Objective To study the role of local immunity in the female genital tract with non- gonococcal urethritis(NGU).Methods Forty-four cervical secretions from patients with NGU were collected.After treatment with Azithromycin,22 cases were followed up.One month later,pathogen was eliminated in 15 patients.Another 27 un-infected people were included in our study.The level of secretory immunoglobulin A(SIgA)was detected using the automatic special protein analysor,and interferon-?(IFN-?)was quantified by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).All data were analyzed with ANOVA.Results The levels of SIgA and IFN-?in NGU infected group were(34.29?15.92)mg/L and(97.13?24.00)ng/L respectively,while those of uninfected group were(47.57?19.61)mg/L and(120.71?33.78)ng/L,respectively(all P0.05).Conclusions SIgA and IFN-?secreted by genital tract mucosa may help pre- vent and resist the local NGU infection.However,the effect is limited,and is insufficient to eliminate infection completely and prevent reinfection.

BACKGROUND:Previous studies have found that human platelet-derived growth factor-B (PDGF-B)-transfected gingival fibroblasts are capable of rapid proliferationin vitro, which can secrete platelet-derived growth factor BB proteins. OBJECTIVE:To explore the ability of PDGF-B-modified gingival fibroblasts in the acelular dermal matrixin vivo to form periodontal tissue engineering compound. METHODS: Gingival fibroblasts from Beagle dogs transfected with or without PDGF-B gene were implanted into the acelular dermal matrix. Cel growth on the acelular dermal matrix was observed. PDGF-B gene-transfected gingival fibroblasts/acelular dermal matrix composite (experimental group), gingival fibrobalsts/acelular dermal matrix composite (control group) and acelular dermal matrix (blank group) were implanted subcutaneously into the nude mice, respectively. At 2, 4, 8 weeks after implantation, skin tissues were taken and observed histologicaly. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: PDGF-B gene-modified gingival fibroblasts and non-transfected gingival fibroblasts both grew and proliferated wel in the acelular dermal matrix. At 8 weeks after implantation, in the blank group, the surrounding cels largely entered into the acelular dermal matrix, but produce less new colagen fibers, and the cels only grew on the original colagen scaffold; in the control group, a great amount of colagen fibers formed, the original colagen fibers in the acelular dermal matrix were replaced by newly formed colagens, but the original colagen structure was reserved; in the experimental group, a large scale of permineralization formed, and mineralized nodes were arranged along the original colagen scaffold. These findings indicate that PDGF-B gene modified gingival fibroblasts can acquire osteoplastic abilities in the acelular dermal matrix in vivo.

Androgen deprivation therapy can effectively suppress the progression of prostate cancer, but accumulating evidence for the relationship of testosterone with prostate cancer challenges the conventional wisdom. High levels of testosterone are not risk factors for prostate cancer, nor promote its development. On the contrary, a low testosterone level indicates a worse pathological stage. So far there has been no strong evidence to prove the role of testosterone in the occurrence and progression of prostate cancer. Therefore, the relationship between testosterone and prostate cancer is quite complicated and deserves further investigation.

Objective To explore the application of self-expanding stent and seperable detachable coil for interventional therapy in patients with wide-necked intracranial aneurysm.Methods 32 patients with wide-necked intracranial aneurysm received the interventional therapy by self-expanding stent and seperable detachable coil.After operation,the situation of the aneurysm occluded were observed by DSA immediately and followed up.Results The stents were successfully deployed in the 32 patients.The seperable detachable coils were occluded in the aneurysms in 29 cases.After operation immediately,the DSA showed that the aneurysms in 18 cases were completely occluded by seperable detachable coils,7 cases were 95% occluded,4 cases were 90% occluded.In the other 3 cases,the aneurysms were too small to be filled by seperable detachable coil,the stents were used only.All the parent arteries were no stenosis.18 h after operation,1 case died from multiple hemorrhage caused by thrombasthenia.Follow-up from 3 months to 1 year,DSA re-examination in 21 cases.Compared with the image immediately after operation,the imagings of DSA were no change in 12 cases,residual necks were disappeared in 5 cases and increased in 1 case.In the 3 cases which stents used only,the aneurysms were no development completely in the 2 cases and decreased in 1 case.6～18 months followed up in 26 cases,the rebleeding and cerebral infarction were no occurred.Conclusions The self-expanding stent is very flexible,secure,and effective.It can good support for the wide-necked aneurysms to be occluded by seperable detachable coils and effective promoting the small aneurysms healing.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in treating severe pneumonia complicated with gastrointestinal dysfunction (GIDF).Method Sixty patients with severe pneumonia complicated with GIDF were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The two groups were both given conventional Western medications. In addition, the treatment group was intervened by acupuncture, and the control group by oral administration of Mosapride citrate capsules and enteral nutrition via nasogastric tube. After 7-day treatment, the changes of GIDF score, intraabdominal pressure, bowel sound and gastric retention were observed in the two groups, and the clinical efficacies were compared.Result The total effective rate was 93.1% in the treatment group versus 78.6% in the control group, and the between-group difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of GIDF and the indexes (intraabdominal pressure, bowel sound, and gastric retention) were significantly changed after the treatment in both groups (P<0.05). The scores of GIDF and the indexes in the treatment group were significantly different from those in the control group after the intervention (P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture can promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function in severe pneumonia patients, since it can significantly improve the intraabdominal pressure, bowel sound and gastric retention.

Objective To understand the therapeutic effect of clindamycin combined with compound sulfamethoxazole tablets on pneumocystis pneumonia(PCP)associated with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).Methods 97 AIDS patients with PCP in a hospital from January 2014 to March 2015 were randomly divided into control group (n=49,received compound sulfamethoxazole )and trial group(n=48,received clindamycin on the basis of com-pound sulfamethoxazole ),levels of partial pressure of oxygen in arterial blood (PaO2 ),arterial blood oxygen satu-ration(SaO2 ),serum albumin(ALB),and lactic dehydrogenase (LDH)in two groups of patients before and after treatment were recorded.Results Levels of PaO2 ,SaO2 ,ALB,and LDH between two groups of patients before treatment was not significantly different(all P >0.05).After treatment,PaO2 in control group and trial group were (73.01 ±4.62)mmHg and(84.92 ±5.34)mmHg respectively,SaO2 were (75.81 ±4.28)% and(90.86 ±5.94)%respectively,ALB were (32.62±4.41 )g/L and(43.95 ±5.03)g/L respectively,LDH were(416.53 ±30.77)U/L and(331 .58±20.86)U/L respectively,levels of PaO2 and SaO2 in trial group were both higher than control group , difference in ALB and LDH between two groups of patients after treatment were both statistically significant(both P <0.05).The total effective rate of trial group was 89.58% (n=43),which was higher than 69.39%(n=34)in control group (χ2 =6.04,P =0.014).Conclusion Clindamycin combined with compound sulfamethoxazole tablets has good therapeutic effect on AIDS and PCP,which is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
