Objective To observe the efficacy and prognosis of aconite-cake-partitioned moxibustion plus acupuncture in treating peptic ulcer.Method Thirty-four patients in the treatment group were intervened by aconite-cake-partitioned moxibustion plus acupuncture, while thirty-three patients in the control group were by Omeprazole Enteric-coated Capsules. The clinical efficacy, the effect on ulcer under gastroscope and Hp, and the therapeutic efficacy 12 months after the intervention were evaluated.Result The total effective rate was 91.2% in the treatment group versus 72.7% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). For ulcer by gastroscopy, the total effective rate was 85.3% in the treatment group versus 69.7% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, the Hp level didn’t show significant change (P>0.05). The relapse rate of the control group was higher than that of the treatment group 12 months after the intervention. Conclusion Aconite-cake-partitioned moxibustion plus acupuncture can produce a higher efficacy than Western medication in treating peptic ulcer.
3.Association between prostasomes and prostate disease
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2017;36(1):102-105
Prostasomes are one of the subcellular structures secreted by prostatic epithelial cells. They present in human semen as membranous vesicles with average diameter of 150nm(40-500nm).440 proteins have been identified in human prostasomes and possess many physical functions.Prostasomes may not only exert a motility function for spermatozoa by delaying the acrosome reaction, but also have immune regulatory function, antibacterial and antioxidant characteristics.Prostasomes can be isolated from the serum and urine, and they present both in normal and prostatic cancer tissues.Prostasome can be a special prostatic biomarker and has a close association with prostatitis and prostate cancer.
4.Clinical efficacy of one-visit versus two-visit endodontic treatment with nickel-titanium rotary instruments and ultrasonic irrigation unit
Journal of Practical Stomatology 1996;0(02):-
Objective:To study clinical efficacy of one-visit versus two-visit root canal therapy for pulpitis, apical periodontitis and taintless teeth with nickel-titanium rotary instruments and ultrasonic irrigation unit. Methods: A total of 309 patients with 338 teeth were selected. The teeth were classified into pulpitis group, apical periodontitis group and taintless teeth group. Patients were randomly assigned to either the one-visit or two-visit root canal therapy, the treatment effects were evaluated with clinical trial and radiography after 3 days, 1 week, 1 month and 3 months. Results: The short-term outcome was changes in apical bone density by using the periapical index (PAI), long-term outcome exhibited equally improvement in clinical curative effect in both groups. Although one-visit root treatment could cause more intensive postoperative pain than that of two-visit endodontic treatment during 1-3 days, the indisposition could be eliminated by using medicine. Conclusion: By using of the nickel-titanium rotary instruments and canal ultrasonic irrigation unit, the cure rate of root canal therapy of one-visit and two-visit endodontic treatment has been improved, with no significant difference between two groups, so that one-visit root treatment can be used in clinic.

Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2017;36(4):419-422
Objective To observe the therapeutic efficacy of acupuncture plus moxibustion in treating chemoradiotherapy-induced leukopenia in patients with malignant tumors.Method A total of 120 patients with malignant tumors who presentedleukopenia during receiving chemoradiotherapy were randomized into two groups. Sixty cases in the treatment group were intervened by acupuncture plus moxibustion; sixty cases in the control group were intervened by oral administration of Batilol tablets and Leucogen tablets. The peripheral white blood cell (WBC) count in the two groups was detected on treatment day 3, 7, 14, 21, and 28.The clinical efficacies of the two groups were compared.ResultThe WBC started toincreaseafter 1-week treatment in thetreatment group (P<0.05) and the increase was statistically significant after 2-week treatment (P<0.01); in the control group, the WBC started to increase after 2-week treatment (P<0.05)and the increase was statistically significant after 3-week treatment (P<0.01); the effect of increasing WBC was more significant in the treatment group compared to the control group (P<0.05,P<0.01).The total effective rate was 90.0% in the treatment group versus 53.3% in the control group, and the between-group difference was statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusion Acupuncture plus moxibustion can produce a significant efficacy in treating leukopenia induced by chemoradiotherapy.
6.Clinical Observation of Acupuncture-moxibustion for Endometriosis
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2017;36(6):711-714
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture-moxibustion in treating endometriosis (EM). Method Fifty EM patients were randomized into two groups, 25 cases in each group. The treatment group was intervened by acupuncture-moxibustion, while the control group was intervened by oral administration of Mifepristone tablets. Abdominal pain, pelvic lump, and relevant indicators were observed before and after the treatment, and the therapeutic efficacies were compared.Result After 6-month treatment, symptoms including abdominal pain obviously subsided in the treatment group and the total effective rate was 92.0%, versus 52.0% in the control group, and the between-group difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). The pelvic lump size was significantly changed after the treatment in both groups (P<0.05), suggesting that the lump size became smaller in both groups after the treatment;there was a significant difference in comparing the pelvic lump size between the two groups after the treatment (P<0.05), indicating that the lump size was reduced more significantly in the acupuncture-moxibustion group. The level of serum CA125 changed significantly after the treatment in both groups (P<0.05), suggesting that serum CA125 dropped in both groups after the treatment; there was a significant difference in comparing the level of serum CA125 between the two groups after the treatment (P<0.05), indicating that serum CA125 dropped more significantly in the acupuncture-moxibustion group. A year later, there was a significant difference in comparing the relapse rate between the two groups (P<0.05), revealing that the relapse rate was significantly lower in the acupuncture-moxibustion group than in the medication group. Conclusion Acupuncture-moxibustion can produce a marked therapeutic efficacy in treating EM.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2001;21(1):52-54
ObjectiveTo evaluate the marginal integrity of restoration in two types of mate- rials, or resin- modified glass ionomer cement and polyacid- modified composite resin (compomer). MethodsRestorations of four kinds of material (GC Fuji Ⅱ LC, VitremerTM, Dyract compomer and F2000 compomer) were placed in the facial Class V cavity preparations in forty noncarious human molar teeth. The teeth were randomly assigned to 4 experimental groups of 10 teeth each. After thermal cy- cling( × 20,5 ~55℃ ), the teeth were immersed in 1% basic fuchsin dye for 24 hours at room tempera- ture. Staining along the teeth restoration interface was recorded. ResultsThe data indicated signifi- cant differences between all the restorative materials for both occlusal and gingival scores ( P=0.026, P = 0. 000)respectively. Further analysis revealed there were statistically significant differences between GC Fuji Ⅱ LC and others on occlusal margins versus Dyract compomer and others on gingival margins. Conclusion Factors such as dental conditioning, rates of water absorption and thermal coefficient were related to microleakage. Resin - modified glass ionomer cement showed less microleakage than polyacid- modified composite resin tested.

Objective To investigate the correlations of the expressions of CXCR4 and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in esophageal cancer and their associations with patients' clinicopathological features. Methods The paraffin-embedded samples of 127 patients with esophageal cancer treated by thoracic surgery in Zhongshan Hospital in 2005 were collected. The CXCR4 and VEGF expressions in esophageal cancer tissues were detected with immunohistochemical technique. The immunostaining was evaluated according to the staining area and intensity. Results The overall expression rate was 88.2% and 79.5%, respectively. CXCR4 expression was significantly associated with tumor grade, size, tumor depth, regional lymph node metastasis and TNM stage (P<0.05);VEGF expression was significantly associated with tumor depth, TNM stage and tumor grade. In addition, there were significant correlations between CXCR4 and VEGF (P<0.01). Conclusions There was significant association between CXCR4, VEGF expressions and clinicopathological features of esophageal cancer. There might be some potential correlation between CXCR4 and VEGF expression in esophageal cancer.

Objective To evaluate the visual function before and after photodynamic therapy(PDT) in patients with subfoveal choroidal neovascularization (CNV) caused by age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Methods Twenty-five consecutive patients (34 eyes) treated with PDT (verteporfin) for subfoveal CNV in age-related macular degeneration diagnosed by fluorescein angiography (FFA), indocyanine green angiography (ICGA) and optical coherence tomography (OCT). Visual function including best corrected visual acuity, contrast sensitivity frequency, binocular function, confusion, stereo-vision, color vision, metamorphopsis and central scotoma were examed before photodynamic therapy and 1 week, 1 month, 3 month after photodynamic therapy. The follow-up time varied from 3 months to 2 years (mean 7.6 months). Results The changes of visual function at the 3rd month after photodynamic therapy revealed improving in 13 eyes (38.24%), without any change in 17 eyes (50.00%), and decreasing in 6 eyes (17.65%). Visual acuity with logMRA improved after photodynamic therapy, but without statistic difference. All spatial contrast sensitivity improved. Contrast sensitivity for spatial frequencies 5 cycles per degree (cpd) was better after photodynamic therapy with significant difference (P=0.045).Binocular function, fusion function, stereo function and color vision were slightly improved without statistic difference. Conclusion Damage of visual function in macular degeneration is many-sided. The treatment of PDT for exudative AMD can improve part visual function.

Chinese Journal of Rheumatology 2001;0(01):-
Objective To find out the change of bone density in premenopausal women with systemic scleroderma (SSc) and its association with gluecorticosteroid. Methods Using a clinical bone densitometer manufactured by British McCue CuBA Cobroadband ultrasound attenuation (BUA) and velocity of sound (VOS) were measured at the left heel bone in 58 premenopausal patients with systemic scleroderma.Among them,35 patients had taken gluecorticosteroid, and the other 23 had not.Levels of serum estradiol (E 2) in 19 out of 58 patients with systemic scleroderma were determined and compared with healthy controls. Results Levels of broadband ultrasound attenuation and velocity of sound measured in permenopausal patients with systemic scleroderma who had taken gluecorticosteroid were significantly lower than those in ones who had not taken gluecorticoseroid ( P 0 05).Conclusion The bone mineral density and the level of BUA and VOS in premenopausal patients with systemic scleroderma, who had taken gluecorticosteroid, are obviously decreased, but there is no significant difference between patients without taking gluecorticosteroid and healthy controls. It indicates that systemic scleroderma is no dangerous factor of osteoporosis. And bone density in premenopausal patients with systemic scleroderma is related with the patients who have taken gluecorticosteroid for a long time.
