A polymer film of vitamin B1 was obtained at a graphite carbon electrode by cyclic voltammetric method in phosphate buffer solution (PBS). Cyclic voltammograms of the film electrode in PBS (pH 5) exhibited one pair redox waves, Epa=350 mV,Epc=325 mV,different from monomer vitamin B1. The peak currents of poly-VB1 films was proportional to (scan rate)1/2, which showed that the charge transfer was controlled by diffusion in the polymer film. The Poly-VB1 modified electrode showed a good catalytic ability to dopamine and epinephrine. At the modified electrod, the peak potential for oxidation of dopamine occurred at 250 mV and 200 mV for epinephrine, while they were shifted towards the negative direction 100 mV and 300 mV respectively at the bare glassy carbon electrode . And their peak current had a linear relationship to the concentrations in the range of 8.0×10-7~1.0×10-4 mol/L for dopamine and 1.0×10-6~1.0×10-4 mol/L for epinephrine.

OBJECTIVE To study the effect of different concentrations of 17-AAG and EGCG monotherapy or in combination on the induced apoptosis in human nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and to explore new molecular targets for the treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. METHODS MTT colorimetric method and fluorescent staining were used to detect the change of CNE proliferation inhibition rate and cell morphology. And furthermore, the expression level of Bcl-2, Bax, Caspase-3 were detected by RT-PCR. RESULTS 1. 17-AAG or EGCG alone had inhibitory effect on the human nasopharyngeal carcinoma CNE cells at 24 h, 48h and 72 h, and it was related with time and dose(P<0.01). The inhibition effect of combination of 17-AAG and EGCG was significantly increased, which was time and dose dependent(P<0.01). 2. RT-PCR was used to detect the mRNA expression level of Bcl-2, Bax and caspase-3. The level of Caspase-3 and Bax mRNA expression after treated by 17-AAG and EGCG was significantly higher, and the level of bcl-2 mRNA expression was lower than that after treated by 17-AAG or EGCG alone. CONCLUSION Our investigation implied that 17-AAG and EGCG in combination can effectively inhibit the proliferation of human nasopharyngeal carcinoma CNE cells. The involved mechanisms may be associated with the upregulation of Bax and Caspase-3 expression.

This study was aimed to observe the improvement of Qiju Runmu Tie (QRT) on experimental dry eye syndrome in rats. The fourth day after the bleomycin hydrochloride (8 g·mL-1) was injected into the intraorbital lacrimal gland (0.06 mL) and extraorbital lacrimal gland (0.12 mL), QRT of large, medium, and small dosage (0.276 g·mL-1, 0.138 g·mL-1, 0.069 g·mL-1) was applied on rat's eyes continuously for 10 days, once a day, 1 hour every time. Rats in the control group and model group were applied with a patch containing distilled water in the same operation. The tear secretions, time of tear film break-up and pathological changes of lacrimal gland were observed from the eleventh day to the thirteenth day after injection. The results showed that compared with the control group, bleomycin hydrochloride can induce atrophy of lacrimal gland, hyperplasia and decrease bubbly mucus in the acinar lumina, significant reduce of tear secretion, and significant shorten the time of tear film break-up. Compared with the model group, QRT can significantly increase the amount of tear secretion (P <0.05), extend the tear film break-up time (P < 0.01). And the medium dosage of QRT can obviously reduce lacrimal gland tissue injury. It was concluded that external application of QRT can improve symptoms of experi-mental dry eye syndrome in rats.

Aim To study the effect of rhein on renal damage induced by aristolochic acid. Methods Ze-brafish model of aristolochic acid nephropathy, genera-ted by treating zebrafish larvae with aristolochic acid for 24 h, was treated with rhein simultaneously . Mor-pholigical changes were observed and the creatinine level in larvae tissue was measured. And mRNA ex-pression levels of inflammatory factor cox2 a and fibrosis factor TGF-β1 in larvae tissue were detected using qPCR. Results Some larvae show periocular edema and circulation system defection e. g. weak heart beat, narrow cardiac vesicle, decreased blood flow and even blockage , with a dose-response relationship after expo-sure to aristolochic acid for 24 h. The creatinine level in larvae tissue of the treated group was significantly higher than that of the control larvae. And the expres-sion levels of cox2 a and TGF-β1 in larvae tissue of the treated group were also significantly increased. Per-centage of abnormal larvae and creatinine level in lar-vae tissue were decreased when treated with rhein sim-ultaneously. And the expression levels of cox2a was down-regulated by rhein compared with the aristolochic acid treated group. But rhein had no effect on TGF-β1 expression. Conclusion To some extent rhein can protect renal from damage induced by aristolochic acid.
