Objective:To investigate the beneficial effect of erythropoietin(EPO)on experimental allergic encephalomyelitis(EAE).Methods: The severity of EAE mice with or without EPO therapy were evaluated through clinical symptoms score and histological observation.Mononuclear cells from spleens,lymph nodes, brains and lumber spinal cords were applied to flow cytometry to detect ratios of CD4~+T subgroup, scales of apoptotic and dead cells, levels of inflammatory cytokines.LDH release of peripheral mononuclear cells were examined after incubating with EPO at different concentrations.Results: EPO ameliorated clinical symptoms and infiltration of pathological inflammatory cells in EAE mice(P＜0.05); Ratio of CD4~+T subgroup, levels of IL-17 and IFN-γ in EAE mice with EPO therapy were significantly lower than those of EAE control group(P＜0.05).No statistical significant differences existed on scales of dead cells, levels of IL-10 and CD4~+ CD25~+ T cells (P＞0.05).EPO at the concentrstions of 1-1 000 U/ml had no effect on LDH release of peripheral mononuclear cells(P＞0.05).Conclusion: EPO play the role of neuroprotecion in EAE mice by the way of decreasing infiltrating inflammatory cells and lowering the levels of IL-17 and IFN-γ.

Aim To investigate the blockade of cadmium on store operated calcium channels and the fluorescence interference of cadmium with Fura-2.Methods PC12 cells were used to determine the intracellular calcium concentration [Ca~(2+)]i indicated by change in Fura-2 fluorescence ratio(F_(340)/F_(380)).Results Introduction of cadmium induced a significant increase in Fura-2 fluorescence ratio following thapsigargin-evoked calcium entry;Besides,cadmium gave rise to a remarkable elevation in Fura-2 fluorescence ratio following breakdown of the plasma membrane by triton,a detergent.The Fura-2 fluorescence was increased in the presence of cadmium and Fura-2/AM,simultaneously in the absence of PC12 cells.Conclusion Cadmium can interfere with the Fura-2 fluorescence.

AIM To investigate the effect of ClC-3 antisense oligonucleotide on apoptosis induced by thapsigargin in PC12 cells. METHODS Western-blot was performed to detect the protein expression of ClC-3 in PC12 cells. MTT assay was used to measure the effect of ClC-3 antisense oligonucleotide on growth inhibition induced by thapsigargin. The effect of ClC-3 antisense oligonucleotide on apoptosis was studied with the fluorescent microscopy, DNA agarose gel electrophoresis, flow cytometry analysis. OBJECTIVE:To probe the role of responsible pharmacist on irrational medical order intervention in Pharmacy Intra-venous Admixture Service (PIVAS),and to improve rational drug use in our hospital. METHODS:501 115 medical orders from PIVAS of our hospital during Jan.-Jun. 2012 were analyzed retrospectively. Irrational medical orders of 499 189 medical orders dur-ing Jul.-Dec. 2013 were classified and summarized after the establishment of responsible pharmacists system and pharmacist inter-vention. RESULTS:The number of irrational medical orders was 918(0.183 2%),and decreased to 448(0.089 7%)after interven-tion. Irrational medical orders of solvent selection reduced from 134(0.026 7%)to 69(0.013 8%);irrational medical orders of sol-vent volume reduced from 435(0.086 8%) to 206(0.041 3%);irrational medical orders of drug dosage reduced from 241(0.048 1%)to 117(0.023 4%);irrational medical orders of drug compatibility reduced from 51(0.010 2%)to 28(0.005 6%);irrational medical orders of dosing frequency reduced from 17(0.003 4%)to 2(0.000 4%). CONCLUSIONS:What responsible pharmacists intervened in the irrational doctor’s orders of intravenous drip was effective and feasible in PIVAS,improved rational drug use and guaranteed the safety of drug use.

BACKGROUND:Neurotoxin 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine can induce the clinical, biochemical and pathological characteristics similar to those observed in primary Parkinson’s disease. OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on the proliferation of endogenous neural stem cells of Parkinson’s disease model mice and the mood change.
METHODS:A total of 72 male C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into four groups:normal saline group, Parkinson’s disease model group (model group), sham-repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation group (sham group) and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation group. The mice received 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine injection×4 to establish acute Parkinson’s disease models. The mice in the normal saline group were injected the same volume saline. And 24 hours after the last injection of 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3, 6-tetrahydropyridine, the mice in the repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation group received five trains of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, 1 Hz for 25 seconds, at an intensity of 1 Tesla daily for 1, 3, 7 consecutive days. Sham group mice were not exposed to the magnetic field. No treatment was performed in the mice of model group. The mood change was evaluated using the elevated-plus maze testing before and after repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment. The change in expression of nestin in the subventricular zone was observed by using immunohistochemical technique.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) Elevated-plus maze testing:There was no statistical significance about percentage of opening arm time accounting for total time among groups and at different time points in each group, but after stimulation, the percentage of opening arm time accounting for total time showed a declined tendency. (2) The results of nestin immunohistochemical staining:Compared to the normal saline group, the number of nestin-positive cells of the model group was increased at days 3 and 7, and there was no statistical significance in the number of nestin-positive cells between model group and sham group;Compared to the sham group and model group, the number of nestin-positive cells of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation group were evidently increased;The proliferation of endogenous neural stem cells was time-dependent, endogenous neural stem cells exhibited outward migration gradual y along the certain way, and some cells were able to migrate to the corpus cal osum at day 3, and even to the cerebral cortex at day 7. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation can promote the endogenous neural stem cells in a time-depended manner.

Objective To learn the satisfaction and influencing factors of medical insurance for urban residents in Taiyuan city.Methods The multi-stage random sampling method was used to survey the satisfaction of medical insurance for urban residents so covered in 4 districts of Taiyuan city. The questionnaire covered basic personal information, and comments of the residents on the three dimensions of medical insurance regarding the stakeholders. The data solicited were subject to descriptive analysis, Kruskal-Wallis test and ordered multi-class logistic regression analysis. Results The rate of overall satisfaction of urban residents′ medical insurance in Taiyuan city was 44.6% , that of average satisfaction was 48.3% , and that of dissatisfaction was 7.1%.For residents of different family size and physical health status, the differences of their satisfaction were statistically different(P<0.05).Ordered multi-class logistic regression analysis showed that the proportion of reimbursement, the scope of drug treatment and the efficiency of treatment were top factors affecting their satisfaction ( OR > 1 ). Conclusions The rate of overall satisfaction of medical insurance by urban residents in Taiyuan city is low. To improve their satisfaction, it is important to increase the proportion of reimbursement, expand the scope of reimbursement for diagnosis and treatment along with drugs, simplify the reimbursement procedures, and improve the service attitude of the service agencies.

Objective To study the methods andfeasibility of re-entry of NAT reactive blood donors.Methods ELISA Non-Reactive(NR) and NAT Reactive(R) Blood Donors in 2012-2014 were selected and informed consent.Blood samples collected were tested:ELISA (HBsAg、Anti-HCV、Anti-HIV and Anti-TP) and NAT (HBV-DNA、HCV-RNA and HIVRNA).ELISA NR/NAT NR samples were tested by ECLA for HBsAg、HBeAg、Anti-HBs、Anti-HBc、Anti-HBe、Anti-HCV、Anti-HIV.Results 30 donors were called back,and 11 of them were ELISA NR/NAT R,which were deferred permanently.19 of them were ELISA NR/NAT NR,and the ECLA results were 89.5％ ELISA NR/NAT NR donors were Anti-HBc R and/or Anti-HBe R (12 cases Anti-HBc/Anti-HBe R、5 cases Anti-HBe R).Anti-HBc R or Anti-HBe R donors had risk of infection,which were deferred permanently.2 cases all items Non-Reactive may be eligible for re-entry.Conclusion Re-entry of NAT reactive blood donors is very necessary and meaningful,but in the view of blood safety,it is important that establish a set of safe program for Chinese.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of matrix gamma carboxy glutamic acid protein(MGP) for coronary heart disease(CHD) .Methods Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay was performed for the detection of serum MGP level in health‐y subjects and CHD patients with different coronary artery calcium score(CACS) .Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve was used to analyze the diagnostic value of MGP for CHD .Results Between CHD patients and healthy subjects ,and CHD patients with different CACS ,the difference of serum MGP level was significant ,and serum MGP level was positively correlated with CACS (P<0 .05) .ROC curve of showed that the area under ROC curve was 0 .667 ,the diagnostic threshold was 70 .69 pg/mL ,the diag‐nostic sensitivity was 58 .80% ,the specificity was 83 .70% and the Youden index was 0 .425 .Conclusion CHD patients might be with abnormal serum MGP level ,which could be positively correlated with CACS .MGP might be with significant value for the diag‐nosis of CHD ,could be useful for the clinical prevention and early diagnosis of CHD .

Objective To explore the cleaning status and cleaning quality of dental handpieces in various types of medical institutions in Suzhou City.Methods On October 26-31, 2015, dental clinics in the whole city were sampled according to cross-sectional survey and proportional sampling method, the cleaning quality of dental handpieces in each clinic was detected by ATP bioluminescence assay.Results 72 medical institutions, 201 handpieces, 402 samples in 10 administrative regions of the city were sampled, 42 samples was unqualified, unqualified rate was 10.45％, unqualified rate of cleaning of dental handpiece surface was higher than waterline of dental handpiece(17.91％ vs 2.99％, P<0.05).Cleaning quality of dental handpieces in different grades of medical institutions was different(P<0.05), tertiary medical institutions were all ualified, medical institutions without grade was 14.45％.According to the classification based on name of different medical institutions, cleaning quality of handpieces was statistically significant(P<0.05), cleaning efficacy of dental handpieces in department of stomatology of public hospitals was best(unqualified rate was 4.31％), while private dental clinics had the worst cleaning efficacy(unqualified rate was 13.81％).Conclusion Education and training of dental handpieces cleaning in the whole city should be strengthened, especially the management of cleaning of dental handpieces in low grade and private dental clinics.
