Objective To investigate the effect of Omaha system intervention on social psychology of the elderly,and to provide evidence for effective intervention in elderly with homebound state.Methods 218 cases with homebound conditions were divided into intervention group and control group by random digits table with each group 109 cases.The intervention group accepted intervention including health education,treatment procedures,case management,supervision of the four aspects of 1-3 times a week according to Omaha intervention system for a period of 3 months.The control group was the blank control.And Omaha evaluation form was used to evaluate social psychological and physical effect before and after the intervention.Results 3 months after the intervention,except physiology in the field of neuromusculo-skeletal function of two groups had no significant difference (t=2.03,P＞0.05),scores in the intervention group in the field of physiology (like the circulation) were higher than the control group,the difference was statistically significant [(1 1.20±2.03) vs.(8.72±1.36),P＜0.05].As for psychology (like mental health),scores of intervention group were higher than that of the control group [(12.53±1.42) vs.(8.63±1.33),t=20.12,P＜ 0.05].Conclusions Omaha system can effectively improve the quality of life of elderly with homebound state and maintain their physiological,social and psychological function.

Objective To design and synthesize a series of new type four hydrogen quinoline-benzyl/benzimidazole amine derivatives as a potential new inhibitor targeting auxiliary receptor CXCR 4, and determine their inhibitory activities to HIV-1.Methods Based on HIV-1 receptor CXCR4 inhibitors containing three nitrogen structure-activity motif and CCR5 partial hydrophobic pharmacophore , a series of new compounds were designed , synthesized and characterized by 1 HNMR and MS.The inhibitory activities of these compounds were determined using HIV-1 IIIB virus.Results and Conclusion Ten target compounds are synthesized .Four hydrogen quinoline-benzimidazole amine derivatives exhibit good anti-HIV activity(IC50 <1 μmol/L), but four hydrogen quinoline-benzyl amine compounds are less active ((IC50 >8 μmol/L).

Objective To provide epidemiological evidence for the application of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) physique differentiation to the disease control and prevention, Chinese medicine health care, public education and so on in the elderly population. Methods TCM physique types of the elderly population aged over 65 years old from one University community in Tianhe district of Guangzhou city were analyzed by one-on-one questionnaire investigation with the Classification and Identification Scale for Senile Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution, and the correlation of TCM physique types with gender, age group was also explored. Results (1) In the 65-year-old elderly population of 777 cases, 231(29.7％) were classified into phlegm-damp physique, 129(16.6％) into blood-stasis physique, and 71(9.1％) into harmony physique, which contributed to the major physique types. (2) Physique types varied in the gender. The male was dominated by phlegm-damp physique and damp-heat physique, and the female was dominated by yang-deficiency constitution, Qi-stagnation physique and interweaved physique. The differences of the constitution ratio of physique types in the gender were significant (P<0.01). (3) In various age groups, the leading 3 physique types were the same, and they were phlegm-damp physique, blood-stasis physique, and interweaved physique (P<0.01). With the increase of age years, the ratio of deficiency physique type showed an increasing trend while that of the non-deficiency physique type showed a decreasing trend. Conclusion The investigation revealed the distribution of TCM physique types of the elderly population from one University community in Guangzhou, which has important practical value for the intervention of the elderly population with Chinese medicine.
