Objective To find out the relationship between the serum resistin levels and obesity, insulin sensitivity, blood-glucose as well as blood lipid in the elderly with diabetes. Methods Senile patients (51) suffering from type 2 diabetes and non-diabetic controls(42) were selected. Their serum resistin levels after an overnight fasting were measured by competitive ELISA. Objective To study the effects of diacylglycerol(DG)on body weight of rats and its possible metabolic mechanism. Method (1) SD rats (n=30) were randomly divided into 3 groups. They were given free access to diets containing 7% (wt) triacylglycerol (TG, control group), 20% (wt) TG or 20% (wt) DG diets, respectively for 8 w. The changes of body weight, height, food intake, and feces were recorded. At the end of experiment, abdominal fat weight (including perirenal fat and epididymal fat), blood lipids were detected. (2) 13 w male Wistar rats (n=50) were divided into 2 groups(administrated with 10% TG or DG emulsion, respectively)in postprandial blood fat profile experiment. Blood lipids of 5 rats were analyzed at desired interval. (3) 6 w male Wistar rats (n=30) were randomly divided into 3 group, control group, DG group and TG group, administrated with glucose solution, 20%DG emulsion and 20%TG emulsion respectively for 6 d. Urine in 144 hr was collected continuously and analyzed for total ketone bodies. Results High DG diet resulted in a significant reduction in both body weight gain, ratio of abdominal fat to body weight and serum TG levels compared with the high TG diet. DG group have higher FFA level in portal vein and lower TG level in jugular vein than those of high TG group. But urine ketone body level of high DG group was higher than high TG group. Conclusion Dietary DG reduced fat accumulation inabdominal region, body and blood, and these effects may be involved with different metabolic ways of DG compared with TG.

Objective To observe the effects of hirudo capsules on degree of platelet activation and blood rheology in patients with cerebral arteriosclerosis. Methods 122 patients with cerebral arteriosclerosis were randomly divided into two groups by the random number table:observation group(61 cases)and control group (61 cases). The two groups received conventional treatment such as antihypertensive and hypoglycemic drugs,and 100 mg of aspirin once a day. In the observation group,additionally hirudo capsules 0.75 g,3 times a day were given. The therapeutic course in both groups was 2 months. Prior to the start of treatment and on the next day after the end of treatment,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)clinical syndrome integral,platelet membrane glycoproteins caspase 1 (PAC-1),platelet adhesion molecule P selection(CD62P)positive rate,and blood rheology indexes were detected,in addition to the adverse reactions . Results Before treatment,there were no statistical significant differences between the two groups in terms of TCM clinical syndrome integral such as headache,dizziness,head fullness,multiple somnolence amnesia,lip dark purple,sublingual veins purple in color,PAC-1,CD62P positive rate,hemorheology indexes(all P>0.05). After treatment,TCM clinical syndrome integral PAC-1,CD62P,low shear viscosity,high shear viscosity,plasma viscosity and the hematocrit of two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, the improvement in observation group being more remarkable〔headache:0.75±0.69 vs. 1.23±0.92,dizziness:0.96±0.78 vs. 1.54±1.24,head fullness:0.65±0.59 vs. 1.48±1.17,multiple somnolence amnesia:0.77±0.72 vs. 1.69±1.14,lip dark purple:0.83±0.81 vs. 1.32±0.79,sublingual veins purple:0.84±0.67 vs. 1.20±0.74, PAC-1:(10.31±4.57)%vs.(15.13±6.27)%,CD62P:(11.39±5.24)%vs.(16.40±7.91)%,low shear viscosity (mPa?s):7.52±3.37 vs. 8.97±3.50,high shear viscosity(mPa?s):4.35±1.12 vs. 5.58±1.19,plasma viscosity (mPa?s):1.54±0.35 vs. 1.88±0.42,hematocrit(HCT):0.43±0.09 vs. 0.49±0.10〕. In the patients' follow-up, there were no obvious side effects of hirudo capsules. Conclusion Hirudo capsule is a safe and effective drug for treatment of patients with cerebral arteriosclerosis as it is helpful in reducing platelet activation degree and improving the blood rheology indexes.

Objective To observe the effect of the outpatient mobile infusion system in the department of infectious outpatient night infusion.Methods From July to December in 2012,520 patients in department of infectious outpatient infusion in our hospital were selected and were divided into the observation group (using outpatient mobile infusion system)and the control group (adopting conventional infusion) with 260 cases in each group.The infusion effect was compared between two groups.Results The average occupancy per patient care time in the observation group was less than the control group,the difference was statistically significant.The satisfaction degree in the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant.There was no nursing error occurred in both of the observation group or the control group.Conclusion The use of outpatient mobile infusion system can significantly improve the nurses work efficiency,ensure nursing safety,improve quality of care and patients' satisfaction degree.

Objective To investigate the neonatal death causes and the relationship between the causes and the neonatal age,fetus age and the year in order to reduce neonatal mortality.Methods Data of neonatal autopsy and pathological records from 107 neonates in our hospital from January 1998 to May 2008 were collected,analyzed and summarized.Results 40.2%of the cases died within 24 hours and 72.9%died within 7 days after birth.The main death cause for those who died within 7 days was asphyxia(48.6%),and the main death causes ior those who died after 7 days were deformity(34.5%)and hemorrhage(34.5%).The most common death cause for premature bahies Was hyaline membrane disease(29.7%),and the most common one for term infants was congenital heart disease(23.3%).In the past 5 years.asphyxia Was still the most common death causein our country,those who died of infection were on the rise and the deformed babies increased too;on the contrary.those who died of obstetric causes and hemorrhage decreased.Conclusion Neonatal mortality could be reduced by prenatal management,prevention of premature delivery,improvement of the cooperation between pediatrics and obstetrics,and better management of NICU.

OBJECTIVE:To establish HPLC-ELSD method for content determination of astragaloside Ⅳ in Qizhi jiangtang granules. METHODS:The separation was performed on Hypersil ODS2(250 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m)column with acetonitrile-water(32 ∶ 68)as mobile phase. The flow rate was 1.0 mL?min-1. Injection volume was 10 ?L. The column temperature was 25 ℃. The temperature of drift tube for measurement was 110 ℃ and flow rate of N2 was 3.12 SLPM. RESULTS:Regression equation was A=1.699 C+6.181. The linear range of astragaloside Ⅳ was 0.259～1.295 mg?mL-1(r=0.999 6,n=5) with lowest detectable limit of 5.18 ?g?mL-1. An average recovery rate were 97.75%(RSD=2.17%). CONCLUSION:The method is simple,rapid and reliable for quality control of Qizhi jiangtang granules.

Purpose To investigate the clinicopathological features,diagnosis and differential diagnosis of myxoid synovial sarcoma (MSS).Methods Clinicopathological changes and immunophenotype were retrospectively evaluated in two MSS cases collected from Fujian Provincial Hospital,conbined with genetic mutation analysis.The relevant literatures were reviewed to explore its clinical and pathological features of this tumor.Restilts The two cases,one man and one woman,aged 71 and 15years,respectively.Tumor was located in the left down abdomen in case 1,and left frontal temporal lobe in case 2.Histopathologically,at low magnification in case 1,the tumor was nodular,which was made up of areas of hypercellularity and hypocellularity.In some areas of hypocellularity,the tumor cells were arranged in fascicular,story-form,sheet arrangements with mucoid degeneration.In hypercellularity area,the tumor cells were arranged in fascicular,fish bone-liked arrangenents.At low magnification in case 2,the tumor was nodular,which was made up of areas of hypercellularity and hypocellularity.In hypocellularity area,the tumor cells were arranged in net-like,sheet arrangements,and fascicular,sheet arrangements in case 2.In some area,the tumor cells were epithelioid with cluster distribution,without infringing brain tissue.Immunohistochemically,the tumor cells were diffusely positive for BCL-2,vimentin,and α-SMA and EMA were partially positive,while CD34,CD57,S-100,CD117,PLAP were negative.However,in case 2,only BCL-2 was positive,and MyoD1,GFAP,Olig-2,EMA,Syn,CD99,CgA,S-100,Myogenin,STAT6,CD34,desmin and α-SMA were negative.Molecular detection SYT-SSX fusion gene was detected in both cases.Conclusion MSS is a rare malignancy of soft tissue.The diagnosis of MSS depends on molecular pathology.The clinical and pathological findings are different from mucinous fibrosarcoma and solitary fibrous tumor.The treatment is surgical resection,combined with radiotherapy,with poor prognosis.

The different levels and clinical significance of high sensitivity C reactive protein(hs-CRP) , tumor necrosis factor-a ( TNF-α) , erythrocyte sedimentation rate ( ESR) , and urinary monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (uMCP-1) in 84 type 2 diabetic patients with different urine albumin excretion (UAE) were observed. The results indicated that the levels of hs-CRP,TNF-α,urinary MCP-1 ,and ESR in diabetic patients were significantly higher than those in control group,and the first three indexes increased with the levels of UAE. The results suggest that diabetic nephropathy seems to be correlated with inflammatory reactions.

Establishment of combination of disease and syndrome animal model is an ideal technology platform in TCM research. Currently, many scholars have prepared matching IBS animal models combined typical animal models with etiology, which em-bodies the advantages of syndrome differentiation and promotes the development of combination disease and syndrome animal model. Even though, there still exists some problems about sub-jective evaluation on syndromes, paying more attention on dis-ease and less on syndromes. Therefore, we should deepen the pathogenesis of diseases and TCM syndromes research on animal model replication and improve the method of construction of combination of disease and syndrome animal model through the biological research of combination of disease and syndrome sys-tem. By this way, the idea of preparation animal models will be more mature and the scientific connotation of TCM will be pres-ented more exactly.

Objectives To analyze and compare the clinical features of autonomic nervous mediated syncope (NMS) and pseudo psychogenic syncope (PPS) in children.Methods Clinical features were retrospectively analyzed in children with syncope complaint not caused by cardiac syncope, situation of syncope, drug-induced syncope, and neurogenic and metabolic diseases that caused brief loss of consciousness, and the clinical features of similarities and differences between NMS and PPS were compared. Results In 106 children with syncope were included, there were 85 cases (80.2%) of NMS, 13 cases (12.3%) of PPS, and 8 cases (7.5%) of unexplained syncope. PPS was induced by recent mental stimulation; the syncope was more frequent; the score of orthostatic intolerance was higher; the omen was rare; the duration of attack was longer. NMS was induced by long time standing, movement and body position change; the omen was mainly dizziness, blurred vision and gastrointestinal symptoms; the duration of attack was short (<5 min).Conclusions NMS is the most common cause of syncope in children, while PPS is an important cause of transient consciousness of non-syncope. There are similarities in clinical features between NMA and PPA and differential diagnosis is needed.
