1.The morphological characteristics and complications treatment of dome-shaped macula in high myopia
Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2016;32(3):323-326
Dome-shaped macula (DSM) of high myopia has been described as an inward convexity or bulge of the macular within the concavity of the posterior staphyloma in highly myopic eyes, with the bulge height over than 50 μm,which can be observed by optical coherence tomography. There are three patterns of DSM,including the typical round dome, the horizontally oriented oval-shaped dome and the vertically oriented oval-shaped dome. The pathogenesis of DSM development remains unclear, several hypotheses have been suggested, such as localized choroidal thickening in the macular area, relatively localized thickness variation of the sclera under the macula, resistance to deformation of sclera staphyloma, ocular hypotony and tangential vitreoretinal traction.Vision-threatening macular complications of DSM including serous retinal detachment, choroidal neovascularization, foveoschisis and retinal pigment epithelial atrophy.Clinically, asymptomatic patients with DSM mainly take regular follow-up observation.Appears serous retinal detachment and significant visual impairment, treatment with half-dose photodynamic therapy, supplementary of laser photocoagulation or oral spironolactone may have a beneficial effect. However, more large clinical studies are required to confirm the exact efficacy of these treatments.

Objective To evaluate the relation between cystatin C and the presence and severity of asymptomatic coronary artery disease in metabolic syndrome(MetS).Methods A total of 201 asymptomatic MetS patients with normal renal function were per-formed the coronary angiograph and the detection of serum Cystatin C level and other risk factors for atherosclerosis. Results Ser-um cystatin C level in the MetS patients with asymptomatic coronary artery disease were significantly higher than those in the pa-tients without coronary artery disease, moreover the more severe of the disease, the higher the cyctatin C,which was independently associated with other risk factors for atherosclerosis. Conclusion Serum cystatin C level can been used as the index for the presence and severity of asymptomatic coronary artery disease in Mets with normal kidney function.

Objective To explore the knowledge about HIV/AIDS and related factors associated among farmer workers with private corporations in Guangxi and to inform intervention programs. Methods Questionnaire survey was conducted among workers working with 10 private corporations, and data were analyzed using logistic regression. Results Correct answers to questions about HIV/AIDS transmission route accounted for over 85%,yet much less regarding knowledge about non-transmission routes and prevention methods. The factors associated with knowledge about HIV/AIDS included gender, age, nationality, registered living place and years of schooling. Conclusions HIV/AIDS-related education should be strengthened for farmer workers working for private corporations.

Objective To evaluate the short-term efficacy of Perigee system in the treatment of anterior pelvic organ prolapse. Methods From October 2012 to September 2014, 59 patients with pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic organ prolapse quantitation system (POP-Q) were diagnosed as anterior pelvic organ prolapse Ⅲ degree and above were performed Perigee anterior pelvic floor reconstruction, while some patients combined with sacrospinous ligament suspension, posterior wall repair or posterior pelvic reconstruction surgery for pelvic prolapses. Pelvic floor distress inventory-short form 20 (PFDI-20), pelvic organ prolapse-urinary incontinence sexual questionnaire-12 (PISQ-12) were evaluated, and postoperative POP-Q were used to analyze the changes of the indexes and postoperative complications. Results In 59 patients, the average operation time was (99±29) minutes, the average intraoperative blood loss was (119± 92) ml. The median postoperative follow-up time of 59 cases was 17.5 months (range:8-30 months), median follow-up time of subjuctive symptoms was 21.2 months (range:11-34 months), the total score of PFDI-20 was compared with the preoperative, and the difference was statistically significant (5.6 versus 27.8, P<0.01). It was statistically significant of PISQ-12 score before and after surgery (34±3 versus 36±4, P<0.05). Short-term anatomical cure rate was 98%(58/59), 1 cases (2%, 1/59) in recurrence, 2 cases (3%, 2/59) of erosion. Conclusion This results show that the Perigee system is effective and reliable in the treatment of anterior pelvic organ prolapse.

Journal of International Pharmaceutical Research 2017;44(6):510-513
The key factor of chemotherapy for brain disorders is to penetrate brain blood barrier(BBB). Receptor mediated en-docytosis is one of the mechanisms for drug carriers to cross the BBB. Angiopep-2(ANG)can specifically bind to low density lipopro-tein receptor-related proteins 1(LRP-1)overexpressed on BBB and glioma cells, thus exhibits a higher LRP-mediated BBB penetra-tion capability. Its targeting efficiency is higher than that of other targeting molecules such as transferrin and(TF)lactoferrin(LF). This paper introduces the structure and function of ANG,and its application in brain targeting delivery systems,in order to provide references for research and development of brain targeting preparations and guidance for therapy of brain diseases.

ObjectiveThis study was to explore the feasibility of using the orthogonal plane dose formed by the coronal and sagittal plane to verify the volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) plan.MethodsThe VMAT plans of 12 patients were included in this study. The orthogonal plane dose formed by the coronal and sagittal plane were measured based on the combination of 2D ionization chamber array and multicube phantom, and the point dose were measured based on a multiple hole cylindrical phantom attached with two 0.125 cm3 ionization chamber probes.ResultsIn the measurement of the point dose, the average error was 1.5% in high dose area ( more than 80% of maximum),and 1.7% in low dose area ( less than 80% of maximum),respectively. The discrepancy of point dose measurement was 1.3% between the 2D ionization chamber array and the VMAT planning system. In the measurement of the orthogonal plane dose, the pass rate of γ were 93.7% for 2%/2 mm and 97.2% for 3%/3 mm.ConclusionIt is reliable for using the orthogonal plane dose formed by the coronal and sagittal plane to verify the VMAT plan.
