foUow-up,15 of 19 cases with neu-rological deficit had neurofunction improved,while 4 remained unchanged.According to our hospital criteria,of 43 cases with no neurological deficit,there were 30 excellent,9 good,3 fair and 1 bad with the total excel-lent to good rate of 90.6%.Cage subsidence and pedicle screw breaking was noted in 1 case,who developed severe kyphosis presenting with irreducible back pain.Conclusion:One-stage combined anterior and posterior approach for severe thoracolumbar and lumbar spine fracture can ensure three column stability as well as complete decompression,which has good early outcome.

Objective To develop a new method for the determination of trace silver in water by flame atomic absorption(FAAS) after cloud point extraction.Methods Diethyldithiophosphate(DDTP) and triton X-114 were respectively used as the chelating agent and surfactant.The effects of experimental conditions such as acidity,concentration of chelating agent,surfactant and methanol,equilibration temperature and time,interference ion on cloud point extraction were investigated.Results Under the optimum condition,0.5 ml of 0.1 mol/L DDTP solution,0.5 ml of 50 g/L Triton X-114 and 5 ml of 1 mol/L hydrochloric acid were added and the volume was made up to 50 ml.The mixture was heated in a thermostatic bath at 40 ℃ for 15 min,the linear range of determination for silver was 0-100 ng/ml,the equation of linear regression was A = 0.005 8cAg+ 0.001 6,r = 0.999.The detection limit was 0.83 ng/ml,the recovery rate was in the range of 97%-105%,and the relative standard deviation was 3.1%(n=11) for 20 ng/ml Ag.There was no significant interference for silver solution containing 5 000 times of K+,Na+,Ca2,Mg2,NO3,SO4 + +-2-and Cl-,1 000 times of Al3+ and Zn2+,500 times of Fe2+ and Mn2+,100 times of Pb2+ and Cu2+.Conclusion The method is rapid,accurate,simple and applicable to the determination of trace silver in water samples.

Objective:To study the effect and clinical significance of tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?) in viral myocarditis(VMC).Methods:Animal model was established by serum TNF-? in VMC mice was assayed by the way of ELISA.In addition,VMC mice were treated by TNF-? mAb and rTNF-?,death rate andmyocardial change of intervention group were compared with control group.Results:Serum TNF-? in VMC mice increased apparently.Inflammatory cell infiltration and myocardial necrosis had ralations with TNF-? in VMC.Inflammatory cell infiltration and myocardial necrosis in the mice of exogenous TNF-? intervention group were more serious than simple VMC group apparently,death rate of mice was also higher than simple VMC group.Inflammatory cell infiltration and myocardial necrosis in the mice of TNF-? mAb intervention group were milder than simple VMC group apparently,death rate of mice was also lower.Conclusion:TNF-? take part in the immunoreaction and pathogenesis of VMC,it has important significance to the therapy of VMC.
