Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2011;27(5):341-345
Objective To probe into the present deployment of human resources at TCM hospitals, for the purpose of enabling the TCM hospital administrators in their policy making and nmagement of human resources. Methods 39 hospitals in the province were subject to a descriptive stndy. Results Nursing human resources in TCM hospitals in the province were found to be in shortage in general;other characteristics include irrational structure of their academic titles, insufficient nurses with senior academic titles, yet an improving proportion of competent nurses;lack of a unified model for TCM nursing in-service education confines the growth of TCM nursing personnel and TCM nursing academic development.Cbnclusion Health authorities and hospitals should deploy nurses per nursing workload, scientifically manage the contractual nurses, optimize the makeup of nursing personnel, launch fundamental training in TCM nursing, for the purposes of higher HR efficiency and better inheritance and development of TCM nursing studies.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of transcutaneous acupoint electrical nerve stimulation (TEAS) in treating post-stroke fatigue.Method A total of 80 patients with post-stroke fatigue were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 40 cases in each group. The control group was intervened by conventional post-stroke treatment, while the treatment group by TEAS in addition to the intervention given to the control group. The treatment was given once a day, 7 d as a treatment course, successively for 2 treatment courses with 1-d interval between the two courses. The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS) were observed before and after the treatment.Result After 2 treatment courses, the NIHSS and FSS scores in the treatment group were significantly different from those before the treatment (P<0.05). The NIHSS and FSS scores in the treatment group were significantly different from those in the control group after 2 treatment courses (P<0.05). Conclusion TEAS can effectively alleviate the symptoms of post-stroke fatigue and promote the recovery.

To observe and compare the therapeutic effects of treating female menopausal syndrome with auricular-point-pressing therapy and acupuncture, 86 patients were randomly divided into auricularpoint pressing group and acupuncture group, the comparative observation was conducted according to a modified Kupperman index. Statistical analysis showed that there's no significant difference between the therapeutic effects of the two groups. Auricular-point-pressing therapy and acupuncture were both effective in treating female menopausal syndrome, while auricular-point-pressing had the advantages of easy operation and acceptance.

Objective:To explore the role CD4+CD45RO+memory T cells in the pathogenesis of Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) by detecting the percentages of CD4+CD45RO+ memory T cells in peripheral blood mononuclear cells in peripheral blood of newly diagnosed HT patients. Methods:53HT patients and 43 matched healthy controls (HC) were included in this study. According to the thyroid functions,HT patients were divided into euthyroid subset(HT-A,n =15) ,subclinical hypothyroidism(HT-B,n=14) and overt hypothyroidism subset (HT-C,n=24). The percentages of CD4+CD45RO+memory T cells in PBMCs,as well as the level of serum IFN-γ and IL-17,and thyroid functions, and the titers of thyroid-specific autoantibodies (TPOAb,TgAb) were respectively detected by flow cytometry,ELISA,and ECLIA. Results:The percentages of CD4+CD45RO+ memory T cells in PBMCs,as well as the level of serum IFN-γ and IL-17,the titers of TPOAb,TgAb were all significantly higher than that in HC(P<0. 01). Bivariate correlation revealed that the percentages of CD4+CD45RO+ memory T cells positively correlated with the level of serum IFN-γ,TPOAb and TgAb(P<0. 01,P=0. 015,P<0. 01) in HT patients. Conclusion:The significant increase of CD4+CD45RO+memory T cells in peripheral blood of patients with HT suggested a role of CD4+CD45RO+ memory T cells in the pathogenesis of this disease.

Objective: To explore the changes and signiifcance of serum level of salusins in patients with essential hypertension (EH), obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) and OSAHS complicated hypertension.
Methods: Our research included 4 groups: EH+OSAHS group,n=50, EH group,n=60, OSAHS group,n=35 and Control group,n=31 healthy subjects. Blood pressure, AHI index, body weight, height and routine biochemical examination were conducted and recorded in all subjects, serum levels of salusin-α and salusin-β were detected by ELISA, the relationship between each variable and OSAHS complicated hypertension was studied by multivariate Logistic regression analysis.
Results:①Serum levels of salusin-α were reduced accordingly as in Control group (7.438±1.626) pg/ml, in OSAHS group (6.186±1.200) pg/ml, in EH group (5.938±1.287) pg/ml and in EH+OSAHS group (5.299±1.398) pg/ml; for difference between OSAHS group and EH group,P>0.05 and for differences between other groups, allP<0.01.②Serumlevels of salusin-βwere decreased accordingly as in Control group (10.575±1.791) pg/ml, in OSAHS group (10.279±0.530) pg/ml, in EHgroup (9.698±0.344) pg/ml and in EH+OSAHS group (9.070±0.586) pg/ml; for differences between OSAHS group and Control group, EH group, bothP>0.05 and fordifferences between other groups, allP<0.05.③Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that serum level of salusin-α was independently and negatively related to OSAHS complicated hypertension (OR=-0.736,P<0.05); serum level of salusin-β was independently and negatively related to OSAHS complicated hypertension (r=-0.731,P<0.05).
Conclusion: Low serum levels of salusin-α and salusin-β were related to OSAHS complicated hypertension.
