Journal of Chinese Physician 2000;0(11):-
Objecitve To observe the relationship between the expressions of the estrogen receptor (ER),progestogen receptor (PR) and tumor infiltration and metastasis in thyroid cancer. Methods By using immunohistochemical method to study the relationship between the expressions of ER and PR in 100 cases of thyroid carcinamas and 28 cases of benign thyroid lesions. Results The positive rates of ER and RP expression were 67 0% and 62 0% respectively in thyroid carcinomas,it had correlation with well differentiation and type of histology but positive expression did not relate to age and sex.The positive rates of ER and PR in the non-metastasized group were 75 4% and 70 5% respectively;significantly higher than that of the metastasized group which were 53 8% and 48 7% respectively (P
2.The Important Role of Three Auxiliary Factors of Mammalian Aminoacyl-tRNA Synthetase Complex in The Cellular Signaling Network
Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(04):-
Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase catalyzing the first reaction of protein biosynthesis. In mammalian cells, eight aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases (aaRSs) and three auxiliary protein factors form a macromolecular aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases complex (aaRS complex). The three nonsynthetase protein factors, namely, p43, p38, and p18 were found to be involved in many other important life activities besides their roles in the complex. The auxiliary factor p43 was the precursor of endothelial monocyte activating polypeptideⅡ (EMAPⅡ), which involved in angiogenesis and apoptosis. The auxiliary factor p38 was crucial for the development of lung, and its abnormal accumulation in neuron would be related to the Parkinson’s disease. The auxiliary factor p38 and p18 could promote the repair of DNA damage via different pathways in a highly organized way. All these breakthroughs enhance our understanding about the interaction between the aaRS complex and the macromolecular signaling network and promote the studies on this field.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(02):-
To investigate the changs in the expressions of cellular adhesion molecules (CAMs) of the myocardium after low dose interleukin 1? (IL 1?) pretreatment and the relationship between CAMs and delayed cardioprotection, we measured the change in the expressions of intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM 1) mRNA and its proteins, the expressions of leukocyte function antigen 1(CD11a) proteins, and infiltration number of polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNs) in the myocardium and determined the infarct size with in situ hybridization(ISH),immunohistochemistry and enzyme methods immediately,12 hours and 24 hours after IL 1? pretreatment in a model of ischemia/reperfusion of myocardium in rats. The results showed that the expressions of ICAM 1 mRNA and its protein, CD11a protein and the PMN infiltration number were significantly higher in the ILPC and NS groups than in the control at 0~24h after IL 1? or NS pretreatment( P 0 05). The results suggested that low dose IL 1? pretreatment might inhibit the expressions in the CAMs of myocardium during the late period of ischemia /reperfusion,resulting in delayed cardioprotection.

Objective To investigate the effects of stellate ganglion block (SGB) on erythrocyte immunity in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods Twenty-four patients (13 male, 11 female) who developed acute cerebral infarction for less than 3 days were randomly divided into 2 groups (n=12each): Group A receiving traditional treatment and Group B receiving traditional treatment + SGB.The patients ranged in age from 51 to 64 yr and weighed 52-71 kg. All patients received intravenous 5% glucose 25 ml plus citicoline sodium 1.0 g and sodium ozagrel injectio 250 ml daily for 10 days in addition to dehydration and effective control of complications and intracranial pressure. Group B received SGB on one side alternatively with 1% licocaine 10 mi once a day for 10 days. Fasting venous blood samples were taken in the early mornings of the day before treatment (baseline, T1 ) and the 1st, 5th and 10th day of treatment (T2-4) for determination of the plasma MDA concentration and SOD activity, erythrocyte C3b receptor rosette rate (RBC-C3bRR) and RBC immune complex rosette rate (RBC-ICR) and Ne+-K+-ATPase activity in erythrocyte membrane. Results The plasma MDA concentration and RBC-ICR were significantly decreased during treatment es compared with the baselines at T1 in both groups (P<0.05 or 0.01), but were significantly lower in Group B than in Group A (P<0.05 or 0.01 ).The activities of plasma SOD and Na+ -K+ -ATPase in erythrocyte membrane and RBC-C3bRR were significantly increased during treatment as compared with the baselines at T1 and were significantly higher in Group B than in Group A.Conclusion SGB combined with traditional treatment can increase the activities of plasma SOD and Na+ -K+ -ATPase in erythrocyte membrane, inhibit production of oxygen free radicals and enhance RBC immune function in patients with acute cerebral infarction.
