Objective To investigate the expression feature of cx43 and E-cadherin protein in non-small cell lung cancer and its clinical significance. Methods Paraffin embedded tissue from 50 cases of primary lung carcinomas and 20 non lung carcinomas cases were investigated for expression of Cx43 and E-cadherin by immunohistochemistry(ABC method), and the relationship between Cx43, E-cadherin and the clinical pathology of lung carcinomas was analyzed. Results Positive rate of Cx43 and E-cadherin expression in lung cancer was 54 % and 46 %, respectively. There were expression of Cx43 and E-cadherin in all 20 non lung carcinomas cases. The positive rate of Cx43 and E-cadherin expression gradually decreased with tumor progression. There were a distinct statistic difference between stageⅠ, stageⅡand stage Ⅲ, stage Ⅳ. The expression of Cx43 and E-cadherin in well-moderate pathological grading were higher than those in poor. Significant relationship was found between the positive rate of E-cadherin and lymph node metastasis. Primary lung carcinoma with lymph node metastasis showed no higher expression of Cx43 than lung carcinoma without lymph node metastasis. The positive rate of Cx43 expression in adenocarcinoma was significantly higher than that in squamous cell carcinoma and large cell un-differentiated carcinoma. The expression of E-cadherin was not related to pathological typing. Conclusion Cx43 and E-cadherin can be looked as the important index for judging the metastasis and prognosis of lung cancer.

Objective Investigate the clinicopathological characteristics of h?rthle cell tumors of the thyroid. Methods Sixteen cases of HCT were studied by the clinicopathological study and immunohistochemical and review of the literature. Results There were 13 cases of h?rthle cell adenomas, 5 h?rthle cell follicular carcinomas. Immunostains showed that almost all benign and malignant HCT expressed TG, vimentin, S-100 protein. Conclusions HCT is a potential malignant tumor with a defined pathologic feature. It should be follow up for a longer time to their biological behaviors. To distinguish between the benign and the malignant depends on traditional encapsulation, and whether there is a blood vessel invasion or metastasis.

To review the scientific evidence of system management for lung cancer patients with cancer- related fatigue by the method of literature review and evaluate researchers on authenticity, importance and applicability, in order to improve the nursing quality and the quality of life of them. Interventions of lung cancer patients with cancer- related fatigue mainly includes: non- drug intervention, drug intervention and self- management. The use of intervention measures should be combined with the situation of the patients. however, many of the effectiveness of the intervention measures not sure, need large sample randomized controlled trial verifies the results .

BACKGROUND: The nomination of undifferentiated spondyloarthropathy (USpA) has provided clues for the early diagnosis of spondylitis ankylopoietica and other subsets of SpA, thereby avoiding possible wrong treatments.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the prevalence of SpA in the workers and their adult relatives aged over 16 years old from a factory in Beijing urban district, as well as the results of human major histocompatibility complex (MHC) B27 and X-ray inspection on sacroiliac joint.DESIGN: Systematic sampling investigation.SETTING: Department of Internal Medicine, Chenghai District People's Hospital of Shantou City; Rheumatism Research Institute, Medical College of Shantou University; Department of Internal Medicine, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital.PARTICIPANTS: A survey was conducted among 1982 workers and their adult relatives aged over 16 years from a factory in Beijing urban district between May and October 1999; there were 1,025 males and 957 females. They all volunteered into this study after informed of the experiment.METHODS: All examinees were surveyed door to door with the modified Chinese-International Anti-rheumatic Alliance Rheumatism Questionnaire, those with positive results were subjected to physical examination and those suspicious cases were subjected to MHC-B27 and X-ray examination.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The prevalence of SpA in the workersand their adult relatives aged over 16 years from a factory in Beijing urban district, as well as the results of MHC-B27 and sacroiliac joint X-ray inspection.RESULTS: Totally 1,982 subjects were enrolled in this study and all entered the result analysis. The prevalence of spondyloarthropathy was 1.61%(32/1 982), amongst which the prevalence of ankylopoietic spondylitis,USpA, and psoriastic arthritis was 0.31% (6/1 982), 1.21% (24/1 982),and 0.10% (2/1 982), respectively. No other subsets of SpA were observed. USpA was mainly presented by inflammatory lumbago and asymmetric arthrosteitis [83% (20/24), 62% (15/24)], while rheumatoid factor was negative in all subjects. Meanwhile, MHC-B27 was proved positive in 25% (6/24) subjects with the male-to-female ratio of 1.2:1.CONCLUSION: The prevalence of SpA is 1.61% in Beijing urban area, and SpA mainly consists of ankylopoietic spondylitis and USpA.
