1.Advances in the pathogenesis, prevention and treatment in necrotizing enterocolitis of newborn
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2012;19(3):319-321
Necrotizing enterocolitis of newborn (NEC) remains a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in neonatal intensive care units.Although many advances have been made in the understanding of this disease, the pathophysiology remains incompletely clear, and treatment is mainly limited to supportive care.In recent years, studies have focussd on the role of the inflammatory mediators, signaling and their impacts on the disease process.Investigators also made some advances in the fields of intestinal proteome and probiotics.Early breasffeeding and probiotics are promoted to prevent and/or amehorate neonatal NEC.In this artical,we reviewed the advances in the above fields for helping to the pathogenesis and treatment of NEC.
2.Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and chronic sinusitis
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(12):-
With the extensive clinical application of broad-spectrum antibiotics,methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus(MRSA) has become an important pathogen in the nosocomial infections, chronic sinusitis caused by which should be attached importance to.Therefore,in order to formulate accurate and quick detection methods and available therapeutic regimen,it is necessary to investigate MRSA including its biotic characteristics, mechanism of antibiotic-resistance and possible reasons leading to chronic sinusitis. This paper outlines progresses about these researches in recent years.
3.The Diagnostic Value of Colonoscopy Compared with Colon Double Contrast Radiography to Colon Carcinoma
Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(01):-
Objective To evaluate the value of diagnose of colon carcinoma by colonoscopy and double contrast radiography. Methods The results and data of radiography diagnosis, colonscopy diagnosis, biopsy and post-operation pathology were analyzed retrospectively. Results The rate of accordance by X-ray diagnosis was 85.4%,colonscopy 80.5% and biopsy 84.6%.Conclusion The method of examination of colon double contrast radiography preceeds to colonoscopy examination when the patients were suspected suffering from the right colon or left colon carcinoma accompanying by masses;colonoscopy is the first method of diagnosis to choose when the patients were suspected suffering from carcinoma of sigmoid colon or colon polyps undergoing malignant changes.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(04):-
The nasal route is one of the most permeable and highly vascularized site for ensuring rapid drug absorption and onset of therapeutic action. It has been potentially explored as an alternative route for delivery of drugs with poor bioavailability and for the biosensitive and high molecular weight compounds such as proteins, peptides, steroids, vaccines, etc. In this review nasal drug delivery approach and its limitations, some factors influencing drug absorption, mucoadhesion, and the safety of nasal mucoadhesive drug delivery systems as well were discussed.
5.Advances in the image anatomy of the frontal recess
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(03):-
Frontal recess locates at the anterosuperior part of the ethmoidal labyrinth, the anatomical structure of which is most complicated. The acknowledgement of this area is fundamental for the endoscopic frontal sinus surgery. With the development of technology, images of the computed tomography can display more delicate micro structure of the anatomy. So we can study the frontal recess anatomy in detail with the technique. This study reviewed the current research on the image anatomy of the frontal recess.
6.Chronic cough and postnasal drip syndrome
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(07):-
To discuss the relativity of chronic cough and postnasal drip syndrome(PNDS) for better clinical diagnosis and treatment.
7.Bacterial biofilm:A new target in the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis
Xiangrong CHENG ; Qiuping WANG
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2004;0(02):-
Chronic rhinosinusitis(CRS) is a common infectious disease and a subpopulation of patients fail to respond to either medical or surgical intervention.Bacterial biofilms(BBF) are 3-dimensional aggregates of bacteria, which have special properties due to their group structure, including increased resistance to antibiotics in some forms.Evidence suggests that BBF may play an important role in CRS.The goal of this article is to provide an overview of BBF with the special focus on CRS.A further understanding of the role of BBF may lead to the development of more appropriate therapies for CRS.
8.Neurogenic inflammation in the development of allergic rhinitis and asthma
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(05):-
The incidence of allergic airway diseases has grown steadily in the past decade.Allergic rhinitis is closely associated with the development of asthma.Genetic and environmental factors are etiologically considered to be the main contributors to the development of allergic airway diseases. So far, overwhelming data from studies on humans and animals have indicated a systemic pathway linking the upper and lower airways.Neurogenic inflammation plays an important role in allergic airway diseases. This paper outlines the latest progress in the related researches.

Chinese Journal of Diabetes 2006;14(1):26-28
Objective To investigate and analyze the effect and insulin dosage of continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion(CSII) in type 2 diabetes. Methods 106 hospitalized patients with type 2 diabetes, who had poorly controlled blood glucose, were treated by insulin pump for 8 days, without oral hypoglycemic agents. The treatment days when blood glucose was well controlled and the insulin dosage at that time were observed. The related foctors for the therapeutic effects were analyzed. Results When blood glucose were well controlled, the mean time was 5.4±1.8 days, the(basal) insulin was 0.23±0.07(u/kg,day),the bolus before breakfest was 0.12±0.05(u/kg),the bolus before dinner was 0.14±0.06(u/kg),the bolus before supper was 0.14±0.06(u/kg).The dosage of insulin was decreased after blood glucose were well controlled. The frequency of hypoglycemia was 0.04±0.21(times/per patient),the frequency of biochemical hypoglycemia was 0.07±0.25(times/per patient) and reaction of hypoglycemia was 0.96±1.18(times/per patient). Conclusions The hyperglycemia of type 2 diabetes could be corrected by intensive insulin pump within 5-6 days.Multiple regression showed that fasting blood glucose and age were the factors that affect the time for blood glucose to be targeted.Duration of diabetes, fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels before treatment affect the required insulin dosage.

Objective To study the level changes of tumor necrosis factor ? (TNF ?)and endothelin 1 (ET 1) and the intervention role of vitamin E and vitamin C in the patients with congestive heart failure (CHF).Methods 65 cases of heart failure were randomized into A group of 32 cases and B group of 33 cases.A group were given cardiotonic, diuretic and extending blood vessel drugs;B group were given 200 mg vitamin E once a day and 200 mg vitamin C three times a day,in the duration of two weeks, besides the medications administered to A group.Specific radioimmunoassay and double antibody sandwich ELISA were used to measure the concentrations of TNF ? and ET 1 of 65 cases with heart failure and 32 healthy subjects. Results The TNF ? and ET 1 levels of congestive heart failure patients were significantly higher than those in the control group (P
